I have so many feelings about Luke and Lorelai. And for the longest time, I was like “HOW DO THEY NOT SEE IT!?!?” But the older I get, the more I realize that sometimes it’s hard to bridge the gap between silently wanting something and having the guts to go after it, especially when life and love has kicked you in the pants time and again. It’s almost like the enormity of the potential of something is so overwhelming, that it’s almost better to want it forever than to go after it and not have it live up to the expectation you’ve been holding onto. Sheesh, I’m so happy they took the plunge. 💜
@@gwenvanhouwelingen Thanks!! Actually I wrote a 2nd season of AYITL... you can get the episodes on the description of this video th-cam.com/video/A0HZvw6gR-0/w-d-xo.html
Yep! The older I get myself I also kinda believe they weren't completely clueless or in denial, as I thought when I was younger... re-watching the episodes now makes me realize they were probably both waiting for the other to "take the plunge" in fact! They were scared to death of exposing themselves and their true feelings for one another! I don't even think it was truly out of fear of rejection as much as a fear of losing a beautiful friendship as it was, about it all getting weird and change too drastically too quickly, eventually. I found out myself the more you like someone the more scared you are of making that jump and tell them how you actually feel... the outcome of that could totally change your life as it is, for better or for worse, sometimes! Of course, and thank God, this worked for the better!!
I literally died at the ‘I should go’ scene. It was just a great moment. The longingly stare into her eyes, the smile and the eyes just locked in at one place. Absolutely amazing, can’t describe how much I fell in love here
i love the way these two were written to be together. it took forever for both of them to realize and then once they did it took forever for them to actually be together. then they became this old married couple straight away and i really wish they had more intimate scenes throughout their relationship because once they did start to date, i feel like that particular kind of intimacy was all gone and that was what i loved most about their relationship
I would make an observation... They were so good writen till season 5 ending.. from S6 and on they just went down... In S6 the palladinos fightin with WB result in that unreasonable and very low season were they did everything to destroy their relationship putting the sherry to the cake with Lorelai sleeping with Christopher, a hit that the show never got back on track again... S7 was soooo badddddd, it should've been so differente and in AYITL, inspite of the nice feelings you got seeing the show again afte so many years, the palladinos actually did what could've been S7 and that was a huge problem... Lorelai and Luke didn't move a bit in 9 years and Lorelai still was looking something she always got on her own hands!!!
@@chris.dav_8333 yeah, i think they were written well before season six too. that was exactly how they should’ve been written as well. i think it would’ve been weird if they suddenly became so lovey dovey around each other just because they started dating, so it’s good amy realized that. but because of that, we rarely ever got to see luke comforting lorelai or lorelai crying on his shoulder, lorelai calling him when something urgent happens, yk all the things we loved to see happen when they weren’t together. but i do agree other than that their relationship was well-written & well executed before season six. and yeah i wish a year in the life gave us more closure than they already did
@@ysabelle8873 I would've loved seeing Lorelai have another kid with Luke, although many fans say it's not the same because the show's name is Gilmore Girls but after 9 years I think it would've been great... They tortured us for almost four seasons. There were so many moments, when i thought, now it‘s gonna happen and nothing happened. But now i can say ist was worth it, to wait. :)
The priest, with the eyebrow raise and the "Oh, thank God...Carry on" cracks me up every time. Literally everyone thought they should be together, lol!
I watched GG then I stopped because I didn’t like Rory and I wanted Luke and Lore together so bad. Once I returned to the show they happened, the wedding episode. That wedding episode instantly turned this show into one of my all time favorites!

I often remember him seeming more prepared to "go there" in S1 than Lorelai, but really there are moments where she's totally hinting at it. The they settle into their BFF era for a couple seasons.
So true there were so many other moments like after Rachel left he went over and I feel like he was gonna confess his feelings but then max, or even when Christopher first showed up and they kind of had a date and she stood him up and he was disappointed

Honestly how do two adults not say " I think I like you more than a friend" and then "do you want to try and see where this goes"? I hate how pathetic this series made people now I am old

That episode has the best romantic scene ever... Their dance!!

I love how when they dance they avoided eye contact because they would laughed if they looked eachother in theyes they would laugh
The wedding scene 🤧
Very great scene!!!
The most unrealistic thing about this show is how long it took Luke to realize he's in love with a woman everybody else was in love since episode 1.
I think he did know by the way he looked at her and everything, he just refused to accept it until he finally came to accepting it. One of my all time favorite slow burn romances😭
Been trying to get into this show and I’ve decided it’s not because of Rory its because of lorelai and Luke
In my opinion, the best love story ver writen!! The coffee drinker and the coffee maker!!
The dance episode might be my favorite 💜 thank you for the good vibes!
Thanks!!!!
I just feel like the romance was written in, then delayed multiple times to extend the series.
Number 1 is my favorite because the song and dance was in the 2016 revival.
The first time I saw this scene in 2004 I honestly thought "this is it"... finally... but ASP had different plans!!! 🤣🤣
