Definitely read the manufacturers Installation instructions some suggest a minimum clearance above the tv unit. Ventilation restrictions can cause issue's. Great video but thought it's worth mentioning

I suggested something very similar to this to one of my clients in January. They smirked and dismissed the idea, three months later and i have fittedone and they are delighted.
This is very easy and i have been doing this kind of work for years however, projects like this should have a space for 85" tv but i get it some rooms not that big.
Each to their own but you're using up valuable storage space. I've simply surrounded the screen area with Ikea storage units. That way satellite boxes, old stack units, speakers, books & whatever else can be there. Plus left enough space in case I want to upgrade the TV size in the future. If you don't want to use Ikea, then using MDF is your next best bet.
I guess when building a media wall, regarding the size of the recess for your/the current TV size, i guess you could build a recess to cater for a bigger TV in the future. While you may have an open surround of say 2+ inches around the current TV you could still have led strips on back of the TV just to give the hue effect behind the TV which still would remain a nice feature. Having said this, you could probably just build it to cater for a sized TV you are happy to live with providing your room isnt getting any bigger or youve become lazy going to the opticians and instead decide a bigger TV is the solution 😂

In a few years' time, there are going to be a lot of people with bad backs and stiff necks due to tilting their heads back to look at TVs placed high up on walls. To avoid problems the middle of the TV should be roughly the same hoght at your eyes, so either watch your TV standing up or place at a sensible height so you don't have to tilt your head back to watch it when sitting down

this is done exclusively for RGB illumination. there is a reverse technology when a niche for a TV is made in the wall. There is one weak point in such solutions - heat distribution, because the back panel of the LCD TV gets very hot, and this heat needs to be diverted somewhere. The weakest point of all LCD TVs is the overheating of one of the backlight LEDs due to poor heat dissipation. Therefore, in order to ensure a long service life of the LCD TV, attention must be paid to heat dissipation in general. all kinds of blind niches only exacerbate the accumulation of heat behind the TV. therefore, from the point of view of aesthetics, this kind of false box is a matter of taste for the owner, but from a technical point of view it is not the best solution due to the lack of thermal dissipation.
