Thank you for the great explanation! I have a problem because I removed the diffuser plate to clean it but when I came to put it back in place the top lever will not close. There seems to be two rubber plugs at the rear that are stopping it from coming down. Can you help?

Great video, thanks for sharing it. I have a question, maybe you know, in the first usage, during the cleaning, accidentally the water was totally consumed before the end of the cleaning (hot) cycle, as soon as I heard the different noise from the pump (empty) I turned it off. Could it damage the heate, like melting wires? Do you know how this heater is internally, if the wires or heating element has direct contact with water? Thank you.

hi Adrian, excellent tuto, thanks! my concern on this machine is the power switch which is almost dead and requires many times to be pressed to turn ON or OFF! I could see in your tuto that you didn't removed the top lever on which the power switch is located. Should I understand it can't be dismounted ? in other word is there a way to replace this switch or should I buy a new machine? Many thanks, Eric
Best video so far I have found. My machine has inaccurate amount of water on each level. I have to set always one notch more to get more proper amount. Especially on higher levels it is even more inaccurate. Did you look at that part of machine?
The flow meter is by the water intake. Maybe it's faulty.
My KP 120 has a fault in the switch lever.When you put it sideways to start,it goes back to central position and stops working.Can you help? Tks.

Hello. Thanks for the video, could you tell me, I have such a coffee machine, almost new, used a couple of times. During operation, it gets very hot on the right side and turns off when hot water is supplied, it also makes more noise than when cold water is supplied. Could you suggest what it could be(
Hi Adrian,in my previous comment i forgot to tell you that my machine is a Dolce gusto minim i KP 120.The problem with the water tank is that it seems that it is not fitting easily as it was.Thanks for your help.
The Mini Me I have doesn't have the pressure it used to. A Napoli capsule at level 3 takes around 10 seconds to break the seal and a total of around 40 seconds!
Is it possible to downsize the wattage with a diode from 1400watts to 750 watts?
So i can use it in the truck on a normal converter?

I have a dulcet gusto which coffee leakage burned some of the components in the main board and now the machine doesn't turn on at all
I think the power source of the board is damaged
My mini me works fine after descaling in the morning, but later in the afternoon after making 1 cup of coffee it won't do another. Red light keep flashing no orange light, try reset but maybe this model can't do the 5 sec hold down. Tried various ways...unplug etc.... still flashing red light continuously until it switch off by itself. However can make cold coffee, wondering if the thermostat has broken down? Any advice? Thanks
I just the exact same unit for fixing it(as a favor) and the water regulator is not working aka your have to hold the trigger if you want hot water. It was also clogged up, but I already fixed that.
Is it easy to disassemble that part, the water regulator switch or it has a some sort of a trick?

Do you know whats the porpuse of the metal plate behind the diffuser? Mine all of the suddenly just came out with the capsule tray, with one wing broken and all rusty (the broken wing is still fixed to the machine, on the opposite side of the magnet of the capsule tray)... The machine is still working, only one adaptor thats not fitting anymore, but the originals still doing fine.

This coffee maker was given to me by a friend because supposedly something cracked in there like the swing out hot cold water selector that if I fix it I will fix it if not I have to throw it away.
Description of the problem:
The original condition was after switching on, the light on the switch even blinked green but otherwise the coffee maker did nothing.
After disassembling it I immediately found the fault that the lever was popped out of that green probably resistive trimmer- nothing was broken off!!!
Since the coffee maker was considerably dirty on the inside I pulled out the belly button, heater, base plate, and water flow counter and cleaned everything.
I did not disassemble the top head from the mechanism where the capsule is inserted, I just cleaned it.
Then I took everything off and turned it on, initially only the red LED was on but it did nothing!!!
Now the condition is that it is dead!!! /nothing burned 😊 /
I'm pretty sure I 100% connected everything well when I plugged it in because I marked everything
And that's why I want to ask if there isn't some special starting sequence /calibration/ and then the coffee machine is ready to use ?
Hi adrian . Tnks for the video. I have same model but the machine does not dispense when i switch the lever. It dispenses whrn i keep pressing the lever and when i release it it stops. What do i do?
Not sure if you still read these comments, is possible to by pass the Thermal fuse on the water pump, it doesn't look clean(burnt/brownish) haven't been using this machine for 2 years and a week ago using it but water doesn't pump, tried all discale etc, clean the pipe, clean the water sensor...last resort is water pump thermal fuse...cant find where I can buy the spare part or if is even worth to repair it....
is in the coffeemaker a fuse?
Good video, now i got a other problem,
When I followed ur steps to open it, i have cleaned the water the machine from bottom till under the lever switch.
Ill put it back in and wanna try but nothing works..
Now i opening it again and see the hot cold lever behind a green square is a tiny lever on it.. when i pull this to the left or right, it make my coffee.
How can i fix this that the hot cold lever touches de green square lever together, and set my coffee on time and shuts automatically off?

My water pump apparently needs to be changed as per Dolce Gusto's technical team. Every time I switch it for hot water for coffee, the machine turns off. Is it worth changing it or buying a new one since they're almost the same price?

I have a problem in my Mini Me, I set it to level 6 which means (30 seconds) but it only works for 10 seconds, for the other levels as well, it seems to be programed only on 10 seconds!!! Is there a solution please?

Hi Adrian.I wonder if you could help? I have a Dolce Gusto minimi coffee machine.I took the back cover off to clean the switch mechanism as the switch was plying up.I fixed the problem,but when I put the back cover back,I noticed that the water tank needed some force to be back in place and also very hard to remove.I have tried to fit the water tank in the back cover when it was off the machine but I have the same problem.Can you behind enough to let me know why the water tank is not easily removed and placing back.Thanks in advance.

Great video, thank you so much. We have two of these "Mine me". both broken on the moment. Let me explain. One of them we used it a short time and put it back in the box and leave it for a few years in storage. The second one we used these years and this morning it refuse to get on. So I opened the box with the other one to use this one for the time being. Although it was working fine before we put it in the box, now he refuse to give water. We hear the pumpsound, but no water. I cleaned and removed the part with the pin. but still no water. I move the inputnozzle under the reservoir but stil not working. Now we have nothing :-(.
I will buy a torx T10 with a hole to open it. Maybe you have some ideas what can be the problem of these two?

Add vinegar and water in the water tank. And start the machine for 20 seconds and then stop it. Do this several times.

After I bought the special screwdriver I opened the machine. Everything looks clean. I disconnected one hose after the pump, and I didn't see any water coming out. My first impression is that the pump was broken. I replaced the pump and the machine is working. Thanks for this video to open the machine and remove the pump.
Not have to termal fuses on this model, my machine is stop turning on power button not light and not work some times turn on and light on red

My mini me doesn't poke a hole anymore in the capsules. It seems like the injector is way too high up, so I am not even able to see the hole where you could insert the pin the remove te diffuser.
Do you have any tips to fix that?

Hello Daniel. Please remove the diffuser plate and see if the needle is still there maybe you can push it back from the other side. If note just buy a new diffuser plate

The isse is actually with the lever (the one that you use to change the amount of water going through). I think a part came loose as I can also hear something moving if I shake the machine.
After I removed the diffuser plate (which seems fine btw), if I move the lever mentioned above, it still doesn't move the part downwards as its supposed to.
My friend had this one.. The problem after the unit ready (green led light). I switch lever to the right (hot) easyly the lever reset to the center... How to fix this..
And now day after the lever succesfully to the right side.. Water flow out...The green power dimming to off.. And then the unit stop working.. If press the power again repeat to blink red then green again.. Switch lever to right.. The power dim again then the unit off.. How to fix this
If the led power is getting dimmer this means that the big box looking capacitor on the main board is faulty. Change it and will work again.
@@benassy69 I see. Which capasitor i need to replace?yesterday i replace the 2caps in the middle board and 100uF/35v (for lever locking) and the result is still diming...
Hi Adrian, I am struggling to remove the pump from a ltd ed Mini Cooper model MD9771.12 Mini 0715; can you help as the clips are unlike any others you have featured and I don’t want to break it!

Hi, I've bent the pin that keeps the injector plate in place. Have you any advice on how to straighten this out? I've tried and I can get it to the point that it clips in but now it is so loose that when you make a few coffees the injector just falls out (sometimes into the coffee. :( ).
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Adrian, I have an issue with my MiniMe where it allows hot water to be dispensed when the lever is pushed to the hot side, but it pops back to the original position in about 1 second or so, halting the water flow, even when the water level is set to the highest. The cold side does not have this issue, and will continue to dispense the required amount of water. Would you be able to advise on what I can look at?

I checked the fuse and there is no problem
This are the troubleshooting steps:
1. Check the thermal fuses on the heater element.
2. Check continuity of the power cable
3. Check all connectors are well fitter in their place
4. Last resort check if the square box looking capacitor on the mainboard is ok.
I checked it and check the firester in the bord and it good Electricity reaches the mains, but it does not work
Check if the power button also works.

I have a water leak, changed the diffuser plate but still leaks behandeling the difuserplate. When I use it without the plate I see the water running true the nozzle but also at the back, the must be a leak in the head of the machine. Can this be fixed? The video doesn't go this far... greetz
Maybe the hose that enters the head is punctured.
Hello my friend my machine has a problem with the water. It seems that is working but the water does not flow. What may be is the problem?
Clean the diffuser plate. See my video on the topic. It's a really easy fix.
Please, could you eventually say me how what is eventually happening, when there is no light at al. So probably a current problem, or is there somewhere another security inside.

There are 2 fuses on the power cable. They are fixed with one screw on the aluminium heater. Check them first.

Smack the unit over the head and wiggle the capsule tray.
On mine the power button does not work - no light comes on. The fuse and mains lead is fine. Any ideas ?
The power button might be faulty or the big boxy cap on the main board.
Hi Adrian, I am in the same situation. How can I check if it's the power button fault? Other question, to turn on the machine isn't necessary the tank inserted right?

Nice video Adrian ! I have the same caffe machine and when I press the power button it doesn't go green all the time, the red color is flashing. Sometimes is turning green after approx 3 min and is working , sometimes the red light still flashing and it's not working at all. I tried already to clean it couple of times with water and vinegar and still the same problem. What do you think the problem may be ? Thank you !
Hi. On the main board there îs a box looking capacitor of 480 pe 640 uF. Try changing that one. It is really cheap.

There are 3 black capacitors on the mainboard : 470uF 16V ; 470uF 16V ; 100uF 35V and a blue flat one which is hard to read because is the radiator in the way. Maybe I will change all 3 black capacitors and I will come back with an answer. What do you think?
I change all 3 capacitors on the mainboard and still the same problem........it's blinking red .....

@@hasanabadi952 Yes i fix it :). The problem was the yellow condensator 0.56uF, 277 V. On my board there where 2 the same and i change them and now It's working like new :)

I have this machine and I have problem with hot water not going out. Cold water is working fine.
When I turn on the machine, after few seconds the light is green and I can start hot water.
I can hear the pump working and machine is hot, but no water comes out of it. Maybe some dripping.
After few seconds it stops and light goes from green to blinking red-green-red-green all the time.
I can use the cold water and after cold water I can restart the hot water, but again, no result.
I ran desalinate program, cleaned up needle in diffusor and I've tried to remove air bubbles.
I even hold the power button for 30 seconds. No result. I can use only cold water and make iced coffee.
Do you know what could be a problem/solution?
Hello. Red and green flashes means there is no water in the tank. But I assume this is not the case, instead your machine is detecting that. The cold water goest from the tank to the pump and than into your cup. Since thru this route the water is coming out that means you don't have a problem with this route. The hot water goest from the water tank thru the pump and then thru the heater and then in your cup. You have a problem there. Either your heater hot clogged with limescale and needs to be replaced ,most likely, or the hose from the heater to the diffuser is clogged .
Does the machine works when you put the tilt to hot water? Is the light green while it runs on hot or just blinks red? Is the flow of the water normal when you run it on cold? Does the problem occured out of nowhere or you had troubles with the flow before it happened? I think i can help :)

maybe you have an air pocket. Fill the tank all the way up and let the machine work on cold water for series of 20 seconds.
It's working now. But the problem is that the toggle switch is going back to the center and the button is blinking red and green
Red and green means no water in the water tank. Add a mix of 50% water and 50% vinegar into the water tank and hold the power buton for more than 5 seconds until it gets amber. This will discale your unit. You have limescale on the internals.
Same problem after I descale my machine. 😔
