    UPDATE: I found out after I filmed the tractor prices that those prices are for the Tractor ONLY. The front endloader is not included in the price. 👍

    The partnership with Lowe’s is concerning because I’ve noticed firsthand when companies go to big box stores the quality always suffers eventually.

    • @Mallard5plus1Farmhouse

      Me personally I don't see that happening because it's just the MT122 model. Their main focus with this is brand awareness, with the hopes of more traffic to dealers

      The trouble I see is they will sell you anything but try getting parts, my guess is no they sell but don't service!!!

      You're right Lowes will sell them but are not going to service them. You will have to go to a LS dealer for that

      I don't know about L S or even if there are any dealers need me but in the past I have had trouble getting parts for some of my machines because I didn't buy it at that dealer I told them I moved here from a another state, they don't care only service and get parts for what they sold.

    • @Mallard5plus1Farmhouse

      That's not right. I know both of my dealers will service any LS tractors even if they didn't sell it. Sounds like a bad dealer. I've met a lot of the LS dealers across the country and I will honestly say that they are all good people

    I saw (2) LS tractors at my local Lowes (central NC) this weekend after my brother mentioned them when he went to rent a min skid there. I also work for a "green" dealer but not directly in the compact market. This is an interesting and natural marketing evolution in the industry we're seeing with Summit Tractos, JD, Ariens, Toro, etc. It's about brand awareness and buying convenience = sales. Box stores are open from what, 7am to 10pm, 7 days a week, right? Mr. Hesitant Buyer may not want to "pester" a salesman at the dealership for the 5th time he wants to look at a tractor, but there's no pressure at Lowes. The wildcard here is will he visit the local dealer for implements, service, or a different tractor? You can buy attachments, oil, and filters 100% online now or from TSC. I'm sure there is a follow up process to hand the customer from Lowes to the local dealer, so the dealer attitude and follow up will be CRUCIAL to the success of this program for both LS and the dealers. Also, sub compacts are some of the most often traded units because the buyer realized after the sale he needed/wanted a bigger tractor. So that could help the dealers, too. Not advocating for or against, just some observations of a trend that's likely not slowing down soon.

    A reputable dealer is one of the most important things to consider when purchasing a tractor. Go ahead and buy a grill or hot water heater at Lowe’s but good luck buying a tractor there.

    • @Mallard5plus1Farmhouse

      I think if people buy a LS tractor from Lowes they are going to get to know a dealer eventually. At least they should

    • @xdude2x

      Then why not purchase from an LS dealer to begin with?

    • @Mallard5plus1Farmhouse

      @xdude2x a lot of foot traffic going through Lowe's. You know how it is if you can put something directly in front of people they are far more likely to notice it.

    • @xdude2x

      I get the reasoning but at the prices these things go for I wouldn’t recommend it being an impulse buy. “Oh look honey, a tractor” is probably not a well thought out purchase but to each their own

    I'm concerned for the LS brand . I fully understand LS wanting to get their name
    out there, however many that shop big box stores expect just to exchange a unit should anything happen to it. And this could potentially open a whole new can of worms for LS. And trust me, its a can better left unopened. I can see the dealers being upset due to them not getting the sale. And I can also see to where the dealers would be upset about having to service the equipment that was bought elsewhere as well. So while I initially agree with LS on the get the name out there part, I disagree with doing it through a big box store, knowing the store wont carry much of anything for the machine.

    • @Mallard5plus1Farmhouse

      Yes I see what you're saying. These MT122s will only come with a front endloader at Lowe's. But most people with a tractor that size will want a belly mower, and that means they will have to go to the dealer to get it. So what I'm hoping is that the tractors sitting at Lowe's spark curiosity with the buyers, and they do their research at home. Which I hope will eventually have the end up going to the dealers to get all the features on the right tractor for them.

    The Lowe's relationship doesn't seem harmful. At least there is a real dealer attached and assigned to the Lowe's store, so there is less liklihood of a Lowe's customer being considered less-than, and put to the bottom of the list for service and parts. If LS allowed that to happen, it'd be their death knell.
    Contrast this with Summit, which has no dealer network...none. I haven't seen the Summits return to my local Home Depot this year. I believe the two tractors they were selling just sat there. This farming ag community doesn't want a new brand without dealer support.

    • @Mallard5plus1Farmhouse

    I think it’s a good thing to sell their entry level tractors there just as the green tractor sells their lawn mowers there. I wouldn’t go any larger though. I gotta say I’m pretty happy with my LS. Only problem I can’t find enough to do with it lol.

    • @Mallard5plus1Farmhouse

      @@Mallard5plus1Farmhouse looks like cobb tractors in Eustis is the local dealer. Definitely within an hour of that lowes. Im not sure how they will be any more affordable by adding another middle man. The tractor isn't on lowes website so it isn't part of their company product I would assume. Im not understanding the lowes affiliation. There has to be $$ in it for lowes somehow. I suppose we will see how long it sits next to the golf carts that are 11k.
