Had one in 1995, Casio had 2 or 3 models, this one was the most expensive, This model could be programmed by holding the power button down and aiming the remote you want to copy at it with the button pressed. I copied the remote at school and would shut off the tv in the next classroom through the glass. The teachers could not figure out what was going on because I was in the next classroom. I think I paid about $130.00 for it.
From 1999 at Sembawang Shipyard in Singapore, the 1st my friend use it to ruins our tv programme at crew mess room LOL..everyone think its the most advanced invention on that time, here we are in 2019 this Casio CMD 40 still a magic tric to mess other tv 😂🤣🤦🏻♂️
Dean O sometimes it works sometimes it dont but I definitely wouldn't pay for what they ask for,rarely do I do it .. this one was bit extreme and from the asking price I could tell how much he knows about it and what he thought of me :) so I hit him hard and I knew I was the only one with the concrete offer

Hello, ive bought a casio cmd 40 TV remote watch! Its on the way to me. The seller said, that he tried to change the batterie by a keymaker/watchrepair store, but the watch dosnt turn on after battery replacemnet. Ive bought the watch anyways, because i think the watch is working, but they didnt knewed, that you have to short it with the ac and the battery. Am i right or this watch dosnt need to be shorted with the ac technique? Thanks! I mean is this wath fully funkcioning after you simple put in the battery or has the watch to be shorted?
@@edcwatches Ok, the wath arrived! Put a new battery in and it works(old battery was put in upside down...no wondern it didnt worked :)))) ) Everything works except the calculator touch pad. TV remote ect all is working but not the calculator. I had this before on another casio calculator watch, where ive replaced the battery and some kind of "black rubber/plastic" piece flew out of the watch housing. I didnt knewed how or where to place it and from there on the touch pad never responded anymore. Here on tis TV watch i hadnt seen this "black piece"! Should there be one? Or what else could be the problem, that the touch pad dont respond? Ive did the AC reset succesfully and the watch showed 12:00. Thanks

I did exactly the same thing! I had one, bought from Argos, that I wore to primary school with pride.
I just put a new battery in my dad’s and it works! Trying to program it to control my Vizio smart tv. RIP DAD

21 years with that watch and still works, got mine when i was 12.
I had this watch in 1996 I was like 13/14 year's old. This watch was a head of its time.
Same around the same time and still have it in mint condition. Will be replacing the battery very soon to use again.
Biggest issue I found with this watch was battery life
