I loved this episode. Fernando is awesome, very Spanish. I lived in Spain for several years in my teens and his mannerisms and accent are bringing back a lot of memories.
Our daughter lives in Valencia. It’s such a great place, and the cycling infrastructure is OK. Beyond the city, there’s some great riding. The Dutch love to holiday there. Enough said.
Fernando gets his passion for bikes and tinkering across with great energy and a fun attitude! If/when I get to Valencia, I'll defo be calling into Good Bike.
That is a nice down to earth bike lover and shop. Valencia itself is a lovely midsize city I could see myself living in, beautiful old historic center, with decent transit and bike infrastructure.
Man those valenica bike lanes are so narrow compared to bike lanes in the Netherlands! Im glad theyre there at all but wow being 2 way and that narrow is crazy! Our 1 way lanes are that wide or wider
One of the great cycling cities in Spain. Especially in the old Turia river valley! There are also some great Vias Verdes trails leading out of the city and heading up into the hills north and west of the city. Enjoy the paella !!
Looks like a lot of fun and so many bike paths. Nice little bike shop to and heading over to my local Sussex UK bike shop on Monday to have a new BB fitted. :)
heh, I saw you pictured in a komoot activity that took place in Valencia - excellent city for biking: with much less money spent compared to Barcelona, the whole city is cyclable.
It’s how it’s pronounced here. No doubt if I didn’t pronounce it that way your doppleganger will tell me why did I pronounce it like a stupid American.
Congrats to Fernando for getting the message across in English. Native English speakers shouldn't underestimate the effort involved.
Totally agree withe that comment.
Tiny in size, MASSIVE in capability and attitude :)
Hey Im from Valencia! Hope you have a good time here
Glad to see them using BikeCAD over there at the Good Bike shop!

Awesome bike shop and owner! Fernando obviously loves what he does and I hope his shop continues for generations.

Valencia is fantastic. I only got to visit briefly but it was my favorite of the three big cities.

I'm such a fan! Love the Colanago frames in the background.
That looked like a fun shop visit. Russ, the hat looks good on you and it fits the vibe. Hope it sticks.
Wonderful interview with a really interesting bike guy.
Fernando was a treat.
And the hat though may have stolen the show.
This is an amazing video, the flavor of a good life.
Katu content!! The poor mans velo orange neutrino, or the kyoot that came too early. Great little bikes. Want to try touring more on one.
My kind of bike shop !

Interesting how a lot of people there don’t use helmets
I miss Valencia and I miss the accent.
Do you speak Spanish?
He does, and he is actively studying Spanish and Catalonian. Apparently Laura speaks Spanish more fluently.
Not sure out of all the cyclists passed in this video that rate of helmet use was non-zero.
@@chrislabish For the record, I'm happy to see the helmet police haven't hit Spain.
The law in Spain requires helmets outside of urban areas - except if climbing or if the weather is very hot. Enforcement of the law is relaxed.
Tks John 👍
(didn’t know about that rule outside of urban areas).
Pronouncing velencia with th sound is cringe
