TO ANYONE WHO FOUND THIS VIDEO WHILE TRYING TO CHANGE A TIRE: Anything involving the motor plate and motor assembly is unnecessary. The tire and/or inner tube can be replaced without touching the motor or its covering plate.
@@melissamartinez4575 yes you can! All you need is to remove the entire front wheel, pry off the tubing + tire, and install the new ones. BE AWARE that inner tubes designed for the Xiaomi M365 are incompatible with GOTRAX tires, and will pop during installation or inflation. I’d suggest saving yourself the headache by getting “Honeycomb” (airless) tires as a replacement.
@@davidrojas7909 you must remove the outer case in order to access the tire. You don’t need to remove the plate in order to access the tire if you have a tire pry tool designed for bicycles.
@@lorddarrington2141 Hey! Did you get honeycomb tires yourself? If so could you provide a link or description of which ones I can get for a XR Ultra Gotrax scooter?
two problems: over torque small bolts with fine treads along with allen head, which isn't great with torque to begin with, other is that thread lock was used which makes it that much worst. Now if they were torque proper but with thread lock it will still might have problems cause of the small size allen bolt/thread
My front tire is flat. I have a GXL v2, but its the same as the gotrax xr and elite. Could you make a video on how to remove the motor from the tire? And how to properly install a tire tube & tire on the motor, thanks for this video btw!
@@DaBinChe found it at home depot its the 12mm length, not ten, just to clarify for anyone who needs the screws, mine fell out and these were a simple fix, the motor still seems a bit of friction but it runs
Honey comb type tires just don't perform well compared to pneumatic tires. Try Stan's no-tube latex in the tubes. They are the best sealant on the market for mtb and what I use in all my scooter tires besides my mountain bikes.
@@DaBinChe oh yeah? I have a set arriving tomorrow, what's the biggest difference? I'm guessing the shock absorption? I don't know what it is about this scooter or it's just the roads I ride on, but about every 6 scooter rides I'll have a flat. How would I access the tire without taking the case off?
Hi! My front tire which has the motor isn’t holding air. Can I replace the tire and inner tube without replacing the whole motor?

I watched this entire video just to realize that it comes with a valve extender. Thank you for reminding me, that actually fixed my problem! lol
Thanks so much. My connection cable was damaged because I placed the washer behind the nut after changing front tire.
Thank you for saying the name of the tools you are using
is there a way to speed up these gotrax scooter?
My front tire barely moves it’s fully charged the back moves fine anyway to fix or did this happen to anyone. It wont even work
These things are expensive and made horribly. Every Allen head was stripped and I had to force a square head into it to get it out!!

depending on size of puncture, put in some Stan's No Tube and that will seal it up, or Slime.
@@DaBinChe i think im gonan end up going with honey comb solid tires. To avoid worrying about flats in the future haha

@dabinche please leave the link for the second video
Man talked about locktight for so long
I just watch this whole video to the end and the motor plate didn't come off
you didn't mention the size of tube and tyre
size is on the tire
🤦
The go trax comes with an adapter for the air pump you dont need to shave down any metal did you lose it ?
It does come with an adapter but that adapter doesn't work with a compressor chuck
What do i do if i striped it and my allen key wont fit
drill it out
where can i get those screws?
hardware store, ACE Hardware, has the most options

If I recall correctly they are 3mm, or 2.5mm

I've had 2 of these scooters and have replaced 5 wheels. 5 times my wheel popped...do yourself a favor, and get honeycomb tires.
