I once again thank you for this opportunity to take this course. I'm learning way more than anticipated, and it's a little overwhelming due to my severe lack of knowledge in this area. But I'm gonna get it.
I’ve witnessed a few premium bottles opened with our dinner parties. Host offered what remained in bottle to sommelier as a tip for his help to decant for the table. Is that typical?? 1st time was Vintage Château Margaux Margaux
What about any chemicals/taste in the decanter? It has a lot more surface area so surely if you needed to clear that out of the glasses then the decanter would've had more of a problem with it. But I guess it's just for show/tradition these days anyway.

Absolutely. I have tasted some great wines this way
I have a question to ask you.
When serving drinks to two couples as per food and beverage standard, who do you serve first and why
The ladies are always first! So you start with anyone of the ladies, move to the next one and then serve the gents! This is the LQA standart!
What if the sediments or deposits drop into the decanter mistakenly
If it is just a little bit, it is not such a big deal. If it is a lot...take another bottle

Actually, after cleening the glasses, you should do the decanter as well. This is correct
What's the function or the work of the candle
So you can see through the bottle when the deposit starts to flow
Do you taste the wine in front of the guest?
Only in special ocasions. If it is a normal bottle of wine, you let the guest taste it.
Somelie with a past
