Greetings from Georgia ! I remember the hot summer nights in the upstairs grand bedroom with my brothers growin up … when it was tooo hot we slept in the basement ( those were the days) . When the steel mills closed in Youngstown ( depressed that whole area ) Went to Houston Texas n worked construction , small cheap apt . barely had air. Old elcamino never had it .. but I was young n it didn’t bother me cause I guess I was always hot . Now as old guy I can’t stand to be out side in this heat in the afternoons . I got to say : ‘those stockmans are gems.’ I gave my dad a SCHRADE Uncle Henry 897 back in the early 1980’s , right b/4 he died in 2020 he handed it back to me . I know he carried it some but the blades don’t look like they have been used . Had dirt n small amount of tarnish in and on outside . But blades were immaculate ! I guess the Schrade plus stainless really did a good job .. my old 197 old timer from that day shure was hard to keep the tarnish off the blade and I was very picky about my tools n knives . I polished my Klein side cutters too! U bet they were engraved with my name. (Co workers had poor memory when they handled others tools.) We are still in our first house 38 years ( got the girls out of college dept free though) . Saw a lot of neighbors come and go.. kids with her hot rods , Idiots with their loud music and parties, and occasional domestic… I called in to the sheriff on the last two… not all the time… but. I pray and send good thoughts your way for your handling on that. With our circumstances, it was always just for short season sort of like a two-year-old they say : ‘the terrible twos.. it’s here and gone ‘.. but of course it’s terrible during that time. I have been enjoying your old stuff on utube on my hot afternoon breaks ! Keep up the great work! There was a rock station in Houston that did a two for Tuesdays… two songs from same artist… I’m headed over to the radio to put some not so loud rock on and grab that knife of Dads out of my wife’s china cabinet.. ( thankfully on her own ; she got rid all her China - I think we used it twice)( her being the supportive wife : my knife display now). And give it a drop of oil and a handling.
I think stockmans are pretty good carry knives even when I prefer a 1 or 2 blade jack normally. Nice looking knives Pete you have an impressive collection.

Three more killer knives today! I love all the various Stockman in the roughly 4" size. They are just right to put in a slip and drop in a pocket.
