I love west lake. Several things to remember: No see ums can be severe here bring spray and layers! Dry-land is a commodity here, mostly mangroves. Be prepared to search for a picnic spot. If you launch from harbor Towne marina, the main channel is high traffic and the sides have large jagged rocks just under the water, maneuver carefully. This is the largest ecosystem of its kind in the area, enjoy it!!

this is a fantastic park i live next to it lots of natural things plus Crocodiles which i had documented in 1998 a great place to visit this is what the east coast looked like before man and woman took over richard in world famous Dania beach fl
I've seen a Croc one day about an 8 footer. Well mannered creature. Kept his distance. And I respected his. As I write this I'm sitting on the bench close to the water. Just across from the kayak rentals. A splendid place indeed. West Lake Park
Exactly right, I should have mentioned that in the video. You'd have to venture out into the Intracoastal Waterway to encounter any gas powered watercraft like I did.
I've seen different types of gar and also some puffer fish, but this does connect to the intracoastal so when you think about it, anything from the ocean can make it in there.

I go kayaking there often. This area does not allow gas motors. No annoying jetskis to ruin your adventure: )

@@NowThisIsFlorida if I have a trolling motor on my boat but use it instead of my normal engine am I allowed in. It’s a 20ft bay boat
