- With the market for compact luxury SUV's quickly becoming one of the most competitive segment, the 2023 #LincolnCorsair gets some big upgrades to keep it fresh since this model came out in 2020. The #CorsairGT is the flagship in the #Corsair family and is the only model that comes as a #PHEV, which means nearly 30 miles of EV only range and up to 266 HP combined. #Lincoln says the new Corsair is the best-selling model in the lineup and the changes this year should help it retain that position.

Can't wait to hear your opinion on this. Lincoln in recent years have made their way to my short list when considering a luxury vehicle. Right up there with Genesis. Love their designs and powertrain options.
I too would put Lincoln up there with genesis. Their interiors are as nice as genesis
Lincoln was my top choice until I test drove it and a BMW. Night and day difference. BMW is a better driver's car. Also, BMW software is more mature and polished than most systems, in my opinion. I haven't test driven a Genesis SUV to be honest.

@redline Fact Check: The RDX no longer shares a platform with the CRV. That was changed with the 3 generation introduction in 2019

Now my first new Lincoln Corsair I can buy.
I owned a 2018 Lincoln mkc. Once it got to 41000 miles, the a/c and heated seats went out, the cameras glitched out, the panoramic sunroof cover had issues opening, it was a mess! Will never again buy a Lincoln product. I’ve had nothing but bad luck with Ford products. I do miss how quite and smooth the ride was though.
my brother had issues with the pano sunroof cover stopped working also on his 2015 F150 Tuscany!
Very nice! Lincoln does a reasonably good job with quality, luxury, and performance, except for the price there are better options out there.
But for the price you can do a bit worse.
@@naveenthemachineno you can’t lol, for 4K more you get a far more powerful XC60 recharge, for about 2k less you get the Lexus NX 450h with better efficiency and still more power. Both of which are known to be way more reliable and better built than Lincoln. Even the laughably cheap Ford key for a 65k product says it all.

It’s apples/oranges comparing it to comparably loaded new xc60 T8 Recharge, way more than $4K over in 26:19 math. Corsair GT has significantly more features than the basic xc60 T8 Core/Pure.
The Corsair is attractive inside and out, but Lincoln pricing is absolutely laughable.... $67k, seriously 😂

*Escape platform, and to be fair they have changed A LOT... like you would never know. It's not a "really nice Escape" it is a Corsair. those badge switch days are far gone. Even the PHEV setup is totally different than the Escape PHEV. @@mj8495
I have a 2022 & overall if you plug it in you can get the best mpg-e, it works well for us we can go to most of the places & get back home on electricity only. O ps spare tire so appreciate. Haven’t had a flat, but I had one traveling for work in the middle of New Mexico. Glad they had one!

I want to see a Lincoln version of the Mach-E; same running gear but give it a more luxurious interior and it would be a great choice for a BEV offering.

We have a 2018 mkc has been a good car thinking about trading for a new Nautilus I like the style of the new Lincoln’s especially with the blackout package
When other new phev models are giving 35-60 miles of all electric range, this getting 28 miles is very sad. It wouldn't even make it to the list of vehicles I'd consider because of that.

Two different level. This platform is not too refine. XC60 is a proper luxury vehicle.

Until they can charge the battery from 20% to 100% in 30 second I'll stick to hybrid or PHEV. It just makes more sense to me for now.
For states requiring front license plates, where is best place to mount the plate when dealing with such a massive grill?

This is priced to compete with the rx450h+ not the nx and the lexus is just as good or better than this Lincoln. I'd buy the rx450h+.

The RDX doesn’t share anything with the crv. You yourself said this in your first drive RDX in 2019 and the recently refreshed RDX
That was the case with the prior generation CR-V, but when the new one came out this year, it shares more with the current RDX.

Is everyone in the comments just fanboys of Volvo? The interior alone is so much better then the XC60. Compared to a BMW or Mercedes I'd choose those because the driving performance is hard to beat. But compared to the genesis gv70, Lexus nx, or Acura RDX the Corsair is a really solid choice. Also the people who complain about reliability while looking at luxury cars are clowns. If you can afford these cars you can afford whatever maintenance comes with them. Land rover/range rover are famous for making unreliable cars yet they sell them like crazy.

Very few buyers at $53k for a dressed up Ford Escape and 266 hp is not GT level in my opinion , no massaging seats, no 360 camera?

It’s a disgrace adding a CVT transmission into a luxury vehicle. Hearing rattling noise in the interior on a brand new vehicle is definitely something you should be worried about. For $67,000 I would purchase a Lexus or Genesis over a Ford/Lincoln.

I don't blame the car manufacturers, but the consumers that they all seem to demand the same old boring stiles, cooky cutter style cars with very little personality. No one likes to be "different" or "abnormal". We all seem to walk away from individualism in general, but car design is another victim of the consumer unoriginality

An OK SUV. I think the styling is a little dated and resale value (considering the ridiculous price) will be terrible in 3...4 years. RDX, NX, Genesis GV70 - all day, any day when compared to the Corsair. Might even choose a fully loaded Chevy Blazer before the Corsair.
I’d rather go with the Corsair over the already dated nx.
But I’d put the Lincoln on par w the RDX and just a hint behind the gv70

The powertrain in the Corsair isn’t from the RAV4. The story is interesting
Ford Toyota we’re developing their hybrid technology and some of the tech happened to clash with each other resulting in lawsuits. Eventually they settled and decided to cross license some of the patents for their hybrid tech.
But that doesn’t mean the Corsair’s just a rav4
