Cool vid, I'm not sure how many Manon players know this but stHP has a unique property where you can cancel the recovery animation (not recovery frames), by holding down-back or back, to advance your position closer to the opponent. So usually this is not that good because you're minus however if after stHP you leave your stick in neutral and let the recovery animation play out you will return to the same position as when you pressed it. So with this you can set up some nice spacing traps.
I heard that but ok what if the dish is sushi - like yeah sometimes I have a few piece sashimi-snack before whatevers the main, but also sometimes a gigantic boat chock full of raw fish flesh shows up and that for sure goes down as a main dish.
I had a shit of a night last night. Could barely win any games. Im 1500+ master Manon but i felt like i needed to learn her basics again bc i dont think i quite understood her gameplan . Gonna go over this stuff today . Thanks so much. Deff subbed
Watching high level replays gives me good ideas, but detailed explanations like this help me to understand WHY do this instead of that. Love the Manon tech…thanks!
i'd have to sit down and think about this before pushing it out but ill def look into doing this. For now, after pressing crMK, look to press stHK or HP afterwards and see how often you catch people immediately tryna press
@@nosaparks In the offensive way, to put the opponent in a cage, it's very effective. But if I'm in the corner, the defense against jump shimmies, normal shimmies, grab, hit and DI is a lot to look for, specially if they don't respect you ( without invincible reversal) Every time I use a SA2, I am able to get out of the situation because they aren't scared of Manon. I know that I have to look for openings, and be patient. But the mental stack is way too much...
Simple one, is there any mileage in lp rond-pont -> FDash-> Dr Cr. Mp -> Lp Lp -> Lp rond-pont. I was told early in season 1 that this was a good loop for Manon, but I don't see it used. Is it just a bad idea?
Bait and punish to the best of my knowledge xd DPs in SF have priority over anything I can think of except supers, in other games (like guilty gear for example) you can grab the fuck out of them if timed right, unfortunately that's not the case here
Hope This helps y'all get better results with manon! What other content would you like to see next?
I'd like to see somehing about grapplers, manon specifically, against projectiles
Or Anti-air Crossups with Manon

yep its some really good tech when in neutral!
"its not the main dish, it's an appetizer", truer words have never been spoken
when cmnd grab becomes ur sole focus youll get cooked by people who go "duhhhh he near me hold up"

Loved this vid. Thank you. What’s the background music?
the first song is pyramid (Internal Ruins), The oppressed FFVii Abridged, Infinite azure, touch and go tekken
when he said its not the main dish, it's an appetizer....my spine tingled and i went to check my pants....please don't judge me

What's the game plan against wakeup ex DPs?

unfortunately, we dont have an easily accessed safe jump. so all we can do is try to bait when we think that a dp is coming
