    Dam Gordon May talk a lot of shit out of the ring but I never seen him disrespectful on the mat. He could have ripped the guys arm off but tapped him out nice and easy. That is respect ✊

      First, I don't care about his shape in this context. Not up to me to judge that.
      And for second, many other people who grappled Gordon and are on a way higher level than this guy ended up dominated from start to end without doing basically nothing.
      This guy is an average master black belt with an 8/5 job. He decided to test himself against the top of the top anyway. Yes the score is terrible, yes he was oblitarated and yes he never mounted any offensive but I don't feel like putting him down honestly.

      @D D yeah a real fight would have ended a lot sooner because Gordon Ryan would have got his head kicked in as soon as he tried to pull guard and presented his face for smashing. There's a reason Gordon does not do MMA and that's because he has yet to learn how to actually fight

    • @eschelar
      @eschelar 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah. I am white belt, and a big guy and have rolled with black belts. Gordon was clearly not trying to submit him, but just giving him a bit of fun for his unlikely match up. If he was more skilled, Gordon probably would have played harder and trashed him quick. Guys with a shape like Gordon are deadly once they take the back of a big guy. I can toss lighter weight black belts off me when they play an arm bar all day long. In fact, I often encourage it because it's a good opportunity for me to stack pass and it's usually a low energy expenditure for me for a good positional improvement. But with the back taken, that rnc is just a matter of time.
      What saw here was Gordon evaluating early on that this guy was no threat and giving him a good fun ride until he burned out and then they both took the easy out. Neat and tidy. Both left happy.
