I always wonder why this band isn't much better known. They are great artists on their instruments, Fuki's voice is sensational, whether live or in the studio, they have rousing songs and a captivating stage performance. Unlucky Morpheus is just awesome!!

Jill is actually my favorite member of Unlucky Morpheus. I consider her the best rock/jazz/metal violinist in the world today, and probably the best since Jean-Luc Ponty. After Shiren (founder, original lead guitarist) started suffering from an injury that limits his playing, they rewrote a lot of his solos for Jill. Hard to come up with another violinist who could pull that off. I uploaded in my channel an Unlucky Morpheus live video performing their song "The Tower of Blood" and Jill does a violin solo as intro for the song with some parts of classical music, you should check it out, it's one of my favorite song from UM. Fuki utilizes two different voices to sing that song, a lower tone for the "narrator" parts and a higher tone for when the character of the story is speaking (a vampire girl who lures people to her castle to feed on them)
another great band from the land of the rising sun. and "angreifer" (german for "attacker") is a excellent song. what an awesome vocalist (the one with the clear voice). and violonist they have. they all are so good.

I think at the end, he said they were delivering the final performance of a one-man tour that kicked off two months earlier. Then FUKI was saying they would play an acoustic (“akōstik”) song next. I sure would like to hear that.
As an Unlucky Morpheus fan, I am there for Jill and her incredible violin playing. I enjoy their music very much. I have never been a fan of distorted vocals (that's just the way it is), so I prefer songs with clean vocals, and Unlucky Morpheus has plenty of them.
Hearing the guy start "singing" I had to give up, I am reminded why I don't listen to this band. If there are songs with clean vocals, I would be interested in checking those out. I like the idea of the violin, East Of Eden is a good band with using one.
@@rodhamm8484 There are 5 or 6 violin covers by them that are just instrumentals. They go by Quadratum. A few songs with clean vocals would be Tower of Blood, Death Leaves Rising and Knight of Sword. There are about a dozen more that I know, but I still have a lot to hear yet. Hope this helps.

I'm not to particularly crazy about Fuki's voice and the main reason I love Unlucky Morpheus is Jill the violinist she is phenomenal simply because I love to listen to violinists and cellists as well as guitarists and bassists as well as drummers. I'm sorry but the screamo stuff isn't for me every time I go visit my two sons it's all they listen to, yikes!
