In Unknown's story, it is very vague at first at TTT1, because she was portrayed as Jun's sister...
But in TTT2, she's now the alternate version of Jun, which in fact is a very interesting story than the previous.
If you play "Project X Zone 2" it seems Unknown's case has been fleshed out there by the help of Jin, Kazuya and Heihachi there.
If only they put it that way for Unknown to be canon.
Unknown is sexy and cool here but I prefer tag 1 unknown because of her design and that wolf makes her look badass.

I agree they sold out the original character uniqueness for fan service. Tekken tag 1 unknown is not jun! In tekken the 1 in bowl mode Jun was right handed and unknown was left handed. Jun is also taller than unknown and unknown had green eyes. In all honesty the wolf spirit wouldn’t be able to die it could be damaged but not killed

3:25 the vortex is actually useable as a Tag Assault combo ender, but only if the last Tag Assault hit from your partner either flips their body or spikes so that the opponent's tech roll is disabled

I remember when this game first came out. Jun and Unknown were almost impossible to beat. I had it set to normal and the ai was crazy hard. Then people complained and they nerfed the final boss lol.

It was Jun from the start (hinted at by multiple endings and clues from the game) the foreign department of namco simply didnt know what statement to give when asked.
But no such thing as a random invented sis (the story makers are japanese manga artists, they dont do this stupid shit).
The only idea that was retconned story wise is angel cuz they didn't know what direction to take at the time.

It was a rumor before that infact it's jun, but the tag series is trying to say that Jun became corrupted which explains her disappearance in Tekken 3. In the Tag canon is confirmed she is indeed missing not dead and somehow mysteriously guiding Jin and persuading him to stop Kazuya without killing him(because he is being manipulated by Devil and lost by the Hatred that Heihachi created within him the same could kinda be said for Heihachi too) which many and you seen in Tekken 4 true Ending and the non-canon game Tag 1 Jin ending A. Jinpaichi is another case because he didn't had any choice and all of his actions was being controlled by a mysterious vengeful Demonic spirit which was rapidly gaining full control through time.

Damion Dixon it's a huge industry, you can't generalize it like "most of them are sht". Nah, but you are right with one thing, them being Manga artists doesn't mean anything. Let's face it, the tekken story had a lot more potential and they wasted a lot, way too much. I'm not even disappointed anymore since I know their shitty writing. They don't care about the story anymore but rather focus on gameplay + online. The focus is just different these days, noone plays Story mode anymore
according to Tag 1 she got posessed by a wolf spirit, I don't know if that fact still holds for this game also considering Angel basically releases Jun of this spirit by the end of Unknown's arcade run
Actually in tag 1 it wasn't even Jun at all. The original idea was for unknown to be jun's sister. The idea was scrapped and unknown in tag1 is just a random female possessed by a wolf sprit

Had an active window on and including frames 3 to 8.
After a successful reversal, Unknown was +22.
But they could still block so nothing was guaranteed.
All you got was a mix up or CH set ups.
But to get CHs you have to use moves that were i23 or slower. Or delay your attacks.

@@xhelixshotx +22g. Tekken has +(frame here)kg. Simply speaking, we are plus but they can guard. Good example of this is Jin's df1,4. He's at +18kg BUT nothing is guaranteed after his df1,4
Another cool thing is that when she's teaming up with Jun, Unknown's grab that leads into a breakable pillar can also be used as a tag grab. Unknown does the startup, where she will then transform into Jun for the ender.

Man... I remember how hyped I got when I was playing through the storymode for the first time. Beat Heihachi/Jinpachi... beat Ogre.. now onto the final boss... Oh, it's Jun? Ok then..

One other thing that Unknown is missing is Jun's 1+2, which is a pretty good move.
maybe she got corrupted after being spanked by Kazuya, maybe his devil gene somehow infected her but she awakened it at a later age and during certain critical situations, maybe she was always fighting that corruption through her mental state and spirit to maintain and broke when she fought ogre, it was a cool characters, that should be brought back in tekken 8 but with more original and updated moves
I hate alot of theories I see on unknown, but this might be good enough to save the character

The werewolf is a 'wolf spirit' and she broke free of it in her ending in Tag 1.
I remember back in the day, there was a combo you could do to land the snapback at the end of a combo.
Not sure how practical it was, but hey you could do it.
Might have an use after your olponent has used tag crash and their other character has low health without any red health to recover
It could be the Demonic wolf persona that controlled Jun Kazama back in tag 1, but taking on shape of it's previous vessel/host (being Jun Kazama) and the Jun Kazama we see in Tag 2 could just be her soul or spirit taking on a physical manifested form. It would be cool to see her return, however looking more like Jun (maybe being a little stoic) wandering the land of the living with little to no memories, but can't faintly feel the bonds between those who the Jun Kazama original had a connected with with (most of this is just speculation though).
The peoblem with Tag 2 is that it isn't canon. Anyone can theorize any kind of story but in the end, it won't have an effect on the main story
From what I understand the first Unknown was Jun's sister controlled by the Wolf/Devil spirt idk but it attached itself to Jun and that's what we have in Tag2

When she pretty much switches your character with one move that acts like a grab.
She had a really good homing move with f+4, just like Jun's on steroids because she got d+2 afterwards and the pillar reached for the bound, tag assault, big boi ttt2 damage.
So many cool stuff, game seems like Bandai have invested Millions for characters and customisation which seemingly should attract more people than T7.
And it was killed by Eddy Gordo.

On the ss-2-u, it may be more of a cinematic combo, but it's not useless, and it's more than a fair trade off for how simple it is.

Lore: unknown is a godlike spirit that resembles the kindred (wolf and lamb spirit) and when jun got possessed by it before she died, the purple stuff is just the spirit (it works kinda like venom) but when u defeat her u set her soul free cus yaknow she gotta die

Originally, the TT1 Unknown was heavily implied to in fact not be Jun, but rather related to her, specifically, her sister, so I'd imagine this Unknown isn't the original Unknown, as she's pretty much been confirmed to be Jun in Tag 2.
Ttt1 unknown is still Jun despite it being hinted at, the sister idea was scrapped
In the first game Unknown takes controll of the werewolf demon so thats prob why the werewolf doesnt appear anymore, she 'consumed' him.

I'm pretty certain it was an angry/corrupted forest spirit in the form of a wolf spirit that possesses Jun. The Japanese love that kind of shit, honestly. Lovely pure spirits being corrupted by evil and turning people into demons as a result. I always liked Unknown and Jun, I'd love to see them back at some point.

CoDeX She doesn’t, but I’m saying they should give it to her instead of the Wolf spirit. I mean it was cool at first, but after years of getting no info. on it I stopped caring personally. Plus I feel like it would be better for story telling if the Tekken story was just focused on the DG instead of having both the DG and the Wolf thing running around so things don’t get convoluted.

TheMainManSWE unknown is basically jun kazama while her soul is being possessed by a wolf spirit after the events of tekken 2 where devil kazuya leaves her on the brink of death a wolf spirit discovers her body and begins to take control while the wolf spirit is in her body she can only be defeated not killed which is why we don’t see her in the main story tekken games because she isn’t a big part in the main story my prediction is if they someday do bring unknown into the main tekken story in later years if one found a way to remove the wolf spirit juns body would just bleed out from her wounds from devil kazuya essentially killing her off all together
You said that her unique stuff weren’t dramatic but they were what made unknown superior to Jun. She had much better oki her d2 hit grounded whereas Juns d2 did not better her evasive ss2 had a unique second part where the hand would hit them again pulling them to unknown face down for really good oki. Juns ss2 gave nothing. Unknown could refloat, hit grounded etc. Her 1+2 throw used to break walls for a full combo but Juns didn’t and her spike projectiles were pretty good keepout tools
