Retractable screen would also keep the screen alive longer. Always exposed means more wear and tear. Being able to retract the screen would keep the screen protected when not in use. Also if you run the Geo Thermal through the fireplace stone wall you can turn the whole thing into a radiant heater.

I could rescreen the whole thing in less than 2 hours. Idk what it costs up there but in Tampa we charge around 2 dollars a square foot to rescreen.
