Totally agree about the off-road steering- it’s perfect! To be honest, it’s good on tarmac too- planted and heavy just the way I like! Got tired of my 200 series’ twitchy steering😮
Fitting 35 inch wheels will present a problem in fowling the rear door and weight load on hinges. Can you buy a commercial version for overland conversions more easily ? Surley over landers will wrap it to protect the paintwork ?
@@Dirtboxoverland Do you mean the corners of the factory bumper are replaced? I thought on this model in the video the hoops mount to the factory corners.
Sorry I didn’t catch what tires and size you were running - interesting that you didn’t do a lift. A lot of discussion on the owners’ forum about blown front drive shafts for anyone with a lift. You see any issues with the new tires, since you didn’t do a lift?
Am not lifting my Gren at all, until I see the results of the USA lifts etc (already there are lift associated driveline issues). Would love a bit of extra height, but so far will just be going for 33’s.
Interesting your not rubbing with the 35’s buti expect that’s because you have the aftermarket bar. I have the factory bar with Maxxis razr 295/70r17 on factory steelies no lift yet and I get slight rubbing on front bar plastics on the outside tyre edge only when on full lock and full compression. Slight rubbing on on inner rear but that was resolved by pulling the inner trim back with a zip tie. It gets held out a bit but the fuel filler and adblue hoses
@@Dirtboxoverlandhow can I chat with you directly man? I live in Southern California, it is impossible to get a brand new Unimog here due to regulations, so I’ve been search around for a long time to get my hands on the best one possible…

Very impressive
Thank you!
Amazing work! Loved chatting with you at Expo Mtn West about all this. Curious, what your rear wiper doing?? 🤣
Split screen video is fantastic.
Hey...... that thing is looking BEEFY!!
@@elpatudo3670 are you ok?
Looking forward to your solution for a heavy bullbar that replaces the thin gauge front bumper steel
Our bumper is heavier gauge than the factory front bumper but it is not too thick that it will bend or break the factory bumper skin.

How about software bugs??? Do you have any? In Germany a lot of owners complain about software problems!
Love your videos guys. Curious if that is the MT or RT kenda tire?
These are the MT

I wonder if anyone is going to do portals for the Grenadier.
We may or may not be developing these behind the scenes... ;)
Is there any expectation that the diesel will be brought to the states?
We hope!
Never going to happen the EPA has the diesels in their sight. And if they did it would be so choked with emissions it would be worthless

How is the gearing with the 35” tire? Any front driveshaft angle issue?
All seems fine so far!
No issues so far for us . We are 35x12.50 bfg HD terrains.

Yea that could be! How are you liking the truck so far?
@@Dirtboxoverland I love it. Suits me down to the ground. Solid, capable and full of character. I can’t get enough of driving it.
Bitcoin up so I may just get this.
