Karate is the best martial art if practiced correctly
Mens Kata Results was disappointing!
The judges seemed to be swayed by the sub category of speed in athletic performance, when technical performance should way heavier in the judging results.
Unfortunately they got Male Kata results wrong.

Moto's perfect gankaku, and still didn't win WTF. The Turk swallowed half of the unsu's movements to "look" fast...
Moto is obviously awesome, but didn't look perfect. Very close match

@@jacopo.dainotto Kasumasa's gankaku is stronger and more complete than Valdesi's, I'm a fan of the Italian one, but the real kata without juggling is from the Japanese.

What the world needs to learn and take strongly into consideration is
WKF Karate Competition Rules.
5.7 Fouls
d) Use of audible cues (from any other person, including other team members) or theatrics such as stamping the feet, slapping the chest, arms, or karategi, ….. must be considered very serious fouls by the Judges in their evaluation of the performance of the kata - on the same level as one would penalize a temporary loss of balance.
My point being is that in the slow motion of Enes doing Unsu he uses his fist to slap his Gi.
Hikite resides on the side of the body and not the stomach . When on the floor to perform kick you clearly see him slapping the floor. His hand should make noise on the ground because of his body movement and not slapping to make a noise after or before the movement.
The video / Gankaku you say is better than Moto’s
If you go back and look Luca does the same thing, he slaps his Gi with his hikite hand on his stomach versus thrusting hand back to the side. This is technically wrong!
Lastly I must say to past and present Kata competitors . I respect the time, energy, devotion and years of training. To reach such level of kata performance is to be respected and they should all be applauded.

Tradition, you have to scream sometimes to demostrate power and courage, but the olympics indeed made some strange rules.
It's called kiai
No use of legs, always the same punch to the head, screaming and watching around. That's annoying
