THANK YOU for inviting me to your channel once again. It was a blast recording the reaction videos. 🙏🌻 I really hope we get to do more in the future. 😆 Also, I’m learning soooo much about the band members by reading the comments. Ah, Lovebites is AMAZING! 🥰
I’ve seen in the region of 50 reactions to this performance. In virtually every case, two things always happen. The second iteration of the chorus is when it grabs the reactor, not the first. The two solos followed by the millisecond perfect harmony is always watched with what appears to be breath held.
great reaction folks, please keep on reacting more Lovebites. You will not find a bad song from them. These ladies are world class talents and they deserve worldwide recognition
Miyako (the dark hair guitarist) was pregnant i think in 3 or 4 months and she took the stage by storm for the entire 2 hours show. She is a multi talent genius
They've never been to the US as a band, though both guitarists Midori and Miyako have appeared at NAMM individually. They just announced their new bassist a few weeks ago, and a few days ago they announced a new album "Judgement Day" to drop in February 2023, so there is hope for some live dates outside of Tokyo in the next year or two, hopefully including some US dates!
yes! I was pretty sure they have not been in the US, I would only assess this by the fact that I've never heard or seen any sort of announcement, I'm usually very well connected with what concerts are happening through apps and social media, believe me, if you show interest for a band, those apps shove the information in your face even when you don't want it, so I've never seen a Lovebites ad or email about them touring here, this is how I landed on that conclusion. believe me, I will NOT miss a LOVEBITES concert if and when they come here!
Your reaction was like my first exposure when I saw Holy War and those twin leads captivated me. You’re right about the time they practise.. they spend hours upon hours together at Miyako’s (brunette) home studio perfecting their synchronisation. If you dive deeper you’ll discover many facets and subtleties to their compositions. It’s an exciting time for the fandom (the Wolfpack) right now as they have just returned from a 15 month hiatus and announced their first studio album in 3 years, coming in February. Now is surely the time to discover Lovebites! I’m sure you’ll enjoy the ride
This concert was held in March 2021 mid-pandemic so there was heavy restrictions in place for the crowd, keep distance, no screams, no shouting, they could only clap!! Amazing band really, the musicianship level in this band is so high and yes Midori and Miyako constantly practice at each other's houses. They are so clean, precise note for note, incredible!! My favorite band since I have found them! I'd go see them live too. Trying to get a ticket for their show in March in Tokyo. I don't care that it would be ridiculous to go that far just for a concert, but I would for them. Maybe they will announce a few more regular dates as the one in March is very difficult to get tickets for. I'd also then see them when they came here, if they toured in the West this year. They're just amazing.

Miyako(Gt, black hair) chose to use a peavey6505Plus with orange cab〔 Orange PPC212 OB(Open Back Vintage) 〕and head to tighten the low frequencies and create a tight spread of sound in the midrange. Therefore, perhaps you could only hear sound from one of the earphones. Midori(Gt) profiled the peavey with a Kemper and chose to use a Marshall amp to give the sound more breadth. Miyako and Midori created a band ensemble.

They are the "white wolf pack" of the heavy metal world. Like a "pack of white she-lions," they will attack and hunt the hearts and minds of listeners who watch the live performance video. Once you are attacked, you will be captivated by LOVEBITES. The gap between their appearance and ability will captivate listeners. No other female guitarist can play solo or duel, but no other female guitarist can play in tight synchronized unison or harmony for more than 30~90 seconds as well as Miyako(Gt) & Midori(Gt) of LOVEBITES. The two guitarists are not only talented, but also play different types of feel music, which synchronizes their guitar playing in their solo performances, creating a continuous, non-monotonous guitar performance between them. Their guts and determination to not be afraid of failure in their twin shredders during live performances is based on their trust in each other. Of course, this is backed by Haruna(Dr)'s tireless, fast, and precise drumming and the long hours of stoic practice by all members. Vocally, Asami(Vo)'s e5 range will amaze anyone. Asami has a voice that can transform from ballads to thrash and power metal. Asami has vocal control. This is their formula.
@@BMR86 LOVEBITES, now with a new bassist "fami," will finally release its fourth original album "JUDGEMENT DAY" on February 22 (Wednesday) next year. The girls were on hiatus when band leader and founder, bassist Miho, left the band. P.S. You will be amazed by new bassist Fami's slapping and fast finger picking. If you watch "Alien Alien" on her TH-cam channel, which was uploaded 3 years ago with 10,330,000 listens on her content, you will be amazed at her world-class slapping skills. Fami is a five-string bassist who can dance, sing, and play, and boasts 658,000 TH-cam subscribers. Fami is 20 years old with a cute smile. She can also play rhythm guitar.
Please check out Golden Destination from Lovebites. One of their tracks where the bass gets to shine more than usual. And it's an excellent song to boot.
How a sound source (such as a guitar) sounds. This is my amateur opinion... The right guitar (Miyako) and the left guitar (Midore) can be clearly separated, which I think is a common feature of LOVEBITES CDs/DVDs. However, this may be a feeling limited to live recording sound sources. In general, I imagine that most CD/DVD production sites place the sound source close to the center so that the listener can hear the energy concentrated in front of them. However, in the case of live sound sources, I think that the emphasis is placed on having the listener enjoy the realism of the live venue, and the sound sources are intentionally arranged to give a strong sense of separation between the left and right sides. I don't know what the real situation is. However, I am satisfied with the current recording method, which allows me to strongly recognize the presence of Midori and Miyako who are working hard. (This kind of sound source balance feature may be one of the reasons why people say “LOVEBITES is more live than in the studio!”) ------------ from Nippon *It is a sentence using Google translation. I hope I conveyed my intentions correctly.
Thank you so much for your comment! you conveyed your idea perfectly! I really appreciate you translating your thoughts from Japanese to English so I can understand. I have to say I love your country! I saw what the Japanese soccer fans did recently after enjoying themselves at the stadium in the world cup cleaning after the game was over and carrying numerous trash bags to be disposed of, this is so admirable! every human around the world should be as considerate as the Japanese people are! your idea about the production being setup this way to lean the guitars to opposite ends seems highly likely! I like this idea, and yes that way we can surely appreciate what Midori and Miyako do individually on each guitar, I definitely enjoyed the sound this way and was able to pickup each other's style. Again thank you for your comment! Sore wa yorokobidatta!
Lovebites is a phenomenal band, one of the best and deserve so much more attention world wide. Please support the band, subscribe to their channel, and buy their merchandise.
It's not the crowds fault, they had severe restrictions. Masks, distancing, no cheering, assigned seats. They could stand and clap, but that was about it. Still, at least Japan was allowing shows, that's more than most.
If you carefully you will notice Miyako brunette lead player has flat shoes on as she was 5 1/2 months pregnant. What a warrior girl. also this was Covid gig so audience was asked to no chant along or yell out at conclusion of the song. Try this opener too please . You're right. No need to react to this as it's only 1:40, but Miyako and Midori at practice. You can tell this is at Miyako' house (dark hair) because those are her guitars on the wall. th-cam.com/video/02_IhyiKrTw/w-d-xo.html

Another all-female Japanese band that is better live than studio is Band-Maid. I don't see where you've reacted to them but, if not, the best starting point according to most Maidiacs is "Domination" live at Shibuya in 2020.
@@BMR86 Then at some point you should try Nemophila, another all-female Japanese band. They get heavier than Lovebites at times but are as technically proficient. Try "Dissension" MV (common intro to the band), "Oiran" live at Naon Yaon 2021, or "Adabana". Get some more Lovebites under your belt and you'll be ready for Nemophila.
Thanks for the reaction! I'm sorry...but at the beginning you said that LOVEBITES is dance music? 🙄 Or did it seem to me? 🤔 This is not a criticism, just a few facts : LOVEBITES is, first of all, heavy, power, thrash metal. They have songs that can be attributed to progressive metal, some songs have elements of symphonic metal, there are songs closer to hard rock. But not dance music. 🤭 LOVEBITES are the GODDESSES of heavy , power , thrash metal ! In 2018 , LOVEBITES won the prestigious Metal Hammer GOLDEN GODS Award for "Best New Band" (London,UK). This award was received by LOVEBITES as a metal band This concert took place on March 26, 2021. At the beginning of 2021, a new wave of Covid-19 began in Japan. A very tense situation was created, many people got sick, many died ! The Japanese government declared a state of emergency. The LOVEBITES concert tour was rescheduled from January 2021 to March - April 2021 and took place with mandatory anti-COVID safety measures: the hall was not completely filled (the number of viewers is limited, many people who wanted to get to the concert could not buy tickets) maintaining social distance between people, viewers must stay where they are, everyone is wearing masks, are not allowed to express their emotions loudly (shouting, sing ), only applause is allowed, etc. LOVEBITES risked their health during a concert that lasted 2 hours! Unlike the audience, they were not wearing masks. In addition, Miyako (brunette, Dean Guitars), whose calm expression you joked about, was 4 or 5 months pregnant !!! In August 2021, she gave birth to a baby. Please read the following text very carefully and thoughtfully...and imagine yourself in Miyako's place: - playing technically complex music (guitar, piano, keyboards), - performing backing vocals , - for 2 hours , 18 songs, - and this is already the third concert of the LOVEBITES tour in different cities, - while being 4 or 5 MONTHS PREGNANT, - during the Covid-19 pandemic, when you can get infected and infect the unborn baby..... And Miyako did a great job with her role! In terms of skill, the pregnant Miyako surpasses most male guitarists who are in good physical shape ! 🤗 Special THANKS 👍for watching the video TWO times in order to feel the song better!👍
Thank you so much for adding all this perspective! believe me, knowing all of this makes me respect and admire them even more! they are so incredibly talented! my gosh! glad you enjoyed the reaction my friend!
The joke amongst the Wolfpack is Miyako (the dark-haired guitarist/pianist) doesn't show much emotion, etc. because she's busy composing Lovebites' next song.
What an excellent review. It looks as theough you have been given a great set of songs to react to by fellow Wolfpack + the names of some other great Japanese bands, so I won't repeat those here. I look forward to seeing them. Having watched your detailed reaction to 'Glory To The World' (both parts) before watching this, maybe you and Strawberrick might like picking apart a MV by another artist named Dimash; he's from Kazakhstan and has a pretty amazing voice. The MV in question is 'The Story Of One Sky'. Prepare for an avalance of Dears if you start reacting to anything by him. All his vocal performances are amazing, starting with his Singer 2017 appearances, but this MV has a powerful message. It's in English, but there are subtitles if you find his accent a bit opaque. th-cam.com/video/1Psjws97FoA/w-d-xo.html
The audience would have been much wilder but they were under government issued restrictions due to the Covid pandemic, so they were not allowed to yell and cheer and had to stay apart from each other.
Sorry but I saw the thumbnail of the video, I entered the channel to do a search for Lovebites, the previous reaction was almost a year ago. I opened this video just to dislike and comment. I can't believe anything they say for a matter of simple logic. If they liked it the first time, why wait almost a year? It doesn't fit. Oh, the usual excuse, real life obligations. So why bother making a reaction channel that requires perseverance to achieve something? It doesn't fit either.
Thank you for your comment, I appreciate the feedback! I see her in person once a year and I prefer collabs where we sit side by side and not over a video call. We bother making these videos because it's fun for us and this channel isn't my day job to output as many videos as i would like to, but hey! stick around and help me grow the channel, maybe one day you'll see me post more consistently! Let's get there sooner 🤘🏻😎 💪🏼!

LOVEBITES - Set The World On Fire lyrics:
The blue moon colors the blaze
Stabbing myself with the thunder
The predetermined imitation
An emotionless and a fearless smile
Flowing blood and crimson blade
Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
Who’s going to be sacrificed?
ON FIRE
Just like a falling flower
ON FIRE
Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell
Distorted madness is sneering
Incompetent, cowardly fools
A pitiful and painful punishment
It’s you who will be sacrificed
ON FIRE
Dressed in an armor of steel
ON FIRE
If I’m burned again and again
I’ll rise up from the Gates of Hell
SOLO: midori / miyako / both
The blue moon colors blaze
Stabbing myself with the thunder
The predetermined imitation
An emotionless and fearless smile
SOLO: miyako
Flowing blood and crimson blade
Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
Who’s going to be sacrificed?
ON FIRE
Just like a falling flower
ON FIRE
Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell

LOVEBITES - Swan Song +Chopin Intro Five of a Kind, 21/02/2020 th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html If you thought the Brown haired guitarist Miyako was nonchalant you have to see her rip on the piano and the guitar in the same song.
thank you! I will check it out!
Their music videos are great, but their live performances are definitely better.😊
we know now watching this video! they are amazing!
Haruna "little BIG Engine" drums 🧡 (4'9"; 1.45m)
Asami "The One & Only Voice" vocals/piano ❤ (4'10"; 1.47m)
Midori "Crazy Shredder" guitar 💚 (4'11"; 1.5m)
Miyako "The Golden Touch" guitar/piano 💙 (5'2"; 1.58m)
this performance: Miho "Natural Born Head-Banger" bass 💜 (5'1"; 1.55m)
new: Fami bass (5'2"; 1.58m unconfirmed)

wow they are tiny! and pack so much punch!
This is their formula.
thank you for all that information!

LOVEBITES, now with a new bassist "fami," will finally release its fourth original album "JUDGEMENT DAY" on February 22 (Wednesday) next year.

LOVEBITES 🐺 INCREDIBLE
(This kind of sound source balance feature may be one of the reasons why people say “LOVEBITES is more live than in the studio!”)

Break The Wall, Swan Song from Zepp Diver City 2020
Lovebites is a phenomenal band, one of the best and deserve so much more attention world wide. Please support the band, subscribe to their channel, and buy their merchandise.
I will! just glad I'm shining my own miniscule light on them to keep spreading the word!
Here for my daily Lovebites fix 🐺
It's not the crowds fault, they had severe restrictions. Masks, distancing, no cheering, assigned seats. They could stand and clap, but that was about it. Still, at least Japan was allowing shows, that's more than most.
it's funny, throughout this whole viewing we did of this show, it never occured to us that we were watching a live show still during pandemic times!
If you carefully you will notice Miyako brunette lead player has flat shoes on as she was 5 1/2 months pregnant. What a warrior girl. also this was Covid gig so audience was asked to no chant along or yell out at conclusion of the song. Try this opener too please . Hammer of Wrath live >

I will check it out!
This band has no Peer.🤘🏾🤘🏾
Midori and Miyako are one of the best metal guitar duo’s today! 🤘🎸🔥🐺
and I believe it!
You're right. No need to react to this as it's only 1:40, but Miyako and Midori at practice. You can tell this is at Miyako' house (dark hair) because those are her guitars on the wall.
th-cam.com/video/02_IhyiKrTw/w-d-xo.html
The guitar player on stage left was 4 or 5 months pregnant during that tour…
I just found that out from you guys! that's amazing!
If you want to understand the SECRET of the UNIVERSE, LOVEBITES is the CLUE. The Universe is made of only 3 things : ENERGY, VIBRATION, FREQUENCY. Lovebites music compositions are same as the Universe - they are ENERGY VIBRATING at different MELODY HARMONICS of FREQUENCIES....
Hi guys, you are probably discovering and starting to know your new favourite band, they have tons of incredible and diverse stuff, believe me. Many years listening and playing many types of rock & metal and suddenly, these tiny killer women appear and change the rules of the game. The joke in this is that I'm not and I've never been a power metal fan... Greetings and congrats for your enjoyable reactions
❤️
I will not wait any longer to dig into their music!

I would have a face like that too when playing on stage as Miyako is pregnant and she is not wearing heels. Technically there are six on stage 😉😎🤟
Miho Miho Miho!
Beware of Dean shredding females that are 4 months pregnant 😱🤟🤟
creating another human being while shredding like a goddess at the same time, just WOW!
Please try "Swan Song" with the Chopin piano intro and see Miyako (Dark haired guitarist) going nuts at the piano. She is a classical trained pianist .th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html

My Lovebites 🏴 🐺 🤘
Midori & Miyako (LGs) practice together at +15% speed until they get it and then slow it down for performances ! 😁
that seems to be working!
Another all-female Japanese band that is better live than studio is Band-Maid. I don't see where you've reacted to them but, if not, the best starting point according to most Maidiacs is "Domination" live at Shibuya in 2020.
I love when you guys recommend more bands I have never heard of! I'll check them out!
@@BMR86 Then at some point you should try Nemophila, another all-female Japanese band. They get heavier than Lovebites at times but are as technically proficient. Try "Dissension" MV (common intro to the band), "Oiran" live at Naon Yaon 2021, or "Adabana". Get some more Lovebites under your belt and you'll be ready for Nemophila.
they will go to USA in 2024, search for time and location
they will be at ProgPowerUSA in Atlanta in September sadly I couldn't get tickets!
Thanks for the reaction! I'm sorry...but at the beginning you said that LOVEBITES is dance music? 🙄 Or did it seem to me? 🤔 This is not a criticism, just a few facts :
LOVEBITES is, first of all, heavy, power, thrash metal. They have songs that can be attributed to progressive metal, some songs have elements of symphonic metal, there are songs closer to hard rock. But not dance music. 🤭
LOVEBITES are the GODDESSES of heavy , power , thrash metal ! In 2018 , LOVEBITES won the prestigious Metal Hammer GOLDEN GODS Award for "Best New Band" (London,UK). This award was received by LOVEBITES as a metal band
This concert took place on March 26, 2021.
Please read the following text very carefully and thoughtfully...and imagine yourself in Miyako's place:
- playing technically complex music (guitar, piano, keyboards),
- performing backing vocals ,
- for 2 hours , 18 songs,
- and this is already the third concert of the LOVEBITES tour in different cities,
- while being 4 or 5 MONTHS PREGNANT,
- during the Covid-19 pandemic, when you can get infected and infect the unborn baby.....
And Miyako did a great job with her role! In terms of skill, the pregnant Miyako surpasses most male guitarists who are in good physical shape ! 🤗
Special THANKS 👍for watching the video TWO times in order to feel the song better!👍
Thank you so much for adding all this perspective! believe me, knowing all of this makes me respect and admire them even more! they are so incredibly talented! my gosh! glad you enjoyed the reaction my friend!
The joke amongst the Wolfpack is Miyako (the dark-haired guitarist/pianist) doesn't show much emotion, etc. because she's busy composing Lovebites' next song.
yeah that's funny lol!
Oh, yes! She is always cool but actually not just a guitarist. She is a great …wait and see her other performances!
The audience would have been much wilder but they were under government issued restrictions due to the Covid pandemic, so they were not allowed to yell and cheer and had to stay apart from each other.
yeah, that never occured to us while reacting to the show!
🤘😤🤘
This ladies dress as prom princesscan destroy any instruments in their path
it's funny because it's true! lol!
Great reaction guys pls watch HOLY WARS 2020 .
I will check that one out! thank you!
