I learned this Christmas that the dirt cheap space blankets are great for wrapping a cooked turkey if you have to take it to a relative's house. After an hour in the back of the car, the turkey came out still quite warm, and we could just throw the greasy blanket out at the end of the day. We used a cardboard box of the right size, put cloth towels in the bottom of it for insulation, then the space blanket which wrapped around the turkey, fold the edges to seal, and more towels on top. It worked significantly better than tinfoil.
One thing i think everyone should add to urban survival/go-bags is a 12v clip on cigarette lighter socket. It allows you to charge straight from a 12v battery when combined with phone charger for cig lighter sockets. I use that combo to charge my phone/powerbank from my atv or snowmobile in the wilderness.
Great video.Army vet. Really Respect your knowledge, And believe it or not.Your videos Really help me with my Metal health.Thanks. Keep doing what you do. I got your Back always.
I would add a hot glue stick, easily melted with the butane torch. also the butane torch can melt the zip ties and use as welding plaatic for rpairs, and strengthed with wire in a zigzag shape. Hand sanitizer works great as instant antiperspirant , and also a a gel fuel witha tealight cup......Also as you have lip balm, can add to tampon or compressed towel tablets for use as tinder.....
Not a bad selection. Can I add, I've been a large city subway commuter for over 40 years. if you have a choice, black bags are always the way to go. Less dirt and dust shows up. A backpack or messenger style is best for blending in. 2 subway fair cards with $5-10 on each. $30 in singles. Eye protection, glasses. a N95 Mask and a buff. there will be smoke or debris if any emergency happens. a light/flashing light you can easily clip to your belt, bag, or hold. traffic can see you, light subway tunnel alley, dark street with free hands. A white and red glow stick. Alcohol spray for quick hands and tool cleaner. good video.
Great medical kit! Definitely tear open all tools and bandages related to emergency trauma. All shears, tourniquets, compression bandages, etc... prep them for one handed quick deploy. None of those should be sealed in the field❤️

@@ericlamarr444 I know that but in a shtf situation there is no blending in to remove a target from yourself. Everyone one can be a target regardless of what you have or how you look.
@ it’s like this when it happens you are already in it, it’s not like you have the opportunity to go home and change t dress for your environment. Everyone always looks at it from the point they will have the luxury of dressing for the occasion. Live through a hurricane or tornado or two and you will see what I’m talking about. When we were doing rescues after Katrina I saw with my own eyes that it didn’t matter what one had or looked like to get victimized.
With a little customization, you would be good to go with this kit, just about anywhere in the world. I retired early and live in a tropical environment. Knowing that we can not choose the timing of a disaster/emergency, I must consider possibly traveling at night. We have three young troops attending school at the same campus. The age range is from five (5) to a senior high student seventeen (17). Beautiful Daughter, the eldest, will assume the role of team leader if a parent (parents) can not get to them. We have regular family practice session, training with the same gear packed in the troops emergency kits. Starting a fire, collecting/treating water, treatment of small wounds and making a quick camp meal are challenges they are well prepared for. The "extra" things I would need to add to this kit would be items like a bug net and insect repellant. With a five year old in tow, there will likely be several rest stops over the six and half (6 1/2) Km distance between school and home. If that happened to occur after dark, our troops would need protection from mosquitoes that can carry dengue fever and malaria. Chalk that one up to "an ounce of prevention is worth FAR more than a pound of cure!" Backup communications beyond a cellphone, should towers are damaged or out of service is also important to us.
@@ThePreparedWanderer I thought of that after I had posted. Regarding the handcuff keys, if you cut the stitching on top of leather brand patch on pants on beltline, it makes a nice pocket for concealing small items like that.
I would really try to transition to having a light on your pistol. I know you have other lights on you and you are concealing it, but having it ready to go on your defensive device really makes a big difference. Its already dark half of the day and it's dark if you're inside anywhere. It's not cheap but that new Streamlight TLR-7 HLX is awesome I hear, and if you wanted to go cheaper there are lots of options out there. Just make sure whichever light has holster availability, I have a friend that carries the mounted light in his pocket because he can't get a holster for his light. He thinks he will have time to just put it on if he needs it, I can't begin to tell you how big of a mistake that is lol. Nice setup tho and thanks for showing!
Interesting kit I'm interested in minimal carry when going camping I try not 2 take 2 much my test will b my bushcraft course in may bought a naturehike camping cot small tin trying 2 pack it down 2 about 6 items or so camping cot tarp bushcraft nife ferro rod and steel any more suggestions 🤔
For urban situations I prefer finding a waxed canvas bag. The molle is bit too "tactical" looking. Don't want people to look at it and think that I have gear.
So easy to find videos like this; much harder is someone using them in a video to meet their needs as they mock-evac. One thing in my bag is Sharpies and all-weather Post-its. If your friends/family are also of the bug out mindset, you should have codes or at least just be able to write plain notes if you can't meet at point A (too many undesirables around, no vacancies at the motel, area is affected by disaster too, etc.) and need to move on to point B before they get to point A. Sure, use your cell phone, but have a back-up should you have no service/battery. "Meet at Nans" is just as cryptic to most people as a circle within a square.
Honestly, for a real urban go bag, try living in an urban area for a while, or visit for a few days and walk around everywhere. If you need to get out, you need options. Cash is king. Also, a train pass can really help and you can buy those in advance. Think twice about guns and knives because if you carry those in places like NYC routinely you will end up arrested and in serious shit (with guns). Pepper spray and bear spray especially are good options for crowds. A tactical flashlight with at least 1000 lumin is a good friend. Have a black trash bag to throw your bug out bag inside - it will allow you to walk out of areas looking like a homeless guy. A few trash bags are helpful for lots of reasons. Wear a black hoodie and keep the hood up. Don’t make eye contact. Look like someone who is crazy and talk to yourself a lot. A couple bottles of water and some powe bars will help. A pack of cigarettes and a lighter is king. You can offer them and make an immediate friend. Living in the city will focus the real reality you will face. There is a good chance you might need to walk out and it will be more challenging than you think when passing through sketchy areas. Look like the downtrodden locals who folks hopefully want nothing to do with you.
Not all cities are the same. Every area needs to be taken into account when setting up your gear. I’ve lived and worked in most of the major Midwest cities and visited NYC, Denver, San Fran and LA. For sure different mindset in those areas. But in our state concealed carry is an option. Also dressing and looking like a bum in dark clothes in not always an option for daily commuters. Lots of options in these scenarios. Got to be adaptable!
Also in the UK wearing a hoodie, and especially wearing it up will get you noticed more, andpeople would be more suspecicious, same with smoking cigarettes...so deepnds a lot on country and city.....the petl elight i great, but i a gree a powerfull flashlight, ive got a 4000lumn beltlight i edc, hasa great strobe. thats about the defnese item we can have in the UK...headlight with red light in great as it can help illuminate you from behind to keep you safe from traffic.
Jesus Died for your sins, was buried, and rose again the third day. Through Christ your sins are washed clean and you’re covered by the Blood of Jesus, fellowship and peace with God is restored and you’re no longer under God’s Wrath, clothed in the righteousness of Christ, and you’ll have eternal life. Jesus is coming back for His Church SOONER than any of us Think. If you die in your sins without being saved you will spend eternity in Hell forever separated from God. Christ is LORD of lords, KING 👑 of kings, and GOD of gods. God Bless🙏👊

I'd also recommend a pry bar and bolt cutters. Also, as an FYI, the wire cutters on multi-tool in my experience easily cut chain-link fencing.
I thought about showing my mini pry bar. It’s a good recommendation but law enforcement can get you for burglary tools if not careful. FYI
