I just got cheated on and it’s 3:15 am… I’m feeling very down. Thanks for this video it helped distract me. You have an amazing relationship! I hope I have one like yours one day.
@@modelingstar241 thank you so much, I just woke up feeling horrible and dreading waking up and your message has really helped me. I needed to see that. You’re a kind person, I hope you have a great day!
Lol I saw both videos and was like “argh what to do, what to do”. I’m 40 😬, just left teaching after 18 years, and am now making the move to the medical field. My goal is to be a surgical PA (or something similar). Anyway, it’s great having both perspectives (yours and dr Cellini’s)!
I love that you have your own channel now! I’m a sixth year medical student in Germany and interested in becoming a radiologist. 😄 I’d love to see a hair and make up routine and vlogs, but nevertheless I’ll watch every video you will publish 😍😝
Great info in this video! I also always wanted to be a Derm PA. However, I do want to be well rounded and work in different specialties too. Overall, I hope to find the specialty that suits me. Could you do a video on jobs you had before becoming a PA? Specifically jobs you had to fulfill patient/healthcare experience? Thanks!
I appreciate your video Andriana! I’m pre-PA right now and your video really resonates with what I would like to do as far as be in dermatology and then perhaps venture into surgery and back. Very cool hearing your experience as a PA :)
Loveeeed this! Very insightful and I agree that your first job is very important in terms of they’re willing to train you as a new grad but also give enough autonomy to allow you to learn and grow as a provider
Good job! I am recently retired from healthy care, miss it though! Just wanted to encourage you, all of your hard work is finally going to be realized!
Im glad you are doing a channel! I been following your husband for a while and really got me looking into PA school! I am currently an athletic trainer and working on pre requites to apply in a few years. (time laps as I am finishing my Doctorate.). I am surprised that more PAs are not on TH-cam and glad to see over the last year that there seems to be more and more.
Hey Andriana, I’m so happy you made your own channel because I have tons of questions, I am currently about to get my bachelors degree this summer and I’m starting my pre reqs for PA this fall too. Im excited but very nervous. Im scared I only have 3 schools to apply too here in Houston, Tx. I’m so excited you get to do your videos. It helps and motivates me a lot.
You have my dream job! I’m currently getting certified to become a Medical Assistant, and eventually want to go to PA school for Dermatology. Do you think it will benefit me trying to get in a dermatology office as a MA, to gain the experience, get exposure, etc. since I know derm is a harder field to get into? Thanks so much!
yey! at last! i was so excited when i heard that you'll have your channel, talking about PA journey. thank you. I wanted to become a PA too. a little hesitant about finances, how did you manage to pay for PA school? and how much does it cost? what PA school offers the lowest? excited for you to give advises on these areas on your next vlog. see you! xoxo
Great video! I'm in PA School now and thinking about what specialty I wanna work in. What was the training period like for derm? And did you have to do a training period for Gen surg and urgent care?
Wow 👏 so impressive. It's great u always had a great team! You've been blessed. So happy for u. What was main reason u picked PA program verses being a physician. As when I worked with PA s they did everything the docs did except our co didn't allow them to do the triple copy scripts. However to be honest they were more of a team player then the Doctors fir some reason. I'm glad your so happy doing what your doing ! Thanks for the video! 😊❤
I came to comments looking for the answer to this question. How long will your commute be after you move? Is the reason you are able to keep your dream job because of having predictable hours?
Ok your hair is wonderful. Where in NY do you get it done? Your moving so I assume you can tell us now lol need to go get a nice color job in the city. Any recommendations for a great place to go? Thanks and congratulations on the channel.
Congratulations and welcome to the crazy world of U tube...lol Looking forward to hearing more from you. Also, I'd like to know about the educational requirements for becoming a PA. Thanks
Sounds amazing! Curious if the company you’re with now has a location in the area that you’re moving to that you can transfer to? Or have you found a new job in your new city?
Thanks for this video, very helpful! I recently passed the PANCE and I’m currently in the mist of applying to jobs- with an interest in aesthetics (JECT = dream job). In your opinion, do you recommend waiting for a job opportunity in derm/plastics/aesthetics, or do you think it’s best to take a job in any field just to gain experience? As each day passes, I’m beginning to become a little more apprehensive in my job search- hoping you can shed some insight. Excited for you as you embark on this TH-cam journey! Thanks for being an inspiration, and sharing your experiences ◡̈
A video on this is coming next week! But, As a new grad, finding a job can be difficult in the first place since " experienced required" is a common factor you see on the job ads, but apply anyway! As a new grad, gaining any medical experience is always a plus. If you can find a derm/plastics job, then take it! Otherwise, start working in a different speciality and as you gain experience you can transition.
Great video! I decided to pursue a career as a PA in part because you’re train as a “generalist” and then you can explore specialities! However, how do employers view a PA that changes specialties often? Can it be frowned upon, or is that “normal” ? Thanks again for the info and see you in the next one!
I mean it all depends and if you have great references, I don’t think it should be an issue. I relocated a few times due to my husband’s training. Sometimes, life happens!
Hi Andriana! I'm from Canada (Quebec) and I would like to know the difference between a PA and a clinical nurse specialist and a nurse practitioner. In Quebec, There is no PAs. Either you are a physician or a nurse.
Love your content so far, but I wish your editor would pick a screen crop and apply it to the entire video. This constantly cropping in and out is incredibly distracting.
PA can diagnose, write prescriptions, order tests and work in any field in medicine and switch areas in medicine - going from er - dermatology. They are also trained in the medical model. A nurse (RN) can not do any of those things. A nurse practitioner ( masters degree) can write prescriptions, order tests - but they have to specialize in a field ie family practice, Intensive care etc) they are trained in the nursing model. Hope this helps.
Did you just post the same time I did!??
Yes I just came from ur video
I saw searching your comment 😁
Couples that post together stay together

Probably sitting right next to each other too, huh? Lol
My PA was the one that found and diagnosed my melanoma! Forever grateful you all you guys do! 😊

How was being a surgery pa?
Highly recommend. Mix of everything: managing patients, seeing new consults in the ER, assisting in the operating room, etc
