    Check strap is the word you were looking for Phil 😜, you need a heater in your unit, no wonder you have a constant cold mate.

    Phil, my lad has a dust allergy and was suffering like you. We bought an air purifier from Aldi which he has running on low setting next to the bed overnight and he’s much better.

    I had two of these from a dealer in Ashton under Lyne. One diesel on a 16 plate like this and then one 18 plate Hybrid.
    Really are good, robust, reliable and despite my initial qualms they did hold their value ☺️

    Nice looking car Phil. My wife has a four wheel drive version 71plate. Only has a one litre engine. Absolutely flies. Has every option. And it was cheap. Great reliable cars. 👍👍👍

    Might be better if you take the rear bumper off Phil then apply a weight to it, as for the tailgate it will depend if there's any structure behind the damage, apart from that work it should be a straightforward fix then.

    Could have been worth sending off the curtain airbag for repair? There are lots of companies that quite legally and safely replace the charge and refold and it’s cheaper than used ones. Either way worth investigating (as we don’t know how much you paid for the replacement) and doing when you take the old one out as you can resell it to recoup some build costs?
    Same for the seat. Just take it out and get it restitched (needs a specialist with the right “airbag” thread). Again likely cheaper than a “new” seat?

    • @SeriousAboutSalvage
      @SeriousAboutSalvage  ปีที่แล้ว

      The curtain airbag was £35 delivered which i thought was well worth it! The seat is £140, i have in the past gone down the route of getting seat airbags replaced on the more expensive ones, usually the airbags are around £100 but it's the repair on the seat that's the issue... There's a great company near Manchester that repair them back to factory finish but its about £150 just for the repair you still need to buy the airbag as well.

    Shame it's not an Allgrip since I'm looking for one in that colour/age/mileage. Worth £7/8k retail (if not Cat N/S). Others have already suggested electric heatgun - you can get them with adjustable temperature for not much, eg Lidl Parkside - more controllable and less messy than a kettle. I would have left the door mirror off so it gets painted underneath. I would see a GP (when they are less busy) if your symptoms persist so you can pin down the cause.

    Could the sniffs be from concrete dust from the floor? A lot to paint but might keep dust down? Or wood dust from next door if the units are connected? Poss an extractor fan to get the air moving to bring in fresh air. Good luck.
