100% a former pet, looks like someone came to monkey hill, saw a cute baby monkey 5/6 years ago and took him thinking it wouldn't be that hard to raise a cute little monkey. never thinking about the future of a maturing sexual male monkey. he became to hard to handle. poor guy, needs that chain removed asap or it will become his down fall. why did they leave it on him? dropping him off in that area means more then likely, thats the same area or close by that they got him from. i wonder whos boy went missing 5/6 years ago on monkey hill? even though i know its basically impossible to find out. but someone please try to get that chain off him.
No way would any human be able to just abscond with a baby..the adults wouldn't allow that..no this poor lad was bought as a baby..to dress up in bloody clothes and that godawful chain then he got big do they dumped him..he looks so damn scared.. I hope that chain comes off somehow he could strangle himself on a tree or if attacked which by looking at him he has a few scars and missing hair already..I just hope he can get in a small troop or with Dopey's Dopey's batchelors..because this poor lad will not last on his own..no knowledge of how to forage and keep safe..we humans have a lot to answer for..
Vince has grown huge! And poor guy with the chain…it’s both a blessing and a danger that it seems pretty loose. On the one hand he may eventually be able to slip out of it. On the other hand he might get caught on a branch or some obstacle, with dire consequences. At this point he’s probably so used to wearing it he barely notices, but it really does look much larger than his head so I hope he soon realises he can take it off himself! He likely feels nervous and alone but he’s better off without whatever human eejit put bling on him. Fingers crossed he finds an accepting troop. Edit to add: he looks young enough for a bachelor troop. Perhaps he’ll find a home with some of our familiar boys?
I was thinking the same, what a travesty it would be if that chain got caught on something.😳😱 Whoever put it on him clearly wasn’t thinking about consequences.
Liam is a good looking dude. He was most likely a pet. What a shame they dumped him off. He is a bit thin now but when he becomes more bulky that chain will be more of a problem. Now it could get hooked on a branch later it could choke him. I hope he becomes friends with some of the other monkeys and not be so scared of them. Looks like he was already in a scrape by looking at his face and leg. Good luck buddy hang in there and hope to see you soon
That is very dangerous for him to where that when he has been dumped. He will likely get it caught on something and choke to death or one of the crazy monkeys will choke him with it.

This has really upset me seeing this poor lad struggle..he clearly has been dumped..not just the bloody awful chain but his coat..his hands and feet are clean pink skin..he has already been attacked from the scars on his face and legs..he looks so bloody frightened looking all over the place..doesn't even know to go and hide with the corn you gave him..thank you for that JW..i think the feeders need to be aware to help this boy or he's going to starve..didn't even know to hold on to his corn..damn us humans..the bastards who bought this fella as a baby and dressed him up on clothes and the chain..then dumping him when he got too big..or they got another baby..so damn cruel..this boy has no idea how to survive living outside let alone on his own..i hope that damn chain comes off because it could get caught in a tree branch or be used by whichever monkey is going for him..i hope he can get into a troop or with our Dopey's batchelors but the main problem is he doesn't know how to interact with his own kind so has no way of showing that he is friendly or understanding when others aren't..please god watch over this poor boy and keep him safe and well and that the feeders keep him going whilst he trys to find a troop to belong to..or I truly fear for his future..so upset by his situation. .crying like a right twit but im just hurting for him. Thank god that stupid chain isn’t tight on Liam neck. He seems to have maybe got into a dust up with someone, noticed on his face some cuts. I pulling for this guy hope he makes it. He was foraging so he’s starting to figure it out. Thank JW for the video .I really appreciate all your hard work and time. This is a shame what someone did to him . Monkey s are smart hopefully he can adopt to troop life follow the hierarchy and laws , he needs to find a mentor, show him the way.
Poor Liam 😞 my heart goes out for him😢 his former owner should at least provide some supplementary foods for him as he learns to be a monkey again. The way he eats shows he has some human manners..he does not eat voraciously like the others..😢😞 Thanks JW for giving him a 🌽. He needs help😢😞

I hope someone can get the chain off of his neck. He could get it caught and end up hurting him or worse. Yes, people do not think before they act. They seem to forget that they will not be babies forever. Save yourself some money or the life of the mother who probably fought to keep her baby from being taken. This made me sad , disgusted with mankind. How tragic, poor Liam. How long has he been around monkey hill ? Reminded me of a old German shepherd who was chained up, now suffering from arthritis in his hips. Muscles underdeveloped, malnourished, high anxiety. I was surprised he didn't take the corn elsewhere to enjoy.
It's likely that he knew to drop the food or he would've been attacked for eating out of turn even though he's not a part of their troop. It could also be that Liam has learned to drop the food to avoid being chased. It looks like he has learned some hard lessons since being released. It must've been terrifying for him. He definitely is a survivor and I hope he will find a troop that will accept him. Perhaps if he is caught in the cage for neutering they will be able to remove the chain.

The chain is big enough to go over the head, but if he jumps in the trees my fear is it could get stuck on a branch, and either joke to death or break his neck. Damn people that keep them as a pet, then dump them when they get to big.
He will end up dead if that chain get stuck on a branch or something, the poor thing sticks out like a sore thumb with that on, is there no one who could catch him they have no trouble getting them to sterilize. I never seen a monkey that skinny around there , it need help, before he's dead.

@@erikaandrews7813 foraging is a survival instinct....laziness is not, laziness is a learned behavior .....humans have made these troops lazy by bringing them food which renders them lazy.....these primates have been on this earth longer than humans and their survival instincts would take generations of captivity to "breed out" of them. Liam is doing what generations have done before him... I do agree about how that person knows he has been in captivity all his life..
Good question. By the size of his balls, he should have the expanded mouth of an adult with canines. He is still pretty young tho; they may 🙏🏼 drop within the year.
I could be wrong, but I think the large male canine teeth grow in with age. It doesn’t, however look like there is much structural support behind his lips where the canines would be, which could be due to someone removing them. It is impossible to determine anything without actually being able to see into his mouth.

He reminded me off an old German shepherd that was chained up his whole life. Now suffering from arthritis in his hips. Leg muscles were underdeveloped too
I got off the bus and she'd some tears for Liam, I pray that he is able to join a troop, maybe even Dane's Troop. I think the ONLY good thing about that chain being around his neck is that feeders can spot him easily and help put some weight on him. He walks like he was in a small cage his whole life 😭 Oh poor sweet boy.
Liam's a rock star, he's got the chain, he's got the swagger, all he needs are some shades to complete the look. 🤣🤣 That looks like a gold chain, so he's probably pinched it from someone or somewhere.
I almost certain this monkey was kept as pet. He was left there by humans. Most pet monkeys have chains or clothes on them when they are abandoned. 2. He is alone, away from monkeys, pet monkeys are not accepted in troops, they mostly harm them. Because he is adult he has a more opportunity to escaped the deadly chaser. 3. If you look his behaviour he looks lost , very unsure about his surroundings. A wildlife monkey looks confident, even put some fight with others trying to get his food. This monkey run away very fast.

I seriously doubt that Shane around his neck was used to keep him bound. They put it on him so he can look cool and when they got rid of him they never took it off. I actually think he likes the chain on him because he would be able to take it off it's a real loose. Just how the monkeys that people you take as pets they take off their clothes whatever they put on them I think he's fond of the chain

How did the chain get on the monkey? Is it possible that it was swiped from a tourist. I know in some areas monkeys are known to steal things from people and will imitate there use. Or could have something put it on him thinking it would be funny for a picture and the monkey got away with it still on? It would be funny to find out if it was actually made of gold. Hopefully the monkey can figure out how to take it off or isn’t injured in some way due to having it on. The monkey doesn’t seem bothered in anyway by it and it looks almost large enough to slip it off over it’s head.
I hope he will get accepted from a few young ladies and he can make some friends! Probably he was raised as a pet. I hope he still can become a happy half-wild monkey!
A chain? Looks like a gold necklace to me. You know, the kind worn by men? People in China are quite rich, so I wouldn't be surprised his owner dumped him with a golden necklace as a prank, or these monkeys are smart enough to wear one.

Not having fangs is not good when facing other monkeys. In the event of a fight, he will lose and surely be injured, more so than his opponent.

How did the chain get on the monkey? Is it possible that it was swiped from a tourist. I know in some areas monkeys are known to steal things from people and will imitate there use. Or could have something put it on him thinking it would be funny for a picture and the monkey got away with it still on? It would be funny to find out if it was actually made of gold. Hopefully the monkey can figure out how to take it off or isn’t injured in some way due to having it on. The monkey doesn’t seem bothered in anyway by it and it looks almost large enough to slip it off over it’s head.
Another lost monkey. Stolen as a baby. Abandoned when it grew older. Now it doesn't know how to be a monkey. No troop. Just lost.
