29 minutes is not long enough 🥺 I love listening to you talk Sophie. You’re so sweet and so therapeutic and your vlogs are the best! I cannot wait to watch this. You’re the most special, most gorgeous person and you’re like a big warm fuzzy hug. We love you 🩷xx
For the health conversation- I resonate SOOO MUCHHH. It’s like- life is short, enjoy it, eat whatever! But also be healthy so you can live a long life. There’s such a struggle between the two. Also with the alcohol conversation, I get that a lot when I tell people I don’t eat meat or dairy. It’s like they take it personally and don’t agree with my opinion which is wild because it doesn’t affect them whatsoever. Just do what you want to do!!
Does anyone else watch Sophie and Georgias videos for comfort but then just feel like they make you want to be the best most wholesome version of yourself? Because same? 🌸💘
So I’m halfway through your vlog and when you said “does anyone ever feel like they know too much about their health?”. Never felt more seen in my life, cause that’s literally me. When you posted an earlier vlog in the year about going to the doctors and being so anxious because of health anxiety I literally cried. Balling my eyes out in tears. Can relate to that so much. I’ve been dealing with the effects of chronic stress and anxiety since last year and this was so refreshing to hear! I also don’t drink and don’t enjoy it and can confirm it’s so good once people know and they just leave you alone. Thank you for making me feel normal ❤
things on my list that make me happy include shell collecting, water painting, picking/ buying flowers to keep in my space, yoga flows, watching sunset while listening to music, star gazing, beach walks and reading
I have never had a sip of alcohol and am now 37. I have always had people try to get me to drink and just tell me to have some fun and just drink, when I am content without drinking. It’s like they don’t understand that I am still enjoying myself without alcohol and am not missing out by not drinking. I absolutely love your scrapbooking. It’s such a creative way to journal. I think I want to try something like this. I think something that would be fun to do this year be to do a scavenger hunt with all your friends in the city.
omg i am literally the same with knowing too much about health and wanting to learn more, but not wanting to feel guilty for using things that are bad for my health... same as when you mentioned health anxiety! Its honestly a relief to know its a common feeling !! Thank you for sharing
To say I love your content is an understatement 🌟 your aesthetic , lifestyle , vlogs and mindset is inspiring 🎀 it would never be one of sophie’s vlog without matcha 🍵 that looked delicious the coffee too ! It’s always nice spending time with people you love & enjoy being around 🫶🏼🕊️ also you talking about the scrapbook 📔 is sooo true . I feel like it brings back so many memories and heals our inner child fr 🫀yours is soooo cute I love the way you design it and it’s so full of colors 🌈🩰💌
Barista here! some alternative milks are harder to steam or burn easily so yes they are more annoying to prep, also i assume alternative milk pricing is more than reg milk so thats why its so expenny!
Oooh I love your little goals for happiness! Since you're not drinking this year, maybe you could make mocktails? Like, as a fun activity with your friends, with a specific theme (like movies or songs or just mocktails based off your personalities?). I think its a very creative activity and who doesn't love a colourful drink (no matter if with or without alcohol)? 🍹
Sophie I am so so so happy to see your back to back vlogs and you always brighten up my day with your vlogs you are my truly truly inspiration and I will support you till end🥹🥹💗🥹
can't even explain how much i relate to you speaking about health anxiety. for years now i've been dealing with bad health anxiety but have started going to therapy to manage it. it's exhausting to constantly have a non existent health concern lingering in the back of your mind. the infinite access to google definitely causes us to know way too much about our health. it's a vicious cycle. love hearing you speak about it though and also love seeing the comments of other people who also feel the same way and feel seen.
Hahah I loved the convo about coffee! I’m a barista and I don’t think we should charge people more. Especially because so many people are allergic to different types of milk or are lactose intolerant. Same with the decaf. If someone prefers it. Why should we charge more 😅
Yessss ❤ didn’t expect a vlog from you today this is the best surprise everrr! I agree so much on knowing too much about health! For me it’s alcohol.. I can’t ever really enjoy a drink with friends because I feel like it’s hurting my body soo much
I know what you mean about healing your inner child! lately for me it's been through rediscovering those so fresh music CDs that I had always wished that I had but never did. they're like time capsules for my childhood!
as a barista (and this might be specific to the cafe i work with) but we get different milks than you'd buy at the store depending on what steams the best, so for our alternative milks 16L of barista oat milk costs more than 16L of barista full cream milk but again that could be just what we use
I’ve been scrapbooking since 2018 and it’s one of the best hobbies I think I ever started!! It’s so healing and therapeutic to create and just flick through when you want to reminisce 🥹
I feel you sooo much on the whole "knowing too much" thing😅 for years, that's exactly how my brain would work. I mean, tbh it still does but I have learnt to control it a bit. One thing that has helped me is adapt the things. For example, I will still use perfume but spray it on my clothes instead of my skin if that makes any sense😅 and also it helps to read up on the power of your mind. I realised that almost every outcome of every event in your life is in one way or another connceted to your thoughts. This has helped me not to think soooo much of every bad consequence but instead force myself to think "will be fine" hope this helps🥰
I’m the same way with alcohol!! I haven’t drank this year & it’s genuinely because I don’t enjoy it or the way it makes me feel so I was kinda like ?? Why am I consuming something I don’t like? But I tell people all the time “I don’t drink,” & sometimes I get a weird look, but I agree with that it leaves less wiggle room for people to be shoving it in your face
Love this vlog and you! Also thank you for sharing about your decision with not drinking. I’ve been in the same boat about not wanting to and getting so much pressure when I say “I’m not drinking tonight”. But I’m just going to start saying I don’t drink :)
You are my favourite to watch ! Videos literally help me relax so much, currently watching on nightshift on break, just love your vibe, style and can relate a lot to so many things so much inspo, lots of love from Amy , watching in Scotland ♥️
I love the fact that Sam got you onto finally drinking coffee and now you’ve finally got him onto oat milk. If that’s not love and growth, I don’t know what is. ❤️
Sophie, you are a delight to watch as always. I also love scrapbooking, but sadly, I'm always too tired to do any. I'm always interested in learning more about people's backgrounds and interests. Would you mind sharing what you do for work and what your field of expertise is? I find it fascinating to hear about different career paths. Are you a full-time content creator? How did you get started?
From a cafe owner, the oat is just more expensive to stock and a high demand from the supply companies so that’s why it generally costs more at least in the US
Omg the health chat I relate to on so many levels. I’m so anxious about my health too I swear my doctor hates me because I’m such a hypochondriac 😂 & I stopped drinking almost 2 years ago & I still get people make those comments to me, I don’t think it’ll ever stop. But you definitely aren’t alone in feeling that way! 💗
My boyfriend and I used to have a drink or two on the week-ends (not every single one but regularly enough) and we've decided to cut it out for the time being, had our last drink on December 31st, and I totally agree with what you were saying about this kind of social pressure to consume alcohol, which I hate. It's like you're being "healthy" and people call you out on it like it's a bad thing even though I've been researching a lot about the toll it takes on your body and how bad it actually is. I find it so interesting how engrained drinking is in our culture even though it is just a socially acceptable drug but a drug nonetheless.
I can’t with the way you were drawing letters in your card like right in the middle of the piece. Girl!! Draw them near the edge. Less waste 😆 That said, the journal is looking fab! Planning a whole double spread for the Eras tour too 🤩 xoxo
I’ve been a barista for years, alternative milks cost more hence the extra charge, though decaf shouldn’t cost extra as it doesn’t necessarily cost more to buy in and it’s only fair people don’t want to pay more to not get a heart attack having normal coffee 😅 The cost of coffee can definitely be overpriced but depending on where you go, it’s worth it for good coffee where the barista takes it seriously and does every step correctly which can be stressful when it’s busy.
I totally know what you mean by knowing too much about health HOWEVER the way I like to look at it is we're only alive for 80-90 years and it would be such a waste to not enjoy the simple things that give us pleasure! I'm pretty health conscious with my food intake but I absolutely love going out with friends for food/drinks so to avoid things that are unhealthy (e.g. junk food or alcohol) would be robbing myself of other healthy experiences like socialising. As long as it's in moderation and you're applying the 80/20 rule, live your life!!
Multiple milks is a stress. Sam saying you need a carton for every milk is true. And multiple frothing pitchers to avoid allergy cross contamination!! But it costs as much as regular milk. You’re right!!
Resonating with the thoughts around alcohol! Both my husband and I decided to quit alcohol for a period of time... Now decided on atleast the year.. the initial discussions/thoughts of others just really made me think about society and our thoughts on alcohol... And I'm going to say it... AUSSIES and alcohol are the bloody worst ! But I really do hope things shift with views around alcohol... Like you said if you want to drink great, if you don't great, let's not make such a big deal about either
barista here! youre not paying extra for the inconvenience when ordering alternative milks or decaf - decaf beans and alternative are actually just more expensive! At least where I'm from at least in WA :)
Barista here lol, it may be different in aus but in the uk oat is like £2 for a litre but dairy milk is £1.45 for over 2L. I don’t think it’s extra faff to do alt milk so if it is the same price it’s dumb to charge extra
1. you look snatched!!! 2. you should try Henry Rose fragrances. They're non-toxic and safe. Bc you should 100% be concerned about putting harsh carcinogens on your skin! There's also a brand called Dedcool but it's a little too strong for me. xx
Hey Sophie! I just wanted to recommend you to go see a registered dietitian/nutritionist in regards to your fear of eating things that are “unhealthy”! I totally get getting anxious and feeling like everything can be harmful, but the truth is social media has harmed us SO MUCH when it comes to this kind of stuff! So many untrue facts are tossed around!! I’m studying nutrition in college right now and I really think talking to a health professional could help you get more accurate information (just in general or about specific foods that maybe “scare” you, like diary). They could also help you with the supplements you mentioned you’re trying. Mostly, a well balanced diet should really be enough to support your hormones (unless you have a specific pathology), so they could probably help you sort that out too. Lots of love!!
I used to be a barista and didn’t find alternative milks to be inconvenient, but the majority of people definitely still drink cows milk! I agree that it shouldn’t cost more though, it’s standard enough to at least have soy & almond milk and often it’s cheaper than cows milk 🤷🏻♀️
The whole hating dairy movement thing I think started because of freelee the banana girl in 2014. I used to be able to tolerate dairy until Freelee and I completely cut it out of my diet and only had almond or soy milk in everything and when I tried to have normal milk again, I got sick. Even yoghurt for me I get sick and I love yoghurt.
alternative milk costs more compared to gallon milk when you compare the sizes of a gallon of milk and a smallish jug go alternative milk. we charged more for breve (half and half for the milk or heavy cream) for the same reason. plain milk costs less... being charged extra for decaf coffee is insane though. we didn't charge extra for decaf coffee ... pretty sure they don't do that here in the US unless a small shop decides to.
Wouldnt it be because you have to have a seperate grinder and everything. So if you are offering decaf you it’s more effort and equipment? That’s my theory.
@@danib022 yes, youre required to have separate grinders, we did when I was a barista. but it didn't change the pricing. I'm sure there's a reason for it, even if it's because decaf isn't as commonly ordered so that may help replace whatever is wasted from the beans going stale.
For your list > Go to the bookstore, find someone else browsing, pick a book they have picked up but put back down, take it to the front and purchase for them!? 🥰
I own a cafe in Nz and I totally understand the frustration, but it's simply because the cost of alternative milks and decafe beans are more expensive for us to stock :( So we have to make up for the cost difference in our margins eep! P.s. Love your vlogs Soph, they've been my go to for years now
For a fun idea, I love the date night option where you go thrifting with your partner and pick out each other outfits?? Idk it’s so funny to me but also cute and then after you have to wear the outfits and go out 😅
I've been dairy free since 2018 because I'm lactose intolerant. at first places seemed to get a lot better about not charging for alt. milks but in recent months everywhere seems to be adding extra again. 🥺 lowkey discrimination because it's not a lifestyle choice for me - it's all I can have rip
UGH SOPH!!! The health talk at around 15 minutes hit me really close to home. Hearing you talk about how you sometimes wish you didn't know so much about health and the way that there is so much misinformation everywhere these days about things- made me tear up. I fell into this cycle hard and fast during covid, and the overwhelm of knowledge lead to me developing an eating disorder, being too scared to eat/rest and much more, and ultimately lead to me nearly dying in a hospital bed from anorexia nervosa. It is so toxic in todays day and age trying to filter our sense of the world in a way that is balanced and healthy. And sometimes that means not engaging in the algorithm's attempts to reel us in and make us stuck. I am trying actively to take time off and away from my phone, social media, diet culture and diet culture talk- and it's f**cking HARD!! It's a choice I have to make every single day. I wanted to let you know so that you know you are not alone! And that it's hard growing up in an age of comparison and overstimulation. You are doing an awesome job at finding joy in the little things, knowing when to disengage, taking time to scrapbook and live your rendition of what a healthy lifestyle looks like and is suited to you. Here for you and riding the waves with you, always. Love you and these little FaceTime style talks so much. Thank you for all that you do and the vigilant, kind, bestie type person you are.

Soph, you are someone I really look upto and I hope you know you are such a piece of sunshine sis! 💖
love the clean hair and casuals yet classy look ! ❤️ so neat looking
I know what you mean about healing your inner child! lately for me it's been through rediscovering those so fresh music CDs that I had always wished that I had but never did. they're like time capsules for my childhood!
AUS barista here, 90% alt milks (1L) is about double the price to a good local brand (which most cafes will resort to using) 2L dairy milk.
and most cafe alt milks will not just be your generic supermarket ones
Great vlog💕. You're definitely one of my comfort TH-camrs.

your vlogs give me so much comfort, thank you xx

well this makes me so so happy
Love a monday morning with you!!!
the souvenirs from south korea look adorable on the book shelf ✨
Yesss this!! Thank you angel ❤️
This makes me oh so happy 😭
I'm so happy I found your TH-cam! You have such a lovely energy Sophie 💗
MY FAV DAY IS WHEN YOU POST SOPH!!!❤️❤️❤️
YOU ARE EVERYTHING
I’m definitely going to start scrapbooking too. Such a great idea to make journaling fun!
YAY
Love seeing Sam! He’s a vibe!!❤your tan looks amazing!!
I love the fact that Sam got you onto finally drinking coffee and now you’ve finally got him onto oat milk. If that’s not love and growth, I don’t know what is. ❤️

How did you get started?
I had that matcha on the Gold Coast and I crave it everyday. It’s so so traditional and yum
RIGHT!!! So so good
From a cafe owner, the oat is just more expensive to stock and a high demand from the supply companies so that’s why it generally costs more at least in the US
monday mornings with sophieeeee
LOVE U
this vlog was the cutest xxxxxxx
hehe I'm glad you enjoyed
as someone who can’t have full cream milk, paying extra for an alternative is sooooo crappy !! agree with you on that 100%
Always enjoy your vlogs, especially when Sam is a part of them.
He will love this

thank you angel girl 🥹
Totally agree about the not drinking and people getting offended - so wierd - you are not the only one 😊
as a barista in america, it’s so not necessary to charge extra, the coffee shop i work at does not charge extra for alternative milks or decaf

I can’t with the way you were drawing letters in your card like right in the middle of the piece. Girl!! Draw them near the edge. Less waste 😆 That said, the journal is looking fab! Planning a whole double spread for the Eras tour too 🤩 xoxo

Greek yogurt is very healthy, I love having it especially for breakfast! I love your long, girly vlogs 💓

Wouldnt it be because you have to have a seperate grinder and everything. So if you are offering decaf you it’s more effort and equipment? That’s my theory.
@@danib022 yes, youre required to have separate grinders, we did when I was a barista. but it didn't change the pricing. I'm sure there's a reason for it, even if it's because decaf isn't as commonly ordered so that may help replace whatever is wasted from the beans going stale.
i feel like that! i’ve studied all things health for so long and now im scared of everything hahahahaha 😂
RIGHT ugh like I'm glad I know but also part of me wishes I didn't???
For your list > Go to the bookstore, find someone else browsing, pick a book they have picked up but put back down, take it to the front and purchase for them!? 🥰
I LOVE THIS
I own a cafe in Nz and I totally understand the frustration, but it's simply because the cost of alternative milks and decafe beans are more expensive for us to stock :( So we have to make up for the cost difference in our margins eep! P.s. Love your vlogs Soph, they've been my go to for years now
Ok this makes SO much sense
Get a door stopper or use a towel to go across the floor of the door that should help the noise
For a fun idea, I love the date night option where you go thrifting with your partner and pick out each other outfits?? Idk it’s so funny to me but also cute and then after you have to wear the outfits and go out 😅
Ooo this is such a fun idea!!!
Honestly, you are one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. Love and enjoy every video you post!! Have a wonderful week angel 👼
how are you doing the cut outs? are you cutting it yourself or getting it printed like that? x
Hi Soph ☀️, will the bottle be restocked or there will be completely new ones? 🤞🏽🥰
Yay Sophie! 🎉 ( Pompoms)
THAT MATCHA COLOUR
Goal ideas: go to a dance class!
THIS IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA
I've been dairy free since 2018 because I'm lactose intolerant. at first places seemed to get a lot better about not charging for alt. milks but in recent months everywhere seems to be adding extra again. 🥺 lowkey discrimination because it's not a lifestyle choice for me - it's all I can have rip
Totally relate to the drinking thing
You and your finance remind me of Aspyn and Parker lol love y’all sm and love your vids 🤍
I have a couch in my bedroom and the amount of clothes I have on it is embarrassing as I am also bad with putting clothes away 😅
I feel this to my core
