Idk why but I kinda feel satisfied when they said Korean women prefer men to shave their legs. In other countries it's a norm only for women, because men prefer women with shaved legs. I'm glad there is somewhere in the world that men can also understand our struggle about keeping up with beauty norms like shaving body hair, caring about skin or hair and using cosmetics. I just hate when men expect women to be perfect like a doll while themselves doing literally nothing.

Guys shave their legs??!! This is quite a culture shock to me as an Indian. Men here sometimes have more hair on their legs then on their head😂😂.

I can't go with the pain Everytime..also my dermatologist strictly recommended me not to go with hair removal..(I got severe rashes on my body no matter how much sunscreen I apply as I am allergic to dust and sun)
Men shaving legs is quiet a cultural shock for me too...
I like men with hair the way God intended. Any man shaving or removing hair unless it's just his beard is a serious turnoff for me. But shaving legs? Oh no no no. Question then becomes are you a man trying to look like a woman?
I do wish that beauty wasn't emphasized so much, and that standards of beauty weren't so impossibly high. I don't think it's good for anyone when we think that we are ugly unless we spend tons of time and money on all these products. It's very illuminating to hear these two talk about feeling insecure and worrying that they won't be able to get dates due to their looks. They're both extremely handsome, with or without cosmetics. I myself am very insecure about my appearance, but people have told me before that I'm beautiful. And, I guarantee that idols worry about their appearances, too. I kind of wish we could all make a resolution together to look uglier. 😂 Just so looking normal could be normal.
I struggled with self love and had a hard time accepting myself. I didn't want to learn how to care about myself so I always looked "normal". Now I keep looking "normal" but without the pressure of wanting to look good to someone else. I value my natural beauty and accept my ugliness too.
TL,DR: Confidence is what suits us best 💜
So true! I know that when I lived in the US no guy in my age range paid attention to me, so I thought I was okay looking. It wasn't until I traveled that I learned that I was beautiful.

Korean women like men who are neat, clean, tidy, fashionable, and cute etc. They like men who take very good care of themselves, such as skin care, fashion, looks etc. Korean women in genera dont like men who are untidy with beard or lots of hair on their body, that is why Korean men shave their hair, not because they want to but because they want to be selected(?)by Korean women. They made it sound like a joke but it is not a joke.😅🤣😂 It is strictly a survival thing from a Korean man's perspective😅

It feels like they are taking as much care of themselves as girls do, the hair trimming, skin care, fashion, cosmetics etc etc. I think it's cool. It's so different from most of the guys that you'll meet in the west. I wish guys in my country also took more care of themselves because I also find it quite attractive, but they don't give a damn lol. They could be hairy as hell but still complain when a girl has some little hair on her body. Ridiculous.
A few years ago it started becoming really popular in Portugal, we labeled those men as metrosexual but they were ridiculized by most men as it wasn't "manly enough", even some women found it hard to accept. It's a shame. If men want to take care of their looks, they should!
and women just don't care or even prefer hairy legs and find it weird when men do shave their legs saying they look like professional cyclists (at least that's what I have heard women saying in my country), how can I even expect to meet a guy who takes care of himself when not doing all that is deeply engraved in our society and percieved as "manly" meanwhile I feel insecure if I go out in shorts without shaving my legs the previous day

For me, I won’t deny that I started watching channels like this after I got into kpop and kdrama, but I didn’t fall soo hard into it just because of kpop. I genuinely fell in love with the culture, food, respect (like the bowing) and yes the entertainment is on another level. But personally I don’t have a type of person that I like, if I like you it’s cuz of u as a person, not cuz u remind me of idols. Korean people are still PEOPLE and I think a lot of ppl forget that.

I wish Western men cared at least half as much about their skin as Koreans. Beauty standards aside, for me basic taking care of your skin just shows you like to be clean and healthy, and it makes you more attractive even if you're a completely average guy. It's kinda hard to explain? My mom always says you really can tell when someone is well-kept. Basic self-care is nice.

I think it's true that Korean men's (and Asian men in general) expectations are so high because of Kpop and Asian drama globalization, and I found it a little sad? I mean, yes, celebrities are pretty but don't expect everyone to look like them, everyone had his own charm and is unique in his own way. ~
Also, I found it funny, Hoseung and Suho talked about all the things we should know about Korean men... But I'm a Canadian man and do all that too (I didn't do GongYoo's hair or coma's hairstyle, but still)? XD' I have a two blocks haircut, I stick to my skincare routine, put on makeup, think the night before to prepare my outfit, often inspire my outfit from a celebrity when I found what they wear pretty. The same applies to my haircut, I often show pictures of celebrities with a similar face shape and/or features as me to my hairdresser, because if it looks that way on them, it will look similar on me.
For me, it's normal to take care of myself or look presentable when I meet someone, but not all Canadians think like me. I think it's just a cultural difference here (and depends on every person too). ^ ^

I’m Canadian as well definitely not all men here take care of themselves so well. Most of the guys I know it’s challenging to get them to put sunscreen on. Makeup might get used to cover a pimple but that’s about it.
Yay! Canadians! Taking care of your skin should be something people think of when they consider their overall health but that way of thinking will take time to become a norm.
I can probably only think of 2 men in my whole family that consistently take care of their skin.
@@sarahrowe9661 , yes I know! I personally take good care of my skin since I suffered from severe acne in my teenage years, I even saw a dermatologist about it and took Accutane to get rid of it. So I learn the bases really quickly haha.

It's interesting to know that most korean guys 'learnt' to take care of their skin especially after army. Lol, that's so not the case in Singapore (well, maybe only a handful of guys who really cares for their skin, else they don't bother at all). Haha..

Wow, this is crazy! Not Shaving your legs, not wearing nipple covers & not using cosmetics doesn’t make a guy untidy or unattractive. I’ve met many men who don’t do any of that and they still look presentable and neat.

That was how I actually found K dramas. I was numb just going through the motions of life, trying to process it all. When thumbing through Netflix to view something to take me away from reality for a while, a Korean drama came up in my feed. I watched “49 days” it was all about the recently passed, coming to terms with their life that had been cut short, so they could pass into the hereafter. It registered, I totally got it. That brought me back into the here and now, cemented my love K dramas. I’m an international fan. I even understand a few words and general sentences these days.
