This looks like a real blast. Great theme for a miniature game. I am loving games with a purpose built solo mode at the moment. Horizon Wars: Zero Dark is the best I have played so far.
It's very fitting that the cop character shows up at the last second to see what's up only to immediately get killed in front of everyone. That's some perfect movie trope there.
Looking forward to this. I ordered my starter set and an additional killer last week and this video only further solidified my decision to buy. BSS has done a great job making this so thematic.
Ranger Sandy - the hero they needed! I love how this game played out, especially with the tropey way the responsible adult gets jumped as soon as they try to warn the kids. And obviously Barbrady drove up with Sandy, got out of the car first and promptly disappeared.. presumed dead until his late game appearance! I sure hope Black Site Studios use some of their other sci-fi minis to do a.. er.. Sci-fi horror expansion. On a space ship of some kind, with an... Alien?
This game has been on my radar for a while now. I love the expansions that give you other slashers... especially the one that looks like John Carpenter's The Thing. The VHS case is awesome. Will have to pick this up in the future. Right now, I have marines to recruit and aliens to blast.
Lol where was the camp site !?? In central park !? ... 5 cars drive by for them to wave down in no time !! 🤣 .... good stuff where is that portiloo from btw ?? 🤔
I've got the new hardback book. I wish this game still had a box set like this. Even if they have to replace the minis with tokens. It would make getting into this game easier.
Just curious, where did you get all of those trees from? I would love to make some terrain similar to this for my games of Don't Look Back and Star Wars Legion
Just ordered this game, and an expansion pack. I've been out of tabletop games for years, but with how crappy the video game industry is, this and Battletech are where my attention is going.
Does Barbrady/Farva at all ask for a "litre of cola"? I have had this game bookmarked for awhile now, and just haven't pulled the trigger to other game investments. Made up that you put this out - cheers!
Were terror tokens supposed to be added every activation as per the mounting terror plot special rule? That would have shake things up quite a bit here!
Clicked super fast to watch this, and then went to check out the website. It doesn't look like you can purchase JUST the rules alone, that's an utter burn. I get what the company is doing though to make money.
When this first came out last fall, the core set included the large house and other scatter, which made it both expensive and prohibitively expensive to ship overseas. After getting feedback, they released in late spring the current core set without the heavy terrain. So who knows, if enough people contact them, they might realize they can on-sell their minis and terrain better if they release the rules in pdf. PS - their main interactive site is their Facebook page, not BGG.
@@paulaceto6492 I just Googled and went to the main company page where they are selling. Also at a scant 32 pages for rules I get why selling it solo might not be feasible. With so many minis available for any genre I could buy the pdf and nothing else from them directly.
Hi all! Part of what I envisioned for the game was a complete experience out of the box. I was really inspired by the box games and togetherness from my gaming in the 90s :)
@@sertiss The rules man himself? Any plans for a pvp mode, kinda like Dead By Daylight or other asymetrical horror games? Would love to see a way for someone to actually play as a the killer and someone else as a "victim".
My favourite gimmick is the the VHS case.
My partner LOVES horror movies. This seems like a cool thing for us to do together.
Talk about a nerdy date night, huh? 🤣
Did y’all like it? My son loves 80s horror movies
@@dmwiggy7661 It wasn't EXACTLY for us. But, Ash has several videos to show the whole game to really get into the details and nitty gritty
The scatter token nesting in the movement widget is a bit of brilliant punch board layout!

The psycho movement is a good mechanic. Popping up everywhere just like in the movies.

They have a "Grey" expansion already....
@@KrisHyre Thanks!
Great painted minis! Really loving this game!
What a lot of fun! Thanks for the Let’s Play Ash
I love this game, it has taken a lot of my money! Glad to see you covering it here Ash!
Lol I love the VHS container !!
Round 10, perfect timing for a supporting character to show up. The ending was classic.
This looks like a good gateway game. Cool.

Been super stoked to see this.
Thank you for putting this up! I've been interested in this for awhile and was hoping you'd do a video on it!
Turn 10 :
Farva: I want a god damn liter of cola!
Killer: Turns Farva to pulp
Excellent! This looks really cool! I think I'm going to give this one a whirl.
That was a lot of fun. Thanks Ash.

Flickering light mechanic would be fun to represent with an LED in the terrain
OMG it's here!
Officer Barbrady: Hey! What are you kids doin'?! ... BLEH!!!
Great, now that you painted up "Rod Farva" I want all the Supertroopers for the game!!! Eh, screw it, I'm going to go watch the movie again...

I love seeing these solo play game options! :O
what scale are the miniatures? I am painting some of the 100s of zombicide minis I have and wonder if I could use them in this.
28mm so you should be fine!
Dang this looks way different than the core box I got back when it first came out. 🤣
I haven't seen the gameplay yet and I'm ordering this game. Lol.
Love the look of this.
What would you prefer? Dont look back oor Perilous-Tales?
Are they different enough for you?
I just ordered a Grizzly bear figure and well.... its going to be fun in the woods very soon....!!
Hooh! Ranger Sandy and the others better have a memorial for the officer. That was very close.
Very enjoyable gameplay! Wish there was a Freddy Krueger version.
Great video and great game!
Just curious, where did you get all of those trees from? I would love to make some terrain similar to this for my games of Don't Look Back and Star Wars Legion
is there a difference i got the base game and not the preoder, it just looks fun and i cant wait to play.
I love 80s slasher movies. I have a mighty need!
Very cool game
28:30 A "hiker" hiding in the bushes beside a teenagers' camp? More like a Peeping-Tom.
Hope we get more for Halloween

Does the game include rules for making your own custom heroes, or is it just the ones supplied?
Just the named ones at the moment; but you could easily re-skin the ‘themes’
so far no official custom character rules. hopefully thats coming

Excellent fun, poor Officer Barbrady - he'd have been fine if it hadn't have been for those pesky kids (and a psycho with a axe).
Were terror tokens supposed to be added every activation as per the mounting terror plot special rule? That would have shake things up quite a bit here!
This is great. Does anyone know where this terrain is from?!
is this the set that is available on their website right now? It seems they have changed the set. thnks
Where did y’all get the little tents?
TT Combat!
I bought this and there were no weapon or item cards, and no event cards either, where did you get those from?
BSS sells them under Don't Look Back Upgrades on their website.
@@SynthCat_Miniature_Games Just bought them. Sold a kidney to pay for the postage.
So if anyone liked Dead By Daylight, but wanted it on tabletop, your wishes have been granted.
What scale are those trucks?
I thought you only did one jump scare per turn? Is it every time you go by area terrain?
Once per character activation if they move near terrain
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames well I stand corrected! Thanks Ash!
I need this game even if we only play it once a year I want it
This is a cool game.
anyone know where the tents he used here come from?
TT Combat!
Interesting!
Anywhere I can buy this in the EU?
I hope you can
Where do you get your terrain from?
Just bought it…. 😀
Thanks for the support!
Anybody living in the UK Black site will post the game to you and the cost in total is about £15.
I never clicked on a video so fast lol
Anybody here knows about this game’s a availability in Latin America? I have a very strong desire to buy this game now.
