I ride a 2009 Nightster so I appreciate that you mentioned that bike. Harley didn't make a new bike as much as they brought something back that was popular. Love my Nightster so glad to see the reboot of that platform with the 70's throwback paint.
I love my 2018 1200 Iron. I got a high sissy bar, custom seat and ditched the bikini faring. Rush exhaust. I can ride this bike standing up like a dirt bike with the mids over rough roads.
@@dhomg5875 I got the Drag Specialty seat. It looks better and I have a place for my sissy bar bag to sit. I have the tall burley sissy bar. I installed the hwy pegs on mine. I got the brackets powder coated black for about $35.00 us. I also installed Rush slip ons with the V/H naked air filter and the FP3 tuner which changed it completely. I got the El Paso wind shield which works great. I also installed the passenger pegs will the exhaust was off. It still is a pain in the ass.Just incase a cutie needs a ride.
You do a great job on your bike reviews. Even if cut short. Enjoy all your vids. The vid that you said some one gave You grief about fingertip less gloves.... man I laughed so hard I blew beer out of my nose. Ouch that stung abit, but was worth it. Looking forward as always for your work. Ride Safe.
Got mine about a month ago, great bike, happy I waited until this was released to get a Harley, only made a few changes to mine, blacked out blinkers and brake lights, and gloss black fuel cap. Every where I go I get stopped by people wanting to check out the bike.
I have the white 2019 version. I'm going to "club" it out. Seeing that I live in the D.C. Metro area I don't see many bikes with that style. Harley hit a home run with this bike. It is a vast improvement over the 2007 1200c I had. Better brakes, suspension, updated electrical system, and it runs smoother.
Just got a new deluxe, but i've seen more of these new 1200's on the road than anything else. saw one guy in a parking lot with long hair, pull off his helmet and shake it back and forth like he was in some kind of movie, and no shit lay across it with his head near the handlebars talking on his cellphone like he was in some sort of photo shoot. guess this bike must make you feel all kinds of good to do that haha
4:50 did you scrape a peg? I'm already considering rear suspension upgrade if I buy this bike. Something with more adjustability and maybe a slightly higher ride height that will help with cornering clearance.
Personally, I love the peanut tank. This bike is a great “in town” bike. If ur getting on the interstate or If worried about miles between fill up, get a spare tank. They are cheap.
I did however bottom out the rear suspension to the point the belt guard scored the rear pulley. Luckily the pulley was replaced under warranty. So I added quite a few turns of preload to the rear shocks. I also put the slotted belt guard from the Roadster on and it looks good
Coming off of sport bikes the last 25 years and looking at this as my first cruiser. Can I have the dealership put on any accessories I want and add it to the price of the bike? Like stage 1?
Hi Fast-Action Jax, really enjoyed the review and is helping me decide what my first Harley will be. Quick question, do you know if the front cowl/wind deflector is removable; really like the look of the bike other than this. I know the 48 special would give me that look but I like the bigger tank and mid controls. Many thanks.
Just purchased a 2020 , ive had it to 112 on the speedo but my phone recorded 107 . Wasnt maxed out ,it felt like it had mpre tp give and i ran out of open road (traffic).
All of the harley motorcycles are smooth riders, but when it comes to ease of maintenance not so much. Victory, Indian, Yamaha & Honda all have ease of maintenance when it comes to oil changes. And the chain primary drive which no one has anymore is a mere legacy item that requires its own maintenance that a gear drive primary eliminates.
6 foot here also. It's ok for 6ft tall but you will feel the cramp in your back after an hour or so. Higher handle bars and a seat that's a little farther back should do the trick
Got the twisted cherry 2019 model and I love it. Wanted a sportster since I was a kid and this one doesn’t disappoint.

I couldnt agree more man! go nightsters!

thanks brother! I really appreciate the love
My son test drove one yesterday and loved it. He did say that he wish it had spring returns on the foot pegs though.

hell yeah Congrats! I love these new sporty's. what color you get?
Fast-Action Jax just like the one in the video

Gorgeous bike
looking forward to try this bike myself, it has to be amazing.
very few modifications and this would be my perfect motorcycle.

Sam lmao that was some funny as hell to read, really put a picyure in my head
I can picture that in my head, very funny.

Beautiful bike.

I don't know if you've rode the Low Rider S but would you prefer this over that?
Cue the scraping of peg at 4:51. From what I hear that’s a huge problem in this model. Needs to have different shocks and forward controls.
I’ve had my 1200 Iron since September 2018 and have never dragged a peg and I tried to. Maybe I’m not going fast enough lol.

I modified mine to my liking. Great bike!
Can you put the clips on older other recent Sporties.

thanks brother!
I like your review FAJ. hey how is the cowl wind deflection on it?
Actually surprised me a little bit, its not going to keep much wind out of your face but did a great job getting it off my chest
So is the bike physically "obviously" bigger than the 883? I liked the 883s but always felt like I look like a giant when I got on one.
The bike is exactly the same size as the Iron 883.
How tall are you?
What was your top speed?
Just purchased a 2020 , ive had it to 112 on the speedo but my phone recorded 107 . Wasnt maxed out ,it felt like it had mpre tp give and i ran out of open road (traffic).

How tall r u
I’m 6 foot flat
Is it comfortable do you feel cramped? I’m 6’1 not sure if I want this or street bob but I like the looks and price of the sportster more

RIP this bike :(
roaaaaaddddstttterrrrrr
I hate the paint. I dont want my bike to look like an amf bike. I would have to get her painted. Peace brother.
Totally agree, I think it looks horrendous.
It's so quiet though
Change the tank to flat black... (AMF paint job is UGLY)... Bars are comfortable, but UGLY. Then it's ok.
That seat is terrible. Its a Harley, not a f..... cafe racer
570 lbs. !?!? This pig could go on a diet. Lose 100lbs just for starters!! wow unbelievable. No wonder the plants are closing!??
Sure make it all plastic like the metrics. No thanks! This machine is solid.
This bike looks like a junkie toy. It could benefit from a straight bar and just a little more rake on the forks. Jesus
'Junkie toy'? Sounds like you belong on a Honda Rebel 250... Budah...
