I'm glad you have shown the disposable foil thingies. I make individual ones mostly and I leave them in the tins at the moment. Foil will be bettr but I looked and thought that they would be a bit fragile. Looks delicious.

I discovered your channel yesterday and today we made this recipe. Lidl had chicken on sale and I had some puff pastery I wanted to use. Of course when I got home I forgot the mushrooms. We used carrots instead. My youngest is quit picky so I let him help me stir and he was so proud. We used our Groniger mustard. We are from the north of the Netherlands, province of Groningen. Our mustard is sharp and rough but worked so well in this recipe. Needless so say it was a great succes!!! I will use more of your recipes. Of course I subcribed, 1 more to 70k. I made this recipe tonight. It was sooooo easy and so good! Thank you :) I changed one thing and made my pie dough for the crust. The store bought puff pastry in the US is made out of oils and not butter. I really don't care for it although I really like puffed pastry made with butter! I rolled my dough out thin and it worked really well! We will have this again.

Looks absolutely delicious Will pick up some puff pastry this weekend. The little pieces of dough left over my Mum would have smeared jam or sprinkled brown sugar on them and baked it along with the pie. Little treats for us after school.
This is a new favourite Cheryl (alongside the slow cooker beef pot roast, and your traditional lentil soup), except I swapped the mushrooms out for leeks and some ham or bacon, absolutely lush thank you 😃 I have a long list of your recipes to go at 😁 Suzy x
Got this pie in the oven right now. Can't wait! I used a 320g puff pastry sheet as well, had to do some right patchwork repairs to get the lattice made, I don't own a rolling pin either so it was lots of fun!

I have my granny's recipes and hers call for a 'teacup' full of milk and butter the size of a walnut. Love the measurements.

I use those kind of tins for my pies too. A wee tip for putting the pastry in them is use another tin on top top press the pastry in 😊
