Why would I take less than? I'm glad they fired Greg but they're searching for another run scheme OC. So it becomes a lose lose cause Lamar admitted he's been wanted to throw the ball more then 26 times yet he's not been given that said chance.

If I am the Ravens I tell Lamar flat out....IDGAF about Watson. Not their fault the Browns' GM did a deal after 3 bottles of Chardonnay. There's only one guy in the entire league that deserves a fully guaranteed contract...and that is Mahomes. HE is worth twice as much as Lamar. And even HE stayed in reality and even took LESS....MUCH LESS...than his actual market value. Since Lamar is using other people's contracts to negotiate his own. BTW, the reason his passing is still average is because he is acting as his own agent.
He is worried more about the money issues an agent would handle...at the expense of improving his game. YES, it IS a HUGE distraction. Unless you think that all agents negotiate are player contracts with teams. They handle a ton of stuff, from endorsements to appearances, etc, etc. They SEEK OUT off-field opportunities for their clients. You really think Lamar can juggle that and playing effectively? I think not. YES, he was an MVP...but more for running...and less for passing.

Deshaun Watson's contract was an outlier. Watson also has as much playoff success, and better playoff stats than Jackson, while Watson played for a team with much less talent in Houston. Jackson also has an injury history that any GM would use against him in contract negotiations. As good of an athlete as Jackson is, no GM in their right mind would give him a fully guaranteed contract at signing. If Jackson could stay healthy, he would more than likely get every penny of a contract that isnt fully guaranteed at signing.

So now it’s Lamar’s mother fault that the team didn’t sign Lamar to a long term contract with a year left on his contract like most teams do except for the Cowboys, and we know what a dumpster fire that was and the Ravens do too. The Cowboys could have gotten Dak for cheaper than what they got if they had signed him with a year left on his contract. The Ravens could’ve gotten Lamar for what they allegedly offered had they Secured a long term deal with a year left on the rookie contract before price of the quarterback pay average had gone up to there it is now. Lamar need to demand a trade now after all of this disrespect, like them putting out rumors that they have concerns about his style of play when they set the style of play and installed running plays like he’s a running back. I can understand any team taking advantage of their quarterback’s running ability, but to turn around and blame your quarterback for it is shady.

The Ravens are suckers, they know that 1 MVP four years ago and a bunch of regular season wins isn't that goal, its Super Bowls. Lamar hasn't sniffed one and they won't with the type of cap hit he's asking for because every excuse I hear for them not winning with Lamar is that he needs more help and more help cost's money. Then there is the injury problems that come with a running back playing QB and two years in a row Lamar hasn't been available when it matters most (playoff time) because of it. The Ravens are a top notch franchise that develops their players and has high respect around the league, and they know that overpaying for Lamar would ruin their team. I actually agree with Acho on this one (typically I'm on the other side). It seems pretty straightforward - neither Lamar nor his mom have the knowledge or wealth of clients to get a deal done at the same level as an agent. It's no knock on them - how could they? They aren't professional agents. Sure, you can say "he's going to get his money no matter what" and that may be right. But exactly how much? What incentives are included? What conditions? Over how many years? Exactly how much guaranteed? What about the fine print? How much hardball can they play without getting offended? Do they know how to play hardball in the most effective way? The answer seems to be no, or the deal would already be done.

    • @garysmithjr2166
      @garysmithjr2166 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Yep and also a factor in this negotiation is the lack of talent on the o line and the receiving core is what lead to the injuries because lj8 is asked to do far more than any other qb with less talent/help around him while also at the time running a lil league offense. In fact it was the offense we ran when i was play lil league football. But with that scheme that greg roman used in buff and in san fran the plays were easy to remember and with the lack of help around him too many times he had to be super lj8... And thats what lead to those injuries... Oh yea and each time it was in the pocket. I said that to say they ask him to run like a RB and throw like the top 2 QB he is with no protection or help down field bcus dfenses knew to double team andrews and they aint got nobody else.... Why do these annalists think that Lamar deserves 240+ . Dak -bad contract, Deshon -bad contract, Murry -bad contract. You won't win a SB with Lamar so why pay him anything, just trade him & let some other team pay him & lose in the end of the year. Lamar is not Mahomes or Burrow or Allen so please don't pay him just trade him NOW.

The way they talk about this man you would think he’s the best quarterback in the league..I mean seriously lol it’s Lamar Jackson it’s Lamar Jackson…and what is that?! A mvp player 4 years ago who’s number have went down every year since winning..stop worrying about Baltimore..if he so good like y’all say someone else will play him..all they ever say is we failed him so why is the media pressing the ravens so hard to sign him back?! U said they never go him weapons?!he’s vastly overrated and I’m a ravens fan

Y'all mad because you have to do actual work in finding out the juice instead of having Why pay the middle man when you know your worth and you can negotiate for yourself. Btw, his mother is NOT his agent... He makes his own decision, shocking I know. Welcome to the new age 😂😂😂

It's not personal its Business. There are General Mgr in the NFL that refuse to pay exorbitant prices on player's whom they feel they can either replace or they think the player benefited from their schemes. The Seahawks, Steelers, Rams, Vikings, Patriots, and Saints refuse to be hamstrung by any one player that would place his wants over the team. I wish Pete Carroll would hand over those two first rd picks to Ravens and pay Lamar his salary but Pete wouldn't do that its team first mentality.

Wish the media STOP 🛑 with this promotion of agents!!!!! If Lamar is doing his own deal then he will get exactly what HE wants regardless of what anyone else thinks!!!!!!!!! Stop stop stop with this agent stuff I couldn't get pass the first take without turning this OFF.

Lamar should leave, PERIOD. Like he said they made Flacco the richest qb and now they won't pay Lamar. They trippin. Lamar should go to Washington and let EB turn him into a mini Mahomes.

Acho could solve California's energy crisis if his blind belief could be converted to energy.
He kept saying he believed Lamar could make more money with an agent but any time he was pushed on it, he had absolutely no reason for his belief. Everybody else is giving their analysis and his response over and over again was "but I think you're wrong because I believe an agent would get him more money." And just left it there.
Idiot just really likes to hear himself talk.

Please dont compare Wilson money with Lamar, Wilson have a SuperBowl, Qb without SuperBowl shouldn't be paid that much. The market is damage.

Him wanting 200+ guaranteed is stupid. Y’all gotta stop acting out of pocket.
Ravens know his injury history better than anyone and he has not earned more than Russ.

You cannot in one sentence say the Deshaun Watson deal is an outlier and then the next sentence say Lamar deserves more. So which is it? Is the Watson deal an outlier that will not be repeated or is it the new standard?

Lamar has his mom pretending to be an agent. That's as dumb as having your plumber cousin act as your lawyer. Other than that brain dead move I'm on Lamar's side. Pay him or trade him. Discount time is over.

Allowing Roman and Saunders incompetence to flourish is the root of the problem. Accountability and fixing is the answer.
