You guys are still the GOAT of sailing channels in terms of cinematography. I thought I would lose interest as you traverse northern latitudes, but I can’t look away! It’s that good.
Absolutely brilliant videography!! The accompanying soundtracks, stunning footages, transitions, narrations... all very professionally done from the beginning to end. Following your journey through your lens is such a great joy. Also loved the puffins.
Others have already said it, but I'm going to throw in my thoughts, too. This video is absolutely outstanding! If it's not your best to date, it's certainly in your top three. There's a charm, enthusiasm and humility to your films that I don't see on most other sailing channels and your videography and editing skills are pro-level. Keep living your dream and please keep sharing with us.
Your level of photography is just stunning, and your ability to mix it with music is incredible. You guys just keep getting better and better. The puffins were amazing too watch, they are mesmerizing to see, being there live must be very gratifying. Thanks for sharing and good sailing!⛵️ ♥️
Your guys channel is so neat. I like how you have a realistic boat. What I mean is it is neat to see peoples million dollar boats but it’s not realistic for a lot of people. I hear a ton of people say you can’t blue water sail with any less than 40 foot boat and you guys have done it all. Your boat is a trooper
Absolutely first rate pristine cinematography and editing! Fair Isle at it's best with magical puffins dancing in the sunlight. Best Utube Sailing channel by far.
Great to watch sailors who know what they are doing. And your filming and editing are excellent. So lovely to watch your adventures now that I can no longer sail 😊
Absolutely stunning video .. quite possibly the best you have ever made, showcasing all your remarkably professional cinematic and editing skills. The drone shots, imposing, music, even the weather forecast was all masterful. We could have easily been watching a BBC nature program. Other TH-camrs are like 5 year olds tinkering on a piano compared to this, a Mozart symphony !!!!! …. Probably an idea, if the next couple of years are going to be spent in the northern hemisphere, to invest in equipment that works in less light conditions.
Great video. My wife and I sailed the coast of Alaska for months at a time during the summer for 20+ years covering hundreds of miles. Puffins are her favorite bird also. The long days in Northern Latitudes during summer are great for making long passages. During summer solstice here it doesn't really get dark at night. Just two hours of dusk then two hours of dawn and the sun is rising again. Have a great trip. Thanks for the video!
@@giork2828 It is the longest day of the year but the days are very long for a couple of months before and after the summer solstice. We gain over 6 minutes a day in the spring. During winter we will have only 4-5 hours of daylight. Further North in Barrow is even more extreme
Your videography, composition, editing, sound scores and quality have risen to above professional production levels. You have blown past the hired editor channels by miles. Absolutely fantastic work made better by the genuine enthusiasm of first hand experience. Thank you!
Such an amazing and magical anchorage at Fair Isle. The Puffins did not disappoint and you nailed the photography and musical score!!! Absolute gold! 🥇🔟🔟🔟🔟🔟🥇
Your videos and narratives keep getting better and better. They are so interesting, informative and make for compulsory viewing for we sailors and sailing fans. Sincerest congratulations.
You two just keep getting better and better at the videos you are producing. The shots of the sea and coastline and for me, especially, the birds were fantastic! I do not know what camera changes you have made, but the level of clarity seems so much better than earlier videos. Thank You, Thank You, for showing this old man the land of my British and Scott Ancestors!
Those puffins are so cute! Loved this episode… beautiful videography and wonderful to see and hear you both so excited about the sailing and the wildlife. Looking forward to the Shetlands 😀
Wow hands down best vlog episode so far.The winds up the east coast must have blown out the cobwebs as you guys now cracked movie making with magical musical scores.Luving this as an ex RTW Clipper sailor ❤😊
Absolutely fantastic episode! So glad you decided to do this around Britain trip, and take us along with you. Beautifully filmed, recorded, mixed. What a magical place, have added it to my bucket list. Thank you for sharing it all with us 🙏🏻🙏🏻
This is an outstanding video..Your channel always delivered the best composed videos.. Knowing a bit about this, I give you kudos for all video detailing aspects..The capture and framing of the scenery is outstanding, the transitions combined with the background music are of exceptional high quality..Narration is very pleasing.. I am sure to generate such a high end quality video, a lot of raw footage needs to be made..but decisions of what and what not to use are not easy.. Congratulations to both..
Lovely to see you go to our name-sake island. I sailed around the UK for charity many years ago (before we had Fair Isle) but got beaten back from Cape Wrath by a force 10 (in June!) so never got to the Northern islands. It's a wild and lovely place. Well done on a beautiful film.
I saw Puffins at the opposite end of the British Isles on Sark many years ago, such fun birds to watch. Now I am privelaged to have seen penguins in my newish home of South Africa, also very cute. Keep the videos comng.
Yes agree with so many commets hrrel. You two are brilliant. Sailing Florence us more than a sailing channel. This episode was beautful documentry. David Attenborougb watch out.
Guys this is insanely good woohoo so great to see and you guys were mega lucky with the weather! Def on our go to list and you’re making us want to repeat a round the U.K.! You’re capturing it breathtakingly!
I adored this film.. I was in Fair Isle and Shetland last summer (23) on tall ship Trinovante. I totally get arriving at a remote island by sailing boat and also adored the puffins.. Love the drone footage, and well done getting the footage of being dive bombed by a Skua. Know that feeling!
Looking forward to seeing "The Machine" rigged for sail in the next episode. I found your channel when I was searching for a sailing tender for my cruising sailboat. Excellent video Amy and Matt. As others have said, it really feels like a BBC nature broadcast.
I had the same thought that Stuart Brown had. the quality of the production is at the highest level. 20 years ago, no, ten years ago, it would have taken a whole crew of BBC people and two helicopters to film and edit such a thing. well done.
Best episode that you have ever produced and that is saying a lot. You have some good stuff but this is great! Great videography, great soundtrack and great editing.
Must have been tough flying the drone and avoiding all the birds. Well done as always. Amy downright giddy as she continues her birds that start with a P obsession. Penguins, Puffins … 😂
Hi Matt and Amy, its been a while without watching your videos, as always great footages from your drone camera, I enjoyed them a lot, stunning views. I hope everything is okay for you at this time overthere in UK, my best wishes to you for the balance of your trip around your home country. rgs
A fab’, slick, professional video - great opening, good storyline, wonderful camera-work. Sometimes you blow me away but you always motivate me to, “I’m gonna go there” decisions. Cheers for that.
Wish someone would hook you guys up with National Geographic!! Your videos -- all of them are amazing!! Beautiful, educational, entertaining--- you do such a wonderful job of taking us along with your circumnavigation. Thank you soooo much.
Very beautiful scenery! Much like where I live, on the east coast of Canada. What a beautiful place to anchor! We also have lots of Puffins! Thanks for another great video! Fair winds and happy sailing ⛵️.
Puffins, the sea parrot, seemed welcoming, nonchalant, and eager to please your passion for their presence. I'm thrilled for you and so happy that you shared.
Spectacular and I haven't got past the intro yet. Love the puffins, I last saw them many years ago in Norway overtaking a ferry doing 20 something knots.,.
It's almost impossible to believe I'm not watching the BBC! Brilliant, just brilliant. Loved the puffins.
It’s absolutely stunning!
This work is soooo good!
I know. I was waiting for David Attenborough to start talking!😂
If it was the BBC it would be a lie!
If there were awards for musical soundtracks on TH-cam channels you would be hands down winners. Chapeau!
The funk soundtrack to the puffins was aces! Laughed so hard.
Others have already said it, but I'm going to throw in my thoughts, too.

I agree with others. This is such a beautifully made video which must have taken hours. Lovely to see a place one would never get to. Keep it up.
Fantastic production, you are both on your A game! Would love to see some interviews with the locals...
It made my day when I found out the young of a puffin was called a puffling, how cute.
To say how good this video was, I'm looking up now to nominate one for an "Emmy short documentary" entry. THAT's how good this episode was.
Fantastic music and cinematography ... the best of all the sailing channels. Following you for 4 years and you keep getting better.
Absolutely first rate pristine cinematography and editing! Fair Isle at it's best with magical puffins dancing in the sunlight. Best Utube Sailing channel by far.
You cannot imagine how envious this arthritic sailor is. Thank you so, so much for sharing such an incredible story and adventure.
Fair winds to you
Great to watch sailors who know what they are doing. And your filming and editing are excellent. So lovely to watch your adventures now that I can no longer sail 😊

The quality of video and editing have taken a massive jump. I also really enjoyed the audio you played on top of the puffin video. Fantastic episode.
Your videography, composition, editing, sound scores and quality have risen to above professional production levels. You have blown past the hired editor channels by miles. Absolutely fantastic work made better by the genuine enthusiasm of first hand experience. Thank you!
Best sailing show going. Well done Matt and Amy!
...what a great video!
Pictures, music ,storytelling ...boah.

P.S. I Love Puffins!
I saw the rabbit sticking its head out of the burrow in the middle of a group of Puffin. Wow, what a shot!
Those puffins are so cute! Loved this episode… beautiful videography and wonderful to see and hear you both so excited about the sailing and the wildlife. Looking forward to the Shetlands 😀
Puffins are my spirit animal. They are called the bumblebees of the sea. So special. Thanks for sharing.
Good choice of puffin music! Watching them land is hilarious.
Wow hands down best vlog episode so far.The winds up the east coast must have blown out the cobwebs as you guys now cracked movie making with magical musical scores.Luving this as an ex RTW Clipper sailor ❤😊
I’ve always loved penguins but might be jumping ship to puffins after that episode! 😎
Absolutely fantastic episode! So glad you decided to do this around Britain trip, and take us along with you. Beautifully filmed, recorded, mixed. What a magical place, have added it to my bucket list. Thank you for sharing it all with us 🙏🏻🙏🏻
