honestly probably the most talented guy to come to nashville in a long time.. can play, hell of a writer, and a great voice. and he's original as hell. and it all seems so effortless for him.. glad this guy made it..
Man... I gotta hand it to you @Hardy. Its been a really long time since you hear a song you like on the radio, and find out that the artist sounds just as good if not better live, than on a produced record. Talented artists have become lost and forgotten in such a digitally manipulated era. This made my day.
We got pregnant when my girlfriend (now Wife) was 19 I can relate to this every word it was scary times my daughter is twelve now I won’t trade her for anything I’m glad we had her. Great song Hardy keep the hits coming thanks for make REAL music we need more of this these days.
Does anyone know what chord shapes he’s playing? From what I can see it sounds like the guitar is tuned down a half step, the first chord is clearly a b minor, I think it’s some variation of a g after that but I can’t tell what he’s fretting.
The chords to the record is open. Bm D G D. He is playing it in a different key here. And yes he always has some funky tuning. I don't believe it is just half down and dropped. Them chord shapes look very strange and with a capo, the tuning is odd for sure.
Yeah he is using the chords Bm D G. His guitar is tuned to Drop C# tuning which is (C# G# C# F# A# D#). It essentially is tuning down every string a half step except the thickest one which will be tuned down a step and a half.
What are the chord shapes in drop C# and capo on 3rd fret like he is playing in the video. I can get close but not spot on. Seems simple until I start playing with the recording and something is off
Man these acoustic sessions are better then the studio version
Couple years later its still fire. This version in particular.

Great singing, loved the song
First time to hear this song, and I’m blown away! Such great lyrics; beautiful song about redemption! Great performance Hardy!
Best version of the song in my opinion

Hardy is my favorite band and this is my favorite song🥰
So underrated.
So good live!
Does he write his own songs? Man this song is lyrically fantastic and the rhyme scheme is awesome.
He writes a ton of the songs you hear on radio as well as his own. Writes boat loads for / with Morgan Wallen and most anyone popular right now.
@@RandyBadour wrote gods country
Yeah man, Sand in my Boots too! 👍🤘
This is awesome, great performance my man! Was this recorded pre or post pandemic?
It was just a few weeks ago. Thanks for checking it out. Good stuff!
Anyone know the tuning and chords for this awesome song? I see the capo on the 3rd fret bit it sounds tuned down.
Looks like he’s using / (slash chords). Those are ones with root in the bass changed.
pitch corrected. but still awesome
