This reminds of something I heard regarding how we approach social media. “Don’t compare your behind the scenes to their highlight reel.”

...and, in this case it would seem his “insides” match his “outsides”. What a lovely human.

I just said to my wife recently after watching Parks and Rec, "I'm really glad he got that role, it really helped me appreciate his acting all over again". After watching this I realized that I too, fell into the trap of thinking about him as he "used to be", rather than who he is now. In the grand scheme of things he's doing his thing, and I'm doing mine, and never the two shall meet. But little moments like this, where we get a chance to see the man behind the image is pretty cool. Cheers Sam.

That's some pretty profound stuff from Rob Lowe here. He started out shallow but he kept growing & learning after others would have been satisfied and called it a day.

No matter your age, your sex, when someone lowers you to a visual toy it always feels degrading. Every person is much more than that.

He just put into words something I've struggled to understand my self! Why does it feel gross when a stranger calls me beautiful? I understand the cat-callers talking about my body feeling gross but I couldn't figure out why just a random stranger telling me I'm beautiful feels gross too.
