I planted a plant in my school 5 years ago for one of the science class I came back to visit the school after I left and I found these handsome boi feeding on it.

I heard the caterpillars had their path to eat green tree leaves in order to turn into butterflies. That was how God made them that way if you know what I mean.
Monarch Caterpillars are only able to eat milkweed, and won't be able to eat your plants. Plus it will turn into a Monarch Butterfly, who will end up pollinating your plants for you.
