Hi. Thanks for the great info. I’m a newer player who’s coming over from League, lots a different reasons why, and I need some help. What are the 2 to 3 Heros you would recommend, possibly for each role, for a newer trying to learn the game? Not looking for current OP flavor picks, just good general always viable picks for learning the game and the various roles. Thanks.
I've actually had this talk a lot recently on stream and I plan to release a "new player guide" of sorts soon, so stay tuned for that. Off the top of my head I'd say for starters you'd want to look at easy to pick up heroes as you learn the game. Muradin, Johanna for tanks are solid, Uther, Brightwing, Anduin for Healer. For Damage I'd focus more on ranged unless you are by nature an experienced melee player, I like Jaina, Valla, Raynor, Kael'thas, Greymane. For Bruisers I'd recommend Dehaka, Sonya or Leoric. I find these all not overly difficult to pick up at least and while they do have some higher skill to them for higher levels of play I find them easy to play. I do encourage you to stop by the stream if you have the opportunity as I have a lot of helpful people who can offer further assistance as well.
Anub'arak B tier on Alterac Pass, when he can take the obj by himself? Li-Ming B tier on BOE, when she is the best mage you can get there? (all you have to do is just poke enemy immortal and you are one tp away from your safe zone, also fights are very slow and enemies tend to have low hp, so one reset is enough to wipe out all of enemy team). S tier gaz on any map is just misunderstanding... Chromie S tier on cursed hollow when its the most dive heavy map, and you can be cought when rotating, chromie has no mobility whatsoever. "Hanamura is bad for mages", proceed to put chromie on S tier. And the last thing, the tierlists are not updated so it doesn't make sense to put them there, you should just tell people what tools are good on each map, that's a tip from me. GL in your games..
I probably could have left out the Tier List portion of the Videos because over time those will fall off a little bit. But one thing to keep in mind is the main objective for the tier list wasn't always exactly specific heroes, but more what sorts of heroes are good on the particular maps. Also a lot of these heroes are gonna be stronger at the lower ranks, which is gonna be what a majority of players will be playing at.
