DOOM's album with danger mouse - Danger doom is one of the best and features alot of adult swim cartoons....Operation Doomsday is the classic DOOM album too.
@@User2637dsk theyre at the bottom of my list of DOOM albums IMO but I still love them but I think vaudeville villain, mm food, and king geedorah are better
This album came out at a super creative time for Hip Hop, labels like Stones Throw, Rawkus, Fondle Em, Def Jux, Duck Down, Eastern Conference, Rhymesayers, Project Blowed, Low Life, were all releasing fire, it was easier for independent artists to make a good living off their music then.
Y’all gotta listen to “DANGER DOOM.” It was literally influenced by Adult Swim cartoons. They even played snidbits of Dangermouse’s beats going into commercial breaks.
In Fancy Clown, it’s probable the person who took his (Viktor Vaughn’s) girl was the “tin face” (MF DOOM) he’s talking about in the beginning of the song
The production on this album is crazy so unique which fits perfectly with Dooms flow and rhyme patterns. Also side note, Doom was born in London so technically he's a UK MC 🤣🤔
yeah and because of that he was refused reentry to the usa because i think he was never a US citizen. so he spent his final couple of years in the uk (Leeds). Biden used a song of his in a campaign and he sued the campaign for using his song yet not letting him come back separating him from his wife and kids. gone too soon
doom was the greatest. facts. a true genius, an artist, and not just making money but producing art. every collab he did was incredible, czarface, JJ doom, madvillian, nehruvian doom and his solo stuff, vicktor vaughn etc. i recommend the JJ doom 'Keys to the kuff' album; showing love to his UK roots with damon albarn (blur and gorillaz) and a radiohead track. when he died he was living in my hometown, leeds, and i didn't even realise he was there. from then on, every halloween is doomsday.
Doom brings joy to my day. His tunes liven things up. They never make me rage, they never make me sad. Always on the up. Man I can’t say that about a lot of things in life
Always remember that MF DOOM saw hip hop as work, and he never listened to hip hop out side of his work, other music styles he listened to as person, but that's why he got down cause he wasn't apart of the main stream and there fads.
Her's a fun fact about Great Day. The sample is a slowed down Stevie Wonder solo Madlib before Madvillany had a jazz band called Yesterday's New Quintet. All the parts were done by Madlib like Quasimoto he played everything. He had a album of Stevie Wonder covers, so he was well versed at what to pick. Man is a musical geinus. He eventually stopped rapping and now produces full time.
@@-lasagna Was going to post that same thing. Don't get me wrong, its good but It's at best 4th in his discog, and that's being generous. Personally 5th or 6th for me
If you watched Space Ghost Coast to Coast you gotta check out DangerDOOM - Space Ho’s and the Madlib remix, which was on an EP with Talib Kweli. Danger Mouse’s version is focused on the show and Madlib’s is comedy
My favorite MF DOOM album is all of them, Vaude Ville Villainy both albums, Born Like This, JJ DOOM, King Gheedorah, Take me to your leader, MM FOOD..... Danger DOOM
They toured this album and saw them in Toronto. Performed this album, DOOM performed some of his solo shit, Madlib did some of his solo shit THEN, last minute, DILLA was added to the bill and he performed some solo shit and then him and Madlib did the Jaylib album!! And to finish the night out, Madlib jumped on the drums and just started wildin’ out while everyone was leaving! It was one of the most epic concerts I’ve ever been to!!! Great reaction boys! Fancy clown is DOOM playing alongside his alliases; thats why at the start they said 'hey is vik there?' referencing viktor von(DOOMs alias) - its a story about how vik stole his girl and how he wants payback
Been watching you guys Norman Sann reaction videos and you recommended this one in one of the videos so here I am checking it out. First time hearing him
Some DOOM tracks you should react to: Doomsday Rhymes like dymes Gazillion ear That's that Mince meat Deep-fried friends Fine print Put your quarter up (feat aesop rock, slug) The mask (feat, Ghostface Killah)
Aw yeah! The best MC with no chain I ever heard & my goat producer Madlib. Only gets better with time. Def check out more Madlib's projects like the ones he did with Freddie Gibbs. Still hoping that Maclib (Mac Miller & Madlib) project gets released, sounded dope from what I heard.
DOOM was crazy good one of the best uk born hip hop artists ever, i believe he moved to the states did hip hop over there and came home to pass away on home soil, havent checked out heaps of his work but Viktor Vaughn of his aliases has more aggressive beats which is more my style.
If you guys have found the appreciation for the type of art that MF DOOM created. You should definitely check out "Ask Anyone" by Lice. Lice is a duo of two rappers you have recently heard for the first time, Aesop Rock and Homeboy Sandman. "Ask Anyone" is a track written as a tribute to MF DOOM after his passing.
This album for real took me like 7 or 8 good listens to like and appreciate it fully. I just didn't like how short most of the songs were because I was used to hearing 4ish minute long songs. Then I heard All Caps randomly watching The Boondocks and it clicked for me at that moment ( I had forgot about the album honestly). Rhinestone Cowboy is one of my favorite album closers of all time. Hardcore Hustle and Eye were the two tracks I just tolerated until hearing them This video as I'm catching more than I did before.
theres a project of MADLIB and macmiller already recorded you could call it MACLIB and Mac s family gave the ok we will get it soon , theres a clip of madlib talking about it, BTW quasimodo is madlib PEACE

Establishment record companies are desperate to keep art out of Hip Hop. Why? Because a well crafted and meaningful verse requires thought and introspection. It also brings the generations together, which they definitely don't seem to want.
Not sure if your guys have checked out THIS SET YET but its more UK d n b from One Nation , shabba , skibba d and pendulum ....its epic wo please check it out .😊😊😊😊
Loved the video, you guys should do a reaction to lil yachty’s album Let’s Start Here. You’ll have to trust me with this one. Saw him live yesterday in London and this album is such an experience!
Not listened to any Doom for a while now. Going to go listen to The Mouse In The Mask. The ATHF samples get me every time. Then maybe hit up some J Dilla. The Shining or Donuts are both spectacular, must have albums.
mac miller actually made an entire album with madlib, called maclib! it never came out bc he died though :( but there's rumours it'll release in the next year or two
Fucking LOVE this album! White hot fire through and through. I rly wanna see you guys react to some more Clipping. I HIIIIIIGHLY recommend "Face" by them, the JPEGMAFIA remix + the Signor Benedick The Moor remix together (they segway into one another).
Doom realeased music as Madvillain here, MF DOOM obviously (member the caps), King Geedorah, Viktor Vaughn, and maybe some other name that if i forgot plug it in the comments boyz. Also, Madlib is Quasimoto, which yall should check The Unseen record
I’m new to the channel, I only found these guys because I was looking for a DOOM reaction. Why is it that they edit/jump through each track? Is it a copyright issue? I see others listen to the whole song. Also as a music reaction channel, it’s done properly, vinyl and a couple of beers 👍

Wow was not expecting this at all, this is the type of content I stick around for.
you have to do DOOM's album w/ Danger Mouse. - Danger Doom is a collab w/ Adult Swim.
Shadows of tommorow is a rendition of a poem by jazz legend Sun Ra. Sun Ra is also the guy sampled talking through the track.
The vinyl, the brew, the shirts. Def earned a sub immediately. RIP THE SUPERVILLAIN

Viktor Vaughn - Vaudeville Villian, his greatest work qua lyricism imo
Y’all gotta listen to “DANGER DOOM.” It was literally influenced by Adult Swim cartoons. They even played snidbits of Dangermouse’s beats going into commercial breaks.
Quasimoto is Madlib with his voice pitched higher.
In Fancy Clown, it’s probable the person who took his (Viktor Vaughn’s) girl was the “tin face” (MF DOOM) he’s talking about in the beginning of the song
