Man... BnS west release in 2016 for the first few weeks - up to a month, was some of most fun i've had in MMORPGs. You level up to 45 and get to moonstone plains, everyone gets the same BiS gear very easily, and you fight PvP with other faction for the Terrors and Blackwyrm, only item you could hope to get to improve was the Blackwyrm wing, which had incredibly high price...
But then over time game became more and more progressively p2w, the last time i played the game seriously was around time when Soulstone plains dropped and Mushin tower Swordsman guy on floor 15 or 20 was hardest content, after that point game really went too far into P2W for me to enjoy, and factions lost all purpose because one faction was for farming bots and other one for actual players. Fighting for soulstone plains, collecting meteors, and trying to make last effort as the last Crimson clan member with like 5-10 of us for few days as everyone went to Cerulean because Crimson faction was absolutely swarmed with bots, game turning into me either spending my grinded mats and dailies into cosmetics or upgrades, and having nothing else to do but grinding dailies is what killed it for me. As an older player those would be the issues i would like to see fixed the most - Balanced factions without bots and reason, removed p2w where people literally overheal, and a way to actually grind in game and sell items, having tradeable drops etc... instead of just being able to gamble with gemstone pouches and trying to shark people into paying more for items in dungeons.

I must say from another perspective than most of you guys here (probably). I have ONLY played BnS classic, what I mean by that is that I have only played the game before all the patches and silverfrost mountain and stuff like that. For me, it would be very fun to experience the same feeling without prestige and trying to minmax or be best or something like that. I'm having very fun with Season of Discovery in WoW atm which is more or less the same thing as this announcement. I think I honestly will give this a go :)
Have mercy 😢 everytime i see it i want to play it right away...
This is all great, of course, but I hope that they will tell us about monetization in the game in the near future...

Please change the monatiazation of the game towards skins/cosmetics and remove all the P2W elements with this new update (I know it is probably too dreamy to hope for).
Business-wise it will surely cause less profit for the company in the short-term BUT imagine all the old players returning to this beautiful game (together with new players) for the updated graphichs and smoother gameplay, and they will wanna stick around if you give them a proper non-p2w gear progression system.
This means that for the long-term, NCSOFT will make way more profits than it could ever make with another "milking" old player mindset. I believe that NCSOFT would have enough budget to go through this not-so-much-profitable short term period and start getting the fruits of a very sustainable modernized monetization model, just like how RIOT games does it.
They would make more money simply because original BnS actually has esport potential. The game draws eyes when they focus on PvP.

just tell me wich regions will be available so i can move on... i have zero hopes for south america servers already

There will be no SA servers, you can already move on.
I only played BnS for a month or two because I had insane conexion problems and lag when I played but I had A LOT of fun, never went back to it later on because I heard it went crazy with bots and MTX... I will try this release for sure.
I remember 2016 Blade and Soul is really fun to play before become P2W game

they wanna keep the balance between casual player and hardcore player.. so adding stamina function like resin in genshin impact to a MMO (a stamina system where to have to spend some to be able to do dungeon/boss, refill everyday or get more in battle pass) so casual player can enjoy the game and hardcore player need to pay to enjoy the hardcore, that's by far i've heard, one more crazy thing is the person created the party can now choose between yoink all them loot for themselves or give it to a random party member choose by system, i don't really believe that from the thought of ncsoft want to revive BnS but that sound kinda crazy, although it's only just a couple of info from this first limited close beta launch, maybe they'll change it in the public launch idk, we can only wait and find out.
Please make Stratus Heaven beautiful like the old times... i'm going there just to think about the life... is my favorite place in the game.

As long as p2w will exist in this game it remains dead. The combat is amazing but thats all they've got going for them right now.

I'm glad to see Koreans complaining about the pay to win. The amount that Koreans hate NCSoft puts those old western rumours of "Koreans love pay to win" to rest. Korean companies are just greedier and more exploitative.

🤣As a fellow African resider, I'd love this to happen, but it won't. They need enough players and the game to at least have the potential to make enough money for it to justify server costs and maintenance and no offense, I don't see it gaining enough players from Africa let alone having players who'd be willing to spend money on it. If they don't have a Bahrain server, which in my opinion is an area with decent player and income potential, there's no way SA server will happen.

not a fan of dumbing down gameplay in order to make it "less of a hassle". if u consider your game to be tedious then removing stuff from it will not fix the issue. removing blue quests destroys the worldbuilding. destroys the rpg part of the game. makes the game a chore to rush thru pointless areas instead of exploring and living thru what denizens of different areas go thru. if u consider this part of the game to be bad design then maybe resign from ur role of lead director, since u have no idea what direction this game should go for players to actually enjoy it.
the retail version of the game has NO backbone anymore. theres nothing to get immersed in. what audience is it that ur targeting this release at? old players? who already know the story? why even bother if u want them to skip the whole freaking game and get back to swiping to progress thru arbitrary dungeon grind? new players? and how do u want to keep them engaged? if all theyr gonna be presented with is rushed spineless world, with no meaningful story behind it that ur expected to just rush thru, giving u no reason to get invested in, other then what shop has to offer once u hit a wall of mandatory nc payments to progress thru "endgame".
thats what im gathering from this video. have NO hope for this releas which is a shame becouse u had what could have been one of, if not the best mmo on the market, with its unrivaled combat, and beutiful aesthetics. but ur freaking greed destroyed it beyond repair, and the only chance to redeem some of it, by way of classic release u clearly intend to mess up too. this company was, and still proves to be a JOKE, with no clue how to manage a playerbase, other then milking the most naive of them for their money.

You clearly don't if you're wasting your time sending that. They're intentionally being obscure on subjects that the players want actual details on, the same as they are on the live server.

remove the f8, let people search party through chat as the moment u enter f8 feels like single coop game. create a system with open world pvp (not just faction as in the end most will join one faction and rip owpvp) or make it the moment u select one u cant change it anymore
just ad more features to open world pvp and pvp in general not just random dungeon simulator
