I was sexually abused by my stepdad and he was arrested for it and he was taken into the detention facility for a while because they didn’t have enough evidence, and I was so upset and happy that he was arrested for this, I thank my family so much for helping me out with this, my mom saw some videos of me and told me that she had to send it to the police and went to the house to arrest him for it, I was so happy and angry at him for doing this to me and I don’t want him in my life ever ever again, thank you for posting this video of family vs. abusive husband shooter, I really appreciate it.

Eerily similar to a situation in Orangeville Ontario in the 90's. A dad had his kids for the weekend, his wife left the "shelter" to go to their home to talk to him and to bring her children back to the shelter with her. She told the staff that if she wasn't back by a certain time to call the police. By the time the police got to their house (just outside of town) the husband/father had shot his wife, all the children, set the house on fire, and then shot himself. Absolutely tragic!!

Canada's legal system is indeed a joke. Under the Trudeau Liberals the legal system believes a loser like this man can be 'rehabilitated', and will give him EVERY chance, including early release. It wouldn't surprise me if this loser restarted his criminal behavior once he was released, because people like him will often seek revenge against those who sent him to prison.

He never went to a doctor for it and threatened us to not tell anyone what went on in our house. His son from a previous marriage was even more mental, and my mom finally got us out of the picture when the son threatened to kill us kids. Weirdly, my dad didn't argue when we left because he knew his son was crazy enough to follow through on it.

My dad is scarily a lot like this guy, though he didn't hit me or my brother often. He did hit my mom and even locked her in a closet once. I asked my mom a lot of times why she never left him, and she said he would've taken me and my brother and make sure she never saw us again, you have to realize back then, the courts ENFORCED men to have at least visitation rights to their children, no matter how bad the husband was. Unsupervised, too...
It was a lot harder to leave a man and make sure you and your kids were safe from an abusive husband back then. That's why she was so worried about the children and didn't leave asap.

    • @mrs.horton5998

Hey, "back then" my mother was abused too, but if she had any common sense she should have just run. Being a victim helps nothing. Your mom was weak and so was mine. The difference is that I don't make excuses for it. I think some women like it. My mom liked the attention she got after a beating. Haven't seen her in 22 years and it still has been too soon!

You have to understand that laws were different back then and that's probably the maximum penalty. Don't blame the courts for this because that's probably all they can do. The 90s sucked for courts and laws.
