Yeah. I am white belt, and a big guy and have rolled with black belts. Gordon was clearly not trying to submit him, but just giving him a bit of fun for his unlikely match up. If he was more skilled, Gordon probably would have played harder and trashed him quick. Guys with a shape like Gordon are deadly once they take the back of a big guy. I can toss lighter weight black belts off me when they play an arm bar all day long. In fact, I often encourage it because it's a good opportunity for me to stack pass and it's usually a low energy expenditure for me for a good positional improvement. But with the back taken, that rnc is just a matter of time. What saw here was Gordon evaluating early on that this guy was no threat and giving him a good fun ride until he burned out and then they both took the easy out. Neat and tidy. Both left happy.

It just may not have been in a tournament in front of hundreds of people....
