Hi! About recording just the AUX track on ones session, I had forgotten how to do that ( Now that my mix engineers do that ) and was searching all over the place with no results! But came by your channel and there it was! Thank you so much. You must be already knowing this, but if not... In case you are just noodling around and not recording it, not remembering what you played, Press Shift and R and the MIDI file is there on the track. Note! It does not have a history but just last played. Logic Pro!
Thanks for the video. I figured out the the creating a track from the channel strip method already. The issue I'm having is this. I do all of my composition and arranging using MIDI, and then I export all the tracks as .wav , and create a new project importing the track-outs to do the mixing and minor editing. I do all the FX and sound design on the MIDI tracks first. I found this to be the most efficient way to reserve CPU usage as I tend to use a lot of FX in most of my projects. As another means to conserve, I started creating aux channels for certain FX so that I could use the same FX on multiple instrument tracks, as well as being able to adjust the amount of any FX on any given instrument. ( Common Practice I know) . The issue is, that the exported aux tracks contain ALL of the instruments that are using the send.. I'm trying to figure out how to export the individual instrument MIDI tracks as .wav with the FX so that I can mix them properly, it's tough to do when they are all consolidated to one track. It kind of defeats the purpose of using a send, if I have to create separate AUX tracks for every instrument anyway, haha. Do you ( or anyone) , know how to do this?
I’ll have to think this over. The obvious (but tedious) choice is to solo the track and their respective aux tracks but that could take sometime. The quick option is probably using a program like Auto-Bounce which I cover on my other channel @ThatLogicProGuy - hope that helps mate!
Hey did you ever find an answer to this? I'm stumped at this too 😂 I've asked various people with no luck... However you've put it into better words than I ever could've 🙌🏼
Outstanding! Love your music too! Would love to collaborate with you! Thanks for being so succinct and NOT wasting time getting to the point! (TH-cam's way you tell them what you're going to tell them wasting 3 minutes of time, then move on to talking about other stuff blah blah blah, then FINALLY getting to the point!) THANK YOU for NOT doing that!!! I will be using this video as reference. Moving from Protools (a totally different environment than Logic Pro) there is a bit of a learning curve. Stuff doesn't work the same way at all!! Thanks again!
I would bounce the project for this case usage. Alternately, you could also bring the auxiliary Tracks) into the Tracks area and then select all the tracks (including auxes) to export. Hope that helps.
I have multiple busses and I am trying to do the create region bounce in placed method, however, my bounced track is way quieter and distorted. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
@@_TheModernCreative Thank you so much for the quick reply, I gave the video a like and subscribed. For whatever reason, when I was trying to create that MIDI region and bounce regions in place, it was giving me the issue described above. Based off your reply, I synced up my bounce settings to match my recording settings and just bounced it right into my desktop and somehow that worked and it sounds just like the original. Idk why this worked (I'm new to DAW's) but it did. Thanks so much!!
@@_TheModernCreative It is work. But how export the busses in the mix together as one audio file, with the tracks in the track area. I mean, the different method you have after all different tracks audio. How export all effects in one, if I can, Thanks!
I think you would just run the same process but Shift+select those tracks or you can route all the Fx busses into another MASTER Fx bus and do it that way. Hope that helps Boris👍👍👍
@@_TheModernCreative I tried, the first method. Is exporting the same numbers of tracks selected, even doing_All tracks as Audio File_. I will check how exporting different track in only one single. Thanks a lot anyway, have channels strips as audio file is so useful.
If I wish to apply the same reverb to 50 different tracks, can all channels be set to that channel and AUX 1? Mine are set to BUS 1, AUX 1- or do all the channels need to have a different AUX channel for all 50 tracks (Im recording and editing samples). Goal is to output the same reverb to all 50 samples- when I control click, it says CREATE NEW VCA, NOT CREATE NEW TRACK- How do I fix this?
What’s up Gary. Not sure if I am understanding you correctly. If you assign 50 busses to the same output, you will get them all if you follow the steps in this vid. In terms of Create New Track that can be found in the Mixer. Key command should be ctrl+t or ctrl+n. Hope that helps mate. Happy new year!
when I bounce my songs in logic pro with aux effects, I don't need to do any of that. My bounced tracks capture the aux reverb. Why is my logic able to do that, and everyone else's version is not?
@@_TheModernCreative , there are people claiming you cannot bounce a project without doing the same thing as you are claiming, and for me, I don't need to do that.
.... Nice Vid...:) !!! By the way.... If you want to quickly bounce in place a track stack .... all you have to do is unfold it... and then insert a midi region over the length you want to have it bounced ... and then hit your bounce-in-place shortcut ... done ... peace hugs kisses love, etc ... cheers :)
Should have added that to the vid👍🔥🤩🎉 - do you find that it sounds different than the original? I’ve tried similar approaches but never got a consistent result. Appreciate you @interesting1563
Sweet explanation. Right to the point with clarity. Say I have 10 tracks routed assigned to a Bus-> Aux. Can I export all 10 tracks individually, with my Send bus fx, ithout having to solo (actually mute all tracks except the one I want) along with the Aux track I made? If not, might as well just bounce the project for each track no?
Hi there. It’s a little challenging to grasp what you are after but make sure that you take your offices and bring them into the Tracks) area. This will give you more power and flexibility when selecting Tracks and exporting. Hope this helps.
@@_TheModernCreativeoh wait, i actually figured it out. I just realised i wasnt clicking on the bus but rather, the main track itself Thank you so much!

This isn’t working for me. Method 2 gives me an audio file with no audio
Or very very quiet audio
Try raising up the gain in the region inspector if it’s an audio file or use a Gain plug-in to increase the overall loudness before rendering.
When i do control T, it doesn't work!
Do you see the aux track in the mixer? Right click or ctrl click that

Great job mate 👍🏻 but Logic needs to make this stuff a lot better and easier tbh .
So right. Almost feels like there is 2 levels. There is the surface level Logic Pro and the super deep intricate stuff as well. Have a solid day!
Why can’t you just click an options when exporting menu including the all auxs and buses ffs I sent a whole project with no efx ffs 🤦🏻♂️
How would anyone know this ffs 🤦🏻♂️
I love logic ! But sometimes 😢
