Hello Dan. I have an incredibly creepy story about something that happened to me and my twin brother when we were 11. To this day, finding a rational and good explanation seems hard. Both of us woke up around the same time in the middle of the night, I don't know exactly when but it felt like it was around 2 or 3 a.m. My brother was on the opposite side of our room near the entrance and at the time I didn't know he had also woken up. Something felt really off, almost like I was in some sort of false reality or dream world. It was dark outside and everything just felt very ominous. I looked around the room until I saw something standing behind the door frame. It was some sort of shadow figure, staring into the room at me. I hurriedly put the cover back on top of my body and laid down. I asked my brother if he was awake, to which he responded "yes". Then I asked him if he could also see 'that' and he said yes again. That made me incredibly scared so I threw my cover over my head. At this point, something happened to my perspective of view. It was divided into three, one normal, one that saw through my cover, and one looking down at me from the corner in the ceiling above. I could see the shadowy figure slowly moving towards me. It finally came to the foot of my bed and started looming over me. It grew bigger and it felt like it was about to consume me. Then I asked my brother if we should run into our father's adjacent room. He agreed and we counted down from five in tandem. Then we threw our covers off and ran. The journey out into the hallway and into dads room felt extremely long and dangerous though it was just a few steps. Dad turned his light on and explained to us how our brains were developing and seeing things can happen for children but that it's nothing dangerous. Much later I learned from my brother (we didn't really talk about this for many years, we just kind of forgot it happened. Trauma I guess.) that his experience was identical to mine. That the figure had approached him and that it had stood at the foot of his bed, not mine. The only explanation I have for that is that we shared some sort of brief psychosis or sleep paralysis (though I've had many of those and it doesn't feel like it was the same). Talking about this now, almost 20 years later, still sends shivers down my spine and brings tears to my eyes. I think it traumatised me a little bit.
Dan you are not at all had, I feel for you there, and as for the sleeping bags all around you I am the same with windows without curtains, I hate that feeling of what or who could be our there. West Virginia has alot of unexplained things going on due to rocks and laylines and even different metals and minerals causing electrics and compasses not to work. Something may have happened way back with another Dan(Danny) and every so often if the conditions like the summer months are right it repeats itself, OR it was a warning to stay away for a while for safety reasons to yourself! Love the unexplained like you, but it does freak you out plus, you are a sensitive person who I think receives like a medium. Stay safe Dan and thank you for another great video. X❤
No one from the mountains will call you crazy. There’s a reason we keep the kids out of the woods. It’s not safe for kids. There’s things in the woods that mimic humans but aren’t.

Eventually it went away with no clear reason as to why it was happening. I still have some memory of it. Also sometimes as a kid home alone at night the smoke detectors in the house would start going off for no reason, no smell of smoke or anything. I always took it as a warning of something but it’s never been clear as to what. There’s also spooky rumor and speculation about some of the older members of my family, but if you ask any questions they act like they have no idea what you’re talking about. Life is weird.. and so is family tbh.
Can you go back to that abandoned place where like a teenager was living in with all those creepy drawings and that children’s asylum that was so scary and such good exploration I found those places very interesting Dan 😊

Even as a teenager I've had the craziest unexplainable experiences, but the people I was with remember it too. One time we were in the woods in NJ and we we were so terrified we called the cops and they arrested us and we didn't even care. We had to write it all down and our parents came to get some of us. I mean, I guess these things happened. Obviously some of them did. Did we all hallucinate it? Prob not, but you second guess yourself when you're only like five yrs old n sometimes u forget it even happened.
This story reminds me of that video of these teens walking through woods and they hear a woman screaming but they run away. Turns out on the news that a woman was actually being killed there.

Dan, that sounds like what a Wendigo would do. They can imitate voices and they call from the woods. When they sound far away, they're very close to you. I'm glad you didn't follow.

Sounds like someone meant you harm, probably stood behind a tree waiting to hit you over the head if you walked up to them, and far enough away from the others they would likely not hear any struggle taking place

The examples shown of psychics being wrong is never shown against times they were right. Psychics are human which means they can interpret things incorrectly. No nuance is given there. Many paranormal things have happened to you and yet it's just a coincidence or explainable somehow. Ok that's your prerogative. But you're wrong lol
