I know this is a year old, but I didn't see one thing that I like, a packable backpack or bag. Several fold up to fit in your pocket. Assuming the worst and you exit the plane with what's in your pockets only, having a bag or sack to use later and gather up useful stuff is an easy win. That and one or two of your pocketable items can go down the slides with you, concealed in your pocket.
i travel with only a backpack, credit card, and mooolah...that about it. you have a lot of stuffs. but you are way more prepared that moi in everything lol
🎉 Great video tips. I would add one suggestion... since legroom is so very tight, it's almost impossible to retrieve stuff from your bag that's underneath the seat in front of you... Suggestion..... pack into the carry-on/personal item either a small shopping bag or cheap collapsable $ storebag with stuff you need immediately on the plane... ie watee bottle, candy bars/food, flashlight, hand sanitizer, wipes for the tray and handrests, magazine, battery pack, etc...
The door wedge is especially handy. I've been in a hotel room that got double-booked (twice!) and a had a stranger let himself into the room with a duplicate key.
yeah I like them, it's a nice piece of kit. I've also had a couple bad incidents in hotels when someone tried to get in, middle of night. As soon as I yelled "bad idea, you picked the wrong room MOFO" they bolted
Wow man! Great Video! That is some very cool and useful stuff. Makes me want to get a lot of those things. That bag is definitely handy. Door alarm is a great idea. All good stuff. 👍
All I ever bring nowadays when I travel by air is a storm whistle and a flashlight. I wish I could bring a lot more but I don’t like checking in my bags. Nice set of preps to have when traveling, Sarge!
Thank you - all of those flights I've taken - I could have used the brightly colored rope tied to the bag. That would be especially good when everyone else has B4 and duffel bags, too. Love your kit overall and think anyone would give you an A+
Hello dear friend 😊❤️ This is very interesting video sharing ❤️📷 It's great 👌👌👌👌 Thanks for sharing this with us Big Big like thumbs up 👍👍👍👍 See you again take care God bless 🙏🙏🕊️
Great video. I also include a small Velcro strap for security. It can be used over the door latch to prevent devices from unlatching and gaining access to your hotel room.
I had a portable door lock that you put on the bolt. It came in very handy first time i brought it in India... someone was trying all the locks on the doors. The fitted door one failed but the one i brought with me stopped them. I think it might of been something they try every night. Now i always take it with me and part of my bug out bag.
I've seen those, definitely a good piece of kit! yes I have had a couple people try to get in my room when travelling.. but most of the time seemed like drunk person making a mistake ... not taking any chances of course.
@Prepping With Sarge my place definitely was a drunk guy. I don't speak the language but it sounded very methodical and the place was dodgy AF... its also the reason I don't do the hostel backpacking any more.
(Wife typing) Hello! Thank you for this list. My husband and I are preparing for a trip out of country, but are also situationally conscientious people, if you get my meaning. Two questions for you, sir. Firstly, I watched the video twice, but is there a reason you don't carry a water filter/life straw type item? Thinking of the poorer quality water in some countries OR the unfortunate event of a natural disaster. Secondly, are Tourniquets allowed on carry-ons? Thinking of the worst case scenario here, which is a crash. Just my thoughts as I begin packing. Thank you, again!
Both are good suggestions. Sometime i travel with the Grayl water filter, it’s great (and easy) for personal use. I also keep water purification tabs in my vehicle for road trips. I don’t see any reason a tourniquet couldn’t be on your carry on!
You should change the sunglassess with a pair of balistics one they are relatvely cheap and they will provide you with some form of protection for your eyes
welcome to the channel, I've talked about this before a few times. I am a therapist who works with First Responders, but not a first responder myself. It was a nickname that was dubbed on me many many moons ago. It stuck. Periodically I tell the whole story. Hope to see you around. Come hang in our of our livestreams on Friday nights, we have a great community.

Not a bad suggestion there!
you can make it more minimalist easy
you could. That's not my goal. I like to have a lot of options
5:54 watching ads,
thank you so much!
With the airport gestapo being the same all over the world? I'm not flying ever again. And neither should any of you.
I hear ya. I still travel a lot though.
@@PreppingWithSarge I travelled more than most already, I'm just glad things weren't like that back in the '80s.
what were you a "Sarge" of?
