    Gotta love the crowd that drive 15 mph with the bow sticking straight up, thinking they were "nice" to you by slowing down. Mighty fine fishing.

      That's right, they back down at the last second and throw a tidal wave at you thinking they are helping.

    17:20 Look at all of the different kinds of fish that we can catch, whether Freshwater, Brackish Water, or Salt Water. It's amazing, as to how God created all of these different species of fish to catch, and even provided the implements to catch them with. The Sea Urchins that you're using to catch these fish with, is but a small example, as to what the fish love to eat, and as to how God provides them!
    You've got some great-looking Sheepshead there, Sir. Hope you had fun catching them, and eating them. I'm not from your area, but I have visited down around the Nags Head, North Carolina area before, and have done a little Salt-water fishing. I've actually had the honor of catching one of those Sheepshead, and man, the fight was on! They're a good, strong type of fish to catch!
    Tight lines to ya, my friend. Have a great one, and keep on haulin' 'em in! You're doing great!!!

    I'm also wondering where you bought those urchins, & how much,,, *5 gal bucket full!?) compared to the crabs?
    & Thanks loads, for the entertaining & informative videos!!

    What time of day and what tides do you find the most success?

    • @offkilterfishing
      @offkilterfishing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It really depends. On hot days morning and evening are best. Check the solunar and fish the best times listed on the chart for that day. Slack tide is usually the worst time to fish but I have caught some whoppers on dead low. I fish all day and let the fish tell me when the bite will happen...

    • @offkilterfishing
      @offkilterfishing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's not easy to hook these fish, try larger crabs or urchins. Small sheepshead do not take the whole crab, they pick at the side of the body and legs avoiding the hook. Larger fish suck the whole crab in and are easier to hook...

    • @offkilterfishing
      @offkilterfishing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I keep my left thumb on the line and I feel everything. Also they tug on the line HARD, it is not difficult to feel them chomping on the large baits I use. I let them chew until my rod tip drops and then give them the business. I use heavy tackle to get large sheep and drum out of the structure.

    • @offkilterfishing
      @offkilterfishing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It really depends on how aggressively they are feeding. I can go hours without a bite or catch 6 fish in a row. Sometimes they bite finicky and sometimes they swallow both hooks. Just have to be there soaking bait to find out.
