I haven’t been to Latin America yet, but do plan to go sometime hopefully next year. My husband is from Guanojuato, Mexico. I think you will be so busy and maybe a little over stimulated at first with all the action, colors, people, music! I think you will enjoy the differences, as you are preparing yourself mentally! Have you tried the Babbel app? I had it, but didn’t end up enjoying the learning experience with it, but people rave about it. You’ll meet lots of expats probably. Homesickness won’t show up for at least a year. I’m excited for your journey. My husband and I were planning on relocating to San Miguel to retire, but now he says he doesn’t want to go back. Travel is good, along with changes in lifestyle. If nothing else it makes you more flexible, creative and curious, and keeps you from getting old!😂

I most likely will be overstimulated for quite a while initially.
I haven't tried Babbel, but my Spanish is already at the level where I can read books, listen to podcasts etc so it's more about putting it to use instead of just listening and reading.
I'm hoping that the warm weather loosens up the body enough to relax more!
It's already getting cold and dark here in Finland. We've had minus celcius nights already and the leaves are falling.
Thanks once again for watching and taking the time to leave a comment.
      I appreciate it! 🙏

My favorite language learning method so far has been Glossika (before the app). They sold mp3 packs with spaced repetition with hundreds of sentences that taught the grammar patterns etc.
The app works too but I liked the audio only approach.
