    Hi, this video gives me a lot of information. I’m chopper and I think LP attack is very difficult. But it’s very effective to get point. I always use p1 and feintlong3. I continue to study the feature of LP.

    Beautiful demo of long pips play. So deceptive, could easily passed off as inverted rubber attacks.! Brilliant idea as it greatly adds to one arsenal of weapons. 👌👍

    755 ox is best I have seen to hit underspin flat through ball and to block loop. You can also counter medium top spin balls with it. Gives enough dead ball when hit to make opponent dump as long as you dont spin it but hit flat with in on BH.

      I have started long pimple (no coach training) for about a month already but still struggling on the control. 755 is also what I am using now (because it is cheap), do you have any tips on how to stabilise the attacks and also how should I deal with a short low backspin serve?

      @@Hin-yi6gw I suggest contacting coach Danny Hill out of NC. He has good methods for teaching the LP backhand. I will post a video soon as well.

      @@Hin-yi6gw I have used 755ox to hit in my LP journey. One of the tricks to hit is to hold the racket lightly as it seems to increase the dwell time and increase the little friction the pips provide. However I noticed the characteristics of pips and friction change after one month of use and they lose the friction making it harder to hit. That is one reason I moved away from the rubber.

    Why are the first 2 examples different racket angle despite the same rubber? I’m confused. One is closed racket angle, the other is more open, despite the same sheet of rubber.

    Thank you very much for posting this instructional and helpful video. Due to injuries, I can no longer continue to be a double winged looper. My coach suggested chopping on my forehand and attacking with my backhand because my backhand is much more consistent and dangerous. I am considering chopping / counter-attacking with long pips on my forehand instead of other inverted rubber to give my game more finesse, control and deception. Would you have any advice on effectively chopping and using long pips on the forehand? Kind regards.

    The grain amount is a curly series or a feint series as expected. I'm strong in a habit, and the overseas rubber is difficult to use.

    I am switching from short pips to using long pips on backhand. As a beginner in using long pips, what sponge thickness should I use? I play close to table and attack with long pimples like you did as shown in the video. Please advice and thank a lot for your videos demonstrating the techniques. They are great videos!

    • @19fabelicious89
      @19fabelicious89  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends on your aim with long pips, I think. For attacking a thicker sponge is more useful, for safety a thinner sponge is better, especially when you play close at the table. Hope you have found some good long pips in the meanwhile ;-)

    Hi there, thanks for this video. It definitely adds to the bag of tricks for long pips players. Have you tried the same strokes with Tibhar Grass Dtecs?

    • @19fabelicious89
      @19fabelicious89  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, I tried the stroke with Grass D'Tecs as well when some of the players I coached tried to learn it. It is possible, but harder. Especially, when you play Grass D'Tecs without sponge because control is less. I would recommend to practice with a focus on fast wrist movement to make the pimples bend

    Hi, nice video. I am 2100 player. I recently changed my backhand from Dr Neubauer Diamant to TSP Curl P2 with medim 1.5 spong. I enjoy it a lot, but I have been having problem with the pimples on the topsheet. they break (half break) very quickly. Almost after a month playing I notice the spot I hit the most, the pimples are half broken. They are not detacked from the topsheet, but if I closely look at them, they are half broken. Have you had this problem with TSP before? Do you have similar problem with P4?
    Thanks

      Hi, I didn't have the same problems with P1R or P4. After some months they start to break and become softer. But I don't know how different P2 is ... Maybe if you attack a lot the pimples break faster?

    Have you ever tried Butterfly Feint AG? Do you think that there is an advantage of attacking with long pips?

    • @19fabelicious89
      @19fabelicious89  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I didn't try Feint AG. Currently I play Feint Long 3 which is great for attacking (almost like normal rubber). The advantage of attacking with long pips is that your opponent and partners are not used to it. It is a surprise. Many players use balls without rotations (=floats) to the pips to prepare the next attack. If you attack those floats you can easily destroy the rhythm and make an easy point. In the end, playing with pips needs variation and that's why you need to attack sometimes

      Hi thnx for your video ! It s really interesting. Which blade are you using now with feint long 3? From your experience does the blade also play a role or is the rubber more important? 3-4 months ago I changed my BH-rubber to long pips (Grass D'Tecs 1,2mm) with an allround evolution stiga blade and I find it really difficult to attack with the long pips with this equipment (it s possible for me only if the ball goes higher then net). I m thinking to change to a Stiga Defensive Wood NCT with feint long 3 1,3mm. Do you think its a better combination?

    I have a question regarding your technique, being long pips player who wants to do more then defending. Is it a rule to always bend pips when hitting. When doing that different shot against topspin, that was quite flat. Do you always use wrist and how do you lift backspin with pimples, many recommend flat hit

    wow you play with 1.5mm sponge? Is it difficult to control?

    • @19fabelicious89
      @19fabelicious89  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is always more difficult to control pips with a thicker sponge. It depends on what you are used to. When I first tried it, it was a hard time but I could adapt my strokes. In the meanwhile I changed to Feint Long 3 with 1.3mm sponge which is easier to control than Curl P4 with 1.5mm sponge.

    So...if you're going to do this, you might as well take up a normal inverted rubber, instead of playing with material like a tinker.

      if you play with pips it doesnt mean all you are ever going to do is chop block. you need to master every stroke no matter the rubber.
