    Thank you, Lang Lang, for your classical music you give to our world with such emotion and deapths.
    I remember once you said as a child learning the piano 🎹 "I observed watching cats play."

    I love Lang Lang as a person and always find his interpretations interesting and scintillating. But it's not always musically satisfying, sensible or faithful to the score.

      Heart and soul in his music, great communication skills , engaging personality and nothing snobbish about him. The foundations he has set up worldwide to encourage children to study music.

    I am wery interesting as psichologyst..when emotions start tu flow in your fingers..do you have alredy emotion before start to play..or you start playing..and emotion influents in playing furthrr? I understend talent as round emotions and quick way us fingers on key? I have no talent..but have deep emotion when listen your playing..

    The title with the word "Megastar" describes the whole problem. He is a star, showman, entertainer. But not an artist. This video by @DW Classical Music just shows what is wrong, how art declines: Just vain blathering using stereotypes that say nothing. This whole video is not more valuable than a corny marketing video. For me, as someone from the young generation, this makes me very sad.
    We have such a rich fortune in music. But people defile it by following trends and trying to be cool.

      Art has been interconnected with marketing, since the Renaissance days. If your works don't have artistic value , you won't get any chance of marketing. This pianist has been subject to market testing for over 20 years, winning loads of music awards and achieving record-high sales of albums. If a guy wins extensive recognition from both art experts and audiences, there won't be ant valid excuse disparaging his greatness. By the way, in the old days there were two renowned artists who've been stars, showmen and entertainers, creating trends to be followed. They're Liszt and Paganini.

    He can just play the piano mechanically by reading music notes and through finger memorization. He can't play music impromptu instantly by ear. That clearly shows he lacks musical talents. All it takes is discipline and finger- memorization skill to become a concert pianist. Many people don't get that

    • @ratzlp0li
      @ratzlp0li 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      There are profoundly unmusical people with perfect pitch who can instantly learn a piece by ear, but that in no way automatically makes them a 'great' musician. And then there are great musicians without perfect pitch, like Wagner. Just because someone cannot instantly play a piece by ear has little relevance to how great a musician is. I'm sure it helps, but it's not necessary.

    • @betserv.1187
      @betserv.1187 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ratzlp0li Musical talent is not about having perfect pitch. Some people have relative pitch and are musically talented. You can define "being a great musician" however you want. What I said was one doesn't need to have musical talent to be a concert pianist. Lang is one of those people lacking musical talent and playing music mechanically by reading notes and by finger memorization. Many people don't understand the fact that one doesn't need musical talent to be a concert pianist.

    • @republiccooper
      @republiccooper 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Why do you assume he can't improvise or play by ear?

    • @betserv.1187
      @betserv.1187 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@republiccooper (1) People who are musically talented don't want to practice for long hours, it is boring for them to repeat the same thing over and over, and they don't end up being concert pianists. it takes discipline and several hours of practicing and repeating the same thing over and over again like a robot. (2) I have not seen a concert pianist or a Ph.D in piano performance who can play instantly by ear. (3) I have never seen Lang playing instantly impromptu by ear. (4) Only a very very very few people in the world master playing the piano both by ears and by reading notes.

    • @betserv.1187

      @YueLi-vw4rg I have no doubt that people like Beethoven and Mozart can instantly play pretty much any songs by ear because I have no doubt that they were highly talented musically.
