so one thing of note, discord actually scryfall randoms again as soon as you cast the spell if he's still out when you cast it, you don't have to wait for your end step to roll around again

13:13 eh, he does love chaos, so pretty accurate, and has nigh-infinite power (since he’s based off Q from Star Trek tng). I would have also loved some coin flips, but also contend he should have been WUBRG since he’s a draconequus and many colors.
He's so based on Q that he's voiced by Q.
Man, that Trostani deck did some really cool and wild things, loved that!
Also, thank you so much for the Discord deck, I know it's not a very effective commander, but sometimes its just fun to enjoy the magic of friendship and randomness
I wonder why Marie didn’t keep Sam over the 1/1 token from Vona’s Hunger. If they had, they could have used their 2 treasures to sac 2 food with the reduced cost and survived the last attack by going to 7. 7:39
A better question is why did the precon player get focused out early in the game while the other players were ignored horrible threat assessment or just some personal issue where they hate her I guess
@@suntitan4429 Her deck is fairly upgraded, so it isn't really a precon anymore. I can't speak to their threat assessment, game choices, or personal biases, but just calling it a precon is a bit false.
@@suntitan4429bro really said precon with a manufacturer in play and enough ways to make foods and soldiers to sac into pipin to overrun. Also the duskana deck prob wont ever kill the lifegain food deck once the food deck sets up and thats just the nature of combat deck vs a grindy lifegain deck. If they do kill they have to spend a ton of resources doing so.
@@fallsenseless9699 In all fairness, Manufactor is included in precons these days. It was in the Clue precon from Karlov Manor, the Outlaws precons from Thunder Junction and the Squirrel precon from Bloomburrow

She played Manufactor, that was justice
Discord is the embodiment of chaos. In the show he is voiced by John de Lancie as Discord's character was loosely based of off Q from Star Trek. So he acts seemingly random, but with a definitive mischievious agenda. He has god-like powers with tendency to break the 4th wall. I think the card doesn't do him justice power-wise, but at least somewhat captures the flavor.
Both Soul of Eternity tokens were created by the Encore ability, so you should've sacrificed both. This is true for all token multiplying replacement effects, be it Mondrak, Parallel Lives, etc.
Good to know! I think I was getting it confused with Populate? That would work with getting rid of the Encore sacrifice iirc?
@@MTGMuddstah Yes, populate creates its own tokens, so these aren't tied to the effects that created the original ones.

seb chooses violence and casts vandalblast and targets aetherflux reservoir
andrew targets seb to deal 50 damage
in response to the activated ability damage seb then uses bedevil on aetheflux reservoir. how does this work stack wise? I thought that bedevil would stop aetherflux from dealing the damage.
The activated ability is already on the stack, so you would need something to either redirect it (i.e. Deflecting Swat, Bolt Bend, etc), to counter it (i.e. Stifle), or to kill the controlling player to exile the trigger. Just destroying the Aetherflux doesn't erase the ability since it is already on the stack.
So in this case:
Bedevil resolves first and destroys the Aetherflux. Then the 50 damage resolves to kill Seb. Vandalblast is then exiled from the stack from the controlling player being dead.
I mean it was because of the Bedevil the Seb was able to destroy the Aetherflux otherwise the Vandalblast would have been countered because of Seb dying

Hey Muddstah! Wondering if you could share any new Trostani cards you've been enjoying like Dino DNA, always looking for new ideas. I've found Angel of Indemnity to perform super well from OTJ, and have been more impressed by Romana II than i thought I'd be. Anything else been treating you well? :)
I picked up one of those Angels, aye! Romana II and City of the Dead are also on my "to test" list.

To be fair, if I’ve learned anything about Marie through muddstah’s years of content, it’s the fact that Marie is a very talented builder of casual decks. Her mere presence is enough to warrant some extra threat assessment getting pointed at her. I can personally attest to being able to durdle and do almost nothing for an entire game then still win because i wasn’t at 0 life yet, though that’s usually through some sort of combo, so i can understand being concerned about the pilot moreso than their boardstate to some degree.
@@connorl0204 I came to the opposite conclusion lol. Marie usually just builds broken stuff and it’s easier to take her out early than it is to let her pop off and become a bigger problem 😂

Others already chimed in about Discord, just want to share how I do it.
I actually have a stack of 100 cards for Discord to pull from. It sounds like I'm not in the spirit of the card. But the collection of cards are curated with the intention that every pull creates a moment. Who doesn't want to see One With Nothing from Discord.
I like Sebs deck the most, he always comes up with great balance overall
