Arahi, thank you for the candid comments on these fragrances! Nobody can like everything, and people will have different scent associations that make them dislike some. I doesn't mean the fragrance is bad! And its good to know that you don't love every fragrance you try! That said, I personally enjoy Badee Al Oud Sublime, while I don't care for Honor & Glory. But I understand why others like it.

I purchased Little African Drummer five months ago and thought it was not very good. I cleared out the automizer and put it away. Three months later, after I let it sit and masserate, I loved it and wore it with Kayali Vanilla 28. You have to let this sit for a good three to four months.

I've passed on many of these discussed here. Sublime went to my granddaughter, which was a bit juvenile for me, Mayzoon was a definite nope too strange off the sample, French Coffee I own a small roller ball oil and only for gentle layering in winter, Rare Passion is a nope. Remes is a YES, Dubai Portrait 😍 Al Haramain l'Aventure Iris is gorgeous, and I'm getting a second bottle. For a Rose Champagne scent, I've been rockin' Bharara Pink Champagne 🍾 💗 I'm a boneifide Musk lover hard core and Swiss Arabian Musk 01, 07, and 74 Poudree are exquisite. I also love Musk Malaki oil from Swiss Arabian 😍 thank you for your input on these fragrances, Arahi. I am pretty safe, most of them aren't my jam. It is nice to get the heads up. We're forced to do a lot of blind buying 😢 thanx again 😊

SA Musk 01, 07 I've had my eye on for a while! And Bharara is a brand that I have been testing behind the scenes and will soon be introduced to our Fam.... for those who don't know about it! I did not pick up Pink Champagne so may have to try and get a sample somewhere! @Arahiworld #Mastica is from the gum mastic tree it has a gummy resinous with medicinal notes. It's an acquired scent . It would have done better if blended with peru balsam, benzoin and olibanum. To tame the scent. Peru has courimin and cinnamon notes, benzoin contains vanillin and olibanum has a lemon resinous note. Because tonka,lemonade cinnamon and vanilla won't blend with mastic so their resin counterparts is the only way to produce syrupy sweet scent that mastic can have

I love tous quissa pink and I am the queen. 😄 I mix Yara quissa and shafaq with Valentino Donna Born in Roma. Get many compliments. I recently received Nuhah and I swear to my nose it smells similar to those fragrances 🤷🏾♀️

I had to let my Badee al oud sublime macerate for nearly 6 months before it finally smelled remotely like others were describing. Now it’s beautiful. Two that get rave reviews but don’t work for me are Lattafa Ansaam Gold, which my husband said reminded him of his grandmother’s toilet spray, and Lattafa Qaed Al Fursan Unlimited, which turns into a sour milk smell and metallic. Unfortunately I don’t get any of the beautiful coconut that people speak about. It just goes to show how much our skin chemistry affects the scent and our experiences wearing them. I love the sound of Asad Zanzibar though, so will try that one, thank you!

Hello! I have never provided a review of African Drummer on the channel as I was testing it and then letting it macerate to see if it would get better! What I did do on the channel, if I recall correctly, was a haul! In those videos it is clear that I am not reviewing the fragrance but actually spraying it for the first time and letting you know my first impression! Atlantis Coral oh my I blind bought that and something in it reminded me of my stepmother and I could not keep it sold it right away, but I’m sure if it didn’t have that bad connected to it. Omg I just posted my Rare Passion on Mercari yesterday lol I agreed 100% with you! But I also got rid of Rare Tiffany too. I could only smell fresh wood with that one. They were amazing blends and quality but I did not want to smell like either of them. Sadly they were not for me.
We need more of these videos to save us from all the blind buying fails 😩 I’ve resisted Mayar Natural Intense for the longest time but ended up getting it recently on sale. So disappointed 😕. Trying to salvage it by mixing with Lancôme Figues &Agrumes, another meh scent, but they actually go very well together

Yes i am glad you're sharing your thoughts on fragrances you do not like as well. Now since we're being honest .. There's a few you've recommended that i don't really care for. That Oh Boy fragrance (forgot who made it) both Rasasi's Elite Lady and Victory. I don't hate them but they're so so. I'll admit i do like Elite Lady as time goes on. And I'm not sure if you hauled this one but Riffiquat. 😑😑😑😑 All i get is gasoline and plastic. But mostly gasoline. I've had it since late March. I'll let them at sit and come back but yeah. I love love love African drummer i like sublime and rare passion. Like rare Tiffany better but i wish she lasted longer. Oh and mayar intense is okay too. Very watery and green. But fresh. I can live with it but probably won't repurchase once gone.

I also own Babycat which is the one it was inspired by and can tell you that I have heard from many frag lovers that they get burnt tires even from that one! Please just let us all know when one doesn't work for you! Please don't feel bad about saying it out loud ❤ Fragrance is a matter of taste and body chemistry, so it will work for sime people and not work for others. Arahi, I completely agree with you. LOL! Mayar Intense isn't for me. Every time I spray it, there is something off-putting about it. I keep trying to let it sit, but it just doesn't work for me. Regarding French Coffee, I agree with you. I don't want to smell like coffee. As far as Rare Passion goes, I find it just smelling strange as well. You are so right about Bade"e Al Oud Sublime! Mayar is one of my favorites but I UNDERSTAND. I also love cilantro and smell pickles in Santal 33. If we had the same genes, we would have the same fingerprint. I LOVE Issey Miyaki fragrances and I know that many people can't stand them. I grew up close to the Louisiana border in Texas, maybe smelling all those water lily blooming has trained my nose to like that 'artificial' water scent they give off. LOL Don't apologize, I still trust you more than any other influencer. Your reviews have led me to Mohra Silky Rose, Lattafa Emaan and Lattafa Ajayeb Dubai Portrait and they are in my top 5 favs.(I refuse to admit how many I own) 😘

Arahi my love🤣🤣🤣🤣 when you held up sublime and your sad face when you were giving your commentary... that cracked me up! With that said, Badee al oud Sublime would rank as one of my top five best lataffa fragrances to date. I got super crush recently and at first I was not so sure, but I grew to like it, and the performance.. lasts all day. I see your juice is darker meaning you've kept it quite a bit.. can't wait to see how it evolves over time. When I saw Zanzibar included on the thumbnail i wondered if you'd gone crazy lol but I'm glad it falls in the recommended frags. That one is the best in the lineup in my book. Actually the only one worth having from the lineup. The rest 🐽

Arahi - can we agree to disagree🤣. I feel African Drummer does have a coconut smell. Maybe not CREAMY coconut but a coconut mixed with lime. I thought when I bought it, it reminded me of Lust for Sun by Juliette has Gun. It has the same notes but something is different. I like it but it is not a dreamy coconut.

On the French coffee, it just turned so bitter on my skin.. sour or something? Strong coffee Fragrance, I got rid of mine. I had to let the. Bades Al oud sublime sit for 8 months to smell great.. is absolutely beautiful

I have Al Rehab French Coffee and I have a different experience. Yes, the black coffee scent is powerful in the opening, but a few minutes later, the smell becomes creamy, like a latte or cappuccino. It smells yummy! So far, it does not last too long on me. I'm lucky if I get five good hours with it. I hope the longevity gets better. But, I have a different version than the one you have in the video. My bottle is the clear one, not that brown bottle. I wonder if the formula is different, based on the bottle you have?

Hello! So there is no specific amount of time for you to let a fragrance macerate because that can vary from fragrance to fragrance. Maybe it is just not going to work for you…. There are other Fam members that have expressed how this one is not a good one to their nose. It also depends on how long you want to let it sit! Hi Arahi 👋🏾. I made the mistake and fell into the hype and blind bought LA AFRICAN DRUMMER. There's something in it that I don't like and does not agree with my body chemistry. I've tested it on three separate occasions and it's a huge NO for me. If I want to smell like a lime coconut vacation I'm just gonna stick to my Virgin Waters by Creed. And in all honesty, I'm going to stop buying so many Middle Eastern fragrances. They are becoming a huge waste of money in my opinion. They are either starting to all smell alike, the longevity is short, or I end up buying dupes of the OG's that I already have in my collection 😢.

Do you know that I get the same feeling about Rare Tiffany? It's not completely bad, I just don't feel like wearing it. I had sooo high hopes for this one but in my skin it smells really cheap and not remarkable. Not interesting at all. I got a sample and mine is still macerating to see if it gets improved

I avoided African Drummer due to the comparison to Lust for Sun. I'm surprised it's the ambroxan you don't like in it, I got my sample of Marj by AAM and that has the same ambroxan as Davidoff Cool Water that sticks out like a sore thumb! Edit to ads (you said you loved Marj, hence my surprise if its specifically the ambroxan you arent liking in AD).

Let me start by saying that you can have the same note in two fragrances and get a different scent from each.... this is determined by the Blend of a fragrance which includes other notes and compound/chemicals! That being said, Marj is not a mass appealing fragrance and I am pretty sure I said that in the video where I spoke in detail about Marj! BUT!!!!...... I am absolutely IN LOVE with Marj! I consider it an Ahmed Al Maghribi masterpiece! There is nothing like it in my entire collection and it provides one of the most challenging olfactory journeys I have experienced. I am sorry it did not work for you! Now.... when it comes to African Drummer.... I did not say it was the Ambroxan as I do not have a problem with Ambroxan in any fragrance..... but the reason I mentioned it when speaking about AD is because I always let the Fam know when a fragrance has Ambroxan as there are several Fam members that can not tolerate it and it gives them headaches! My problem with African Drummer is the entire composition and the way the Blend was done! I own Lust for Sun and love it! It is one of my go to beach fragrances! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@ArahiWorld I'm well aware of blending etc, I've been buying perfume for decades. 😂 But yes, now I saw you just mentioned it has amboxan in rather than saying you didn't like it. I forgot you just like to mention it for others. I don't mind it in *some* fragrances at all, I just don't want low key reminders of boys at 90's night clubs when I'm wearing a fragrance, which is how the ambroxan in Marj comes across *to me* personally which is a shame as the rest of it is quite nice. As you may be aware, different noses and scent memories matter. That will also be why you aren't getting what other people get from some of these, not because one person is right and the other is wrong. That's why I sample where I can, to see if a specific blend suits me.

I have tried at least 6 different fragrances from Lataffa. I got a little decant of the honor and glory just today. It's just ok. Otherwise, I have not found a fragrance from Lataffa that i like, with the exception of Eclaire.

Happy Thursday, Arahi! Like you, I am also questioning whether I should keep Sublime and Mayar Natural Intense. I actually thought I liked both initially, but there is something in the drydown of Sublime that irritates me and while I like some aspects of Mayar Natural Intense, there is something sharp in it that I don't enjoy. I don't have Mayzoon, but I did get a fragrance oil from Perla Nera, Sweet Milla, and I just do not like it. It smells like straight up baby powder to me, which is a scent I cannot stand. On the other hand, I am loving Eternal Musk, as it seems so elegant and versatile, I can see myself wearing it a lot for so many different occasions. I've also been thinking about getting Tamima, since I heard it was similar to L'Imperatrice, which I really enjoy except find it doesn't last on me. So I'm glad to hear you enjoy it! Do you think it resembles L'Imperatrice at all? If you would like a good dupe for Mancera's Coco Vanille, I have Montaigne Coco by Maison Alhambra and it is a very close dupe (though I did find it needed some time to macerate). Thanks for sharing these fragrances that didn't work out for you - it is a difficult topic but still very helpful for your viewers. I purchased Little African Drummer five months ago and thought it was not very good. I cleared out the automizer and put it away. Three months later, after I let it sit and masserate, I loved it and wore it with Kayali Vanilla 28. You have to let this sit for a good three to four months.

@Arahiworld #Mastica is from the gum mastic tree it has a gummy resinous with medicinal notes. It's an acquired scent . It would have done better if blended with peru balsam, benzoin and olibanum. To tame the scent. Peru has courimin and cinnamon notes, benzoin contains vanillin and olibanum has a lemon resinous note. Because tonka,lemonade cinnamon and vanilla won't blend with mastic so their resin counterparts is the only way to produce syrupy sweet scent that mastic can have

I had to let my Badee al oud sublime macerate for nearly 6 months before it finally smelled remotely like others were describing. Now it’s beautiful.
Two that get rave reviews but don’t work for me are Lattafa Ansaam Gold, which my husband said reminded him of his grandmother’s toilet spray, and Lattafa Qaed Al Fursan Unlimited, which turns into a sour milk smell and metallic. Unfortunately I don’t get any of the beautiful coconut that people speak about. It just goes to show how much our skin chemistry affects the scent and our experiences wearing them.
I love the sound of Asad Zanzibar though, so will try that one, thank you!

Hello! I have never provided a review of African Drummer on the channel as I was testing it and then letting it macerate to see if it would get better! What I did do on the channel, if I recall correctly, was a haul! In those videos it is clear that I am not reviewing the fragrance but actually spraying it for the first time and letting you know my first impression! Now since we're being honest .. There's a few you've recommended that i don't really care for. That Oh Boy fragrance (forgot who made it) both Rasasi's Elite Lady and Victory. I don't hate them but they're so so. I'll admit i do like Elite Lady as time goes on. And I'm not sure if you hauled this one but Riffiquat. 😑😑😑😑 All i get is gasoline and plastic. But mostly gasoline. I've had it since late March. I'll let them at sit and come back but yeah. I love love love African drummer i like sublime and rare passion. Like rare Tiffany better but i wish she lasted longer. Oh and mayar intense is okay too. Very watery and green. But fresh. I can live with it but probably won't repurchase once gone.

I also own Babycat which is the one it was inspired by and can tell you that I have heard from many frag lovers that they get burnt tires even from that one! Please just let us all know when one doesn't work for you! That is why I am always asking each Fam member to share their opinion when possible because that way we are all aware of when a fragrance could not be a love to someone else! Blind buing fragrances you are bound to get some that just don't work for you and that's normal. Please don't feel bad about saying it out loud ❤ Fragrance is a matter of taste and body chemistry, so it will work for sime people and not work for others. Arahi, I completely agree with you. LOL! Mayar Intense isn't for me. Every time I spray it, there is something off-putting about it. I keep trying to let it sit, but it just doesn't work for me. Regarding French Coffee, I agree with you. I don't want to smell like coffee. As far as Rare Passion goes, I find it just smelling strange as well. You are so right about Bade"e Al Oud Sublime! Mayar is one of my favorites but I UNDERSTAND. I also love cilantro and smell pickles in Santal 33. If we had the same genes, we would have the same fingerprint. I LOVE Issey Miyaki fragrances and I know that many people can't stand them. I grew up close to the Louisiana border in Texas, maybe smelling all those water lily blooming has trained my nose to like that 'artificial' water scent they give off. LOL Don't apologize, I still trust you more than any other influencer. Your reviews have led me to Mohra Silky Rose, Lattafa Emaan and Lattafa Ajayeb Dubai Portrait and they are in my top 5 favs.(I refuse to admit how many I own) 😘

Arahi my love🤣🤣🤣🤣 when you held up sublime and your sad face when you were giving your commentary... that cracked me up! With that said, Badee al oud Sublime would rank as one of my top five best lataffa fragrances to date. I got super crush recently and at first I was not so sure, but I grew to like it, and the performance.. lasts all day. I see your juice is darker meaning you've kept it quite a bit.. can't wait to see how it evolves over time. When I saw Zanzibar included on the thumbnail i wondered if you'd gone crazy lol but I'm glad it falls in the recommended frags. That one is the best in the lineup in my book. Actually the only one worth having from the lineup. The rest 🐽

Arahi - can we agree to disagree🤣. I feel African Drummer does have a coconut smell. Maybe not CREAMY coconut but a coconut mixed with lime. I thought when I bought it, it reminded me of Lust for Sun by Juliette has Gun. It has the same notes but something is different. I like it but it is not a dreamy coconut.

On the French coffee, it just turned so bitter on my skin.. sour or something? Strong coffee Fragrance, I got rid of mine. I had to let the. Bades Al oud sublime sit for 8 months to smell great.. is absolutely beautiful

I have Al Rehab French Coffee and I have a different experience. Yes, the black coffee scent is powerful in the opening, but a few minutes later, the smell becomes creamy, like a latte or cappuccino. It smells yummy! So far, it does not last too long on me. I'm lucky if I get five good hours with it. I hope the longevity gets better. But, I have a different version than the one you have in the video. My bottle is the clear one, not that brown bottle. I wonder if the formula is different, based on the bottle you have?

Hello! So there is no specific amount of time for you to let a fragrance macerate because that can vary from fragrance to fragrance. Maybe it is just not going to work for you…. There are other Fam members that have expressed how this one is not a good one to their nose. It also depends on how long you want to let it sit! Hi Arahi 👋🏾. I made the mistake and fell into the hype and blind bought LA AFRICAN DRUMMER. There's something in it that I don't like and does not agree with my body chemistry. I've tested it on three separate occasions and it's a huge NO for me. If I want to smell like a lime coconut vacation I'm just gonna stick to my Virgin Waters by Creed. And in all honesty, I'm going to stop buying so many Middle Eastern fragrances. They are becoming a huge waste of money in my opinion. They are either starting to all smell alike, the longevity is short, or I end up buying dupes of the OG's that I already have in my collection 😢.

Do you know that I get the same feeling about Rare Tiffany? It's not completely bad, I just don't feel like wearing it. I had sooo high hopes for this one but in my skin it smells really cheap and not remarkable. Not interesting at all. I got a sample and mine is still macerating to see if it gets improved

I avoided African Drummer due to the comparison to Lust for Sun. I'm surprised it's the ambroxan you don't like in it, I got my sample of Marj by AAM and that has the same ambroxan as Davidoff Cool Water that sticks out like a sore thumb!
Edit to ads (you said you loved Marj, hence my surprise if its specifically the ambroxan you arent liking in AD).

Let me start by saying that you can have the same note in two fragrances and get a different scent from each.... this is determined by the Blend of a fragrance which includes other notes and compound/chemicals! That being said, Marj is not a mass appealing fragrance and I am pretty sure I said that in the video where I spoke in detail about Marj! BUT!!!!...... I am absolutely IN LOVE with Marj! I consider it an Ahmed Al Maghribi masterpiece! There is nothing like it in my entire collection and it provides one of the most challenging olfactory journeys I have experienced. I am sorry it did not work for you! Now.... when it comes to African Drummer.... I did not say it was the Ambroxan as I do not have a problem with Ambroxan in any fragrance..... but the reason I mentioned it when speaking about AD is because I always let the Fam know when a fragrance has Ambroxan as there are several Fam members that can not tolerate it and it gives them headaches! My problem with African Drummer is the entire composition and the way the Blend was done! I own Lust for Sun and love it! It is one of my go to beach fragrances! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@ArahiWorld I'm well aware of blending etc, I've been buying perfume for decades. 😂 But yes, now I saw you just mentioned it has amboxan in rather than saying you didn't like it. I forgot you just like to mention it for others. I don't mind it in *some* fragrances at all, I just don't want low key reminders of boys at 90's night clubs when I'm wearing a fragrance, which is how the ambroxan in Marj comes across *to me* personally which is a shame as the rest of it is quite nice. As you may be aware, different noses and scent memories matter. That will also be why you aren't getting what other people get from some of these, not because one person is right and the other is wrong. That's why I sample where I can, to see if a specific blend suits me.

I think we have a pretty mature fragrance lover group in this Fam.... not in age but in time dealing with fragrances!! 😂 I have to tell you that I agree sampling is the only way to go because sometimes you can even like a fragrance at first sniff but then get a decant or a bottle and determine that you like it but not enough to go for a full bottle! So then there you are with just another bottle collecting dust! 😂And don't even start me on trying to store all these perfume bottles!!! The other thing you said that caught my attention is how a fragrance can trigger memories and/or periods of time we are really not interested in remembering! I have tried at least 6 different fragrances from Lataffa. I got a little decant of the honor and glory just today. It's just ok. Otherwise, I have not found a fragrance from Lataffa that i like, with the exception of Eclaire.

Happy Thursday, Arahi! Like you, I am also questioning whether I should keep Sublime and Mayar Natural Intense. I actually thought I liked both initially, but there is something in the drydown of Sublime that irritates me and while I like some aspects of Mayar Natural Intense, there is something sharp in it that I don't enjoy. I don't have Mayzoon, but I did get a fragrance oil from Perla Nera, Sweet Milla, and I just do not like it. It smells like straight up baby powder to me, which is a scent I cannot stand. On the other hand, I am loving Eternal Musk, as it seems so elegant and versatile, I can see myself wearing it a lot for so many different occasions. I've also been thinking about getting Tamima, since I heard it was similar to L'Imperatrice, which I really enjoy except find it doesn't last on me. So I'm glad to hear you enjoy it! Do you think it resembles L'Imperatrice at all? If you would like a good dupe for Mancera's Coco Vanille, I have Montaigne Coco by Maison Alhambra and it is a very close dupe (though I did find it needed some time to macerate). Hi Erin and hope you are staying cool in this heat wave we are facing! 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I would say that Tamima is pretty close to L'Imperatrice and what I enjoy the most is the performance of Tamima because I never replaced my bottle of L'Imperatrice due to it just lasting like 5 hours on my skin and at that price point.... No! 😂😂😂 I had not heard about Montaigne Coco so just added it to my ERIN TOLD ME TO BUY IT list! 😂😂😂😂😂 Thank you! @@ArahiWorld I think I might just have to pick up Tamima as it sounds like a great fragrance for this very hot weather! It is so strange but lately there have been a few fragrances that I thought I used to like that I hadn't tried in a few months, and now I just don't enjoy them as much - not only Sublime and Mayar Natural Intense, but also Amethyst by Lalique. I used to get some really great berry notes from that fragrance and now it just smells bad on my skin. I have no idea what happened! Hi Erin! In my experience I think our bodies and noses go through cycles becsuse that has happened to me so many times!
