I'd have to say, the cello is my favorite instrument to hear playing.
Edgar Calderon I agree. I love how it is deeper, and softer than a violin or a viola, but not as much as a bass.

It’s because of the range. Because a cello has a larger range it’s more pleasing to the ear.
I play cello and I think life without music would be a mistake.
I wouldn't say that , there are some who are deaf but music is a like a way of communicating to the soul directly. I love the cello as well, the Piano, Violin and Erhu I think these 4 reach the soul in a very direct way
@@davida6883 Why isn't she allowed to say that? If that's her opinion, an opinion most people hold. It's dumb to withhold a lot of your opinion scared of the off chance someone would be hurt by it.
Deaf people can defend themselves they don't really need someone to fight for them every time sone says the word 'listening' or anything to do with that. But oh well that's my opinion and you are allowed to hold yours.

This is by far my favorite cello song I have watched on TH-cam. It's so beautiful, at one point there were tears in my eyes. I have listened to this for a good three hours while drawing...
That cover of this song bypassed my ears and played directly to my soul. It made my spine shiver and my eyes close. I can hardly use words to describe how beautiful that was.
I played French horn for 7/8 years,all through school. The cello is my favorite string instrument, it shares so many things with the Horn! They are the 2 most powerful instruments to me! They can drive ahead,and be all inspirational,and then turn right around and just Wring the sorrow out of your soul.

So beautiful. I used to be a cello player, but then the outcome of many unfortunate events had made me unable to learn any more from my teacher because I could not see him any more. I am starting to warm back up to the cello, but I feel like I cannot progress. But after I have listened to your music, it makes me feel like I can progress on to doing better things. Your music gives me hope for my musical future. So thank you for filling my heart with joy and giving me something to make me believe in myself once more....thank you.
Never give up! Music is a beautiful and inspiring thing. I started learning the violin but then I lost interest and quit for the summer. I was then involved in a car accident that changed everything. I got back into the violin and being able to express my feelings and emotions through music has helped a lot! Good luck with the cello!

I've been playing the cello for five years now. I've gotten into the habit of playing with my eyes closed (and I play by ear the majority of the time, so I don't really have a need to look at my music), because I allow my ears to do the rest. Truth be told, it helped me to connect with my instrument on a deeper level. An instrument, and the music that the musician draws out of the instrument, is meant to be heard. I know it's not the same as being blind, but when you feel comfortable with playing again, remember that your eyes are not the main key to playing; it's your ears that do the work, and it's your heart that draws the emotion out of you and into your playing. Good luck in your musical, and emotional recovery! 😊😊

@Hope Since I started playing, I at some point began noticing that the cello bridge has it's heart cut out and no head and no hands and thought about it and I've wondered if the original design like this was intentional, symbolic of the fact that the player supplies those.. And Bethany, if you are on youtube, you have a plethora of cello teachers, learn from them and also watching famous players play
I've never played the cello but after hearing this I can't imagine a better instrument for this piece of music. Perfectly well done.

I was incapable of doing any thing other than being in a state of bliss well listening to your music.
It's very hard to put emotion into music, but there was a lot of emotion to this piece. I could almost feel like I was part of the music and there was a story going along with it. The depth and darkness of it was amazing and it all came together so well. This was one of the best covers I've heard of this song. Amazing job

I actually know how to play this, though with very little double stops (playing two strings at the sametime). It's actually not that hard. If you can recognize the key the original Misty Mountains is in, then you can figure out the notes very quickly. I started with figuring out what the lyrics sounded like, and then I added double stops later on.
