Good for him, England is where he learnt his trade. My father was Welsh but I was born and bred in England and had I been talented enough would always have opted to play for England. Youngsters want to fit in with the people they grew up with.

Poor journalism, if the interviewer had done their homework they would know that he told his great uncle Eddie Gray last year that if picked he would play for England.
His pedigree comes from Scotland. His father is Andy Gray His grandfather is Frank and his great uncle is Eddie. A line up of Great jocks . So it's up to him really
Brilliant young player, its just a pity both England and Scotland managers do the same thing by only picking their pals and not players on merit.

Utter twaddle to suggest that. It will be easier for him to play for Scotland. Players faced with this choice choose England unless they aren't good enough, in which case they opt for Scotland.

To be fair Scotland currently have a fantastic golden generation which shows by qualifying for euros. Gray is a great young player as I said it's just a pity both managers dont pick players on merit
@@PRCOM Golden generations tend to win things or at least challenge at tournaments. If Scotland wanted true improvements they would scrap the Scottish league structure and join the English one. Of course the managers pick players on merit, you say they don't as if it is fact but it's merely an opinion of your. Do you think players like Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice get in the squad because they are Southgate's favourites. Scotland have a very limited pool of players that are good enough for top level football, let alone international football so I doubt they do that either.
