    Remember those are basic.. and there are also some advance technique in Long pips. There are a lot of things to learn in LP and if you learn how to twiddle, you win most of your game.

    So I’m kinda a noob and was wandering does long pimples make more spin then normal rackets when there is little to no topspin (like can it make more backspin in this scenario)I know it’s a noob question lel

      The amount of spin depends on the opponent ..if you know how to use long pimp

    • @roman2374
      @roman2374 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      With long pimples you can generate less spin than with an inverted rubber. Only when the opponent plays you a lot of spin it easy to create large amount of spin with pimples. And you have the advantage of being able to ‘delete’ the spin more easily than with inverted and play empty floaters. If you want to be able to produce spin - play inverted. I love long pimples but I switched back to inverted because I just love creating my own spin and setting impulses, applying pressure, rather than mostly reacting. And constantly twiddling got annoying and caused me to make too many mistakes.

      Butterfly primorac

    • @jaymunmun
      @jaymunmun 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A softer, pure wood blade, like Koji Matsushita can be a good option. Or you may try combination blades if you want to attack with your FH.

      @@jaymunmun shall i go for defensive blade or all blade?

    • @B-Rain_Ita
      @B-Rain_Ita 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sumandas9487 it depends on your type of play style. If you are a player who still tends to attack with the forehand and therefore you prefer a defensive / aggressive style of play, go allround. If, on the other hand, you prefer a passive defensive style of play with chop from under the table then a defensive is perfect.

      It depends on your game style. OX pips-out are slower and have more control when pushing the ball over the net. The downside is it's harder to attack, especially when attacking a topspin ball. On the other hand, with a sponge, the ball contact with the rubber is longer, which makes attacking topspin easier, but, you lose control a little bit. My advice is: if you're a beginner with LP, start using OX, than later you switch to a rubber with sponge, it will make your learning curve smoother, with less chances of making mistakes.

    The whole point of pips is that you don't need much skill to take care of the incoming spin. The pips to it for you. But there is also nothing you can really do other than putting your bat against it. So "technique" for pips is a bit of a contradiction I think.

      "Nothing you can really do other than putting your bat against it"...
      Would be true if you were talking about antispin.
