Played the shit out of this game when I was a young teen. I almost always built shit loads of Paladins to wreak the enemy bases. Many many years later when I joined the service, I ended up being an M109A6 Paladin crew member and being its driver. I always played the OST in my head when I drove her XD

Best game ever. Best thing about it, when the action starts, it doesn't stop. The computer keeps throwing things at you until it runs out of resources.
+Dragos Enescu Funny thing is, he doesn't. Unless it's a spectator bug, the AI player keeps getting 5000$ every few moments.
+Mikołaj Tomaszewski on zero hour yes the computer cheats for cash, but normal generals (not zero hour) does work on what cash he has. I prefer the non cheating AI, less action but more realistic and you can target the supply lines as a way to win :-)
Yeah, but then you're playing against a gimped, retarded opponent who barely does anything. The only way Normal or even the Hard AI is a challenge in this game is if you sit there and do nothing for long periods of time. And even then the AI isn't capable of turtling well enough to survive any large scale attacks..
It didnt matter how developed ur base was, when the "Assault - GLA 3" ( 46:21 ) started playin, u knew they were about to end ur whole entire career...

Loaded dozens of extra maps for this. One was the hardest map I ever tried where you effectively played Osama bin Laden in his mountain hide-out trying to push the USA out of Kabul.
That was damn hard.

Lol, reminds me of my friends dad. We played against each other. He really liked the game and would play it all the time. We faced off and I had a lot of xp. online whe the game was big so I was way out of his league. Built a wall around him and everything.

The wind instrument parts of 1:20:27 to 1:20:40, 1:22:18 to 1:22:33, and 1:22:35 to 1:22:49 in the video which was Peacetime China 4 reminds me a lot of the soundtrack for the Cambodia level from Jewel Quest Solitaire III. I first heard the C&C soundtrack from this video: th-cam.com/video/yOYqJ9AKeL8/w-d-xo.html , and there was some other China themes in that video from C&C as well.

A personal favourite of mine, which unfortunately didn't make it to the official OST album releases (what a shame; it's a really cool track, to be honest). Sometimes, it makes me wish that the developers could've had more time to develop the beloved games and see to it that the cut content (well, those units and mechanics that could be useful while still providing gameplay balance), including this track, get to be used in the final release.

Can someone with knowledge of music tell me if this flute tune at 1:22:18 has a specific name? I mean..common.. it's *the* chinese flute-tune. It's overused, not in this soundtrack but across all media in general. It's this one tune that screams : "ah yeah it's chinese". It's like if you had access to a universal soundpool, it would have an entry under "wilhelm scream", "standard horse noises" and then "China" and this flute would play. This tune must have a name.
Although I prefer Frank Klepacki, this Soundtrack is exceptionally well done. I love how all the factions sound so different but equally badass.
